this is different from the other sketchs because this is more of realistic than the others, the sketchs that i drew in my mini sketch book is when im bored, but this one the ones that i will post here is finished with effort and time ~ for my project in my subject SKETCH 101 :)

PROCESS STAGE 1 'THE SKETCH'  Excuse me for my hagardness :) :

PICTURE WITH THE ARTIST LOL, sorry for the hagardness and the contrast our house keeper was the one who took a picture of me holding the portrait that time and the room was dark lol.

AND NOW FOR WHAT EVERYBODY IS ANTICIPATING-- the COLORING via SOFT PASTEL~

STAGE 2 : COLORS, choosing and blending (soft pastel is one of the hardest medium in coloring)

FIRSTLY one should pick the base color from light to dark or the other way around depending on the artist~ i choose light to dark :)

Also, I added the tone in her nose, the shadow around it and blushed it a bit so the color could give more realistic effects on the face and the nose and the lips area, which was my favorite part to do the lips from contrasting it to light to dark :)

Then add the other colors via brush (yes i use dry flat brush) and i added the blush tone in her cheeks and other part gently cause if you will not brush gently soft pastel tend to dust away the first colors that is layered. so one should be careful in using soft pastel as it sumdges. :D

After Hours and Hours of brushing and coloring the portrait (YES HOURS) its doesn't take a minute or an hour to do it :) this took me like 5 hours to finish and another 5hours for second coating and finishing :) as you can see the face is getting darker as i add more intense color into it :) so its would look like an image or a photo realstic art

Going through the neck this time is the challenging part as I will color it by its base again and retone the color from the first step that i made in the face :) it should match the face of course.

AND AGAIN MAKING SURE THAT EVERYTHING is set and every color is on place.

Using a bigger brush to make the neck smoother and not that hard to look at so it would look natural when you look at it at a frame.
