a proverbial question: would you choose the one you love or the one who loves you?

Foreword

this is actually based on a friend's love story with my interpretation of Sara Bareilles' song. this is supposedly a one shot but i'm just too excited to post the first part so i'll make it a multi-shot. also, i want to post this first on DGH but i still can't get my 'original' acct back. sad
