Lets Go To Korea!

A Nu Highschool Romace

At 5:30 Vanessa walked into the twin’s room to wake them up but felt they were too adorable to wake. They were both lying in each other’s arms, Tammy’s head in the crook of Tamara’s neck. Vanessa got excited by the rare sight and ran to the kitchen to get their parents.

“Mr and Mrs Klein! You have to come and see your daughters!” Vanessa exclaimed.

“What? Are they ok?” Mr. Klein asked.

“Ye fine, but they look really adorable” Vanessa said running back out of the kitchen and back to their room.

Their parents soon followed and when they walked through the twin’s bedroom they couldn’t help but get out their phones and take photos of the rare sight. All the flashing and clicking woke the girls from their dreams and they quickly stopped taking photos.

“Mother, Father stop taking photos. I’m not wearing any make-up!” Tamara said from under the blankets.

“Sorry, girls” the parents said together.

“Anyway girls it’s time to get up and start getting ready to leave” Vanessa said walking over to the curtains and pulling them open revealing the beautiful Melbourne sunrise.

The girls crawled out of bed and, still crawling, went into their bathrooms and showered, dressed, blow dried, make-uped, teeth brushed, perfumised and lip glossed. When they came out their parents were sitting on Tammy’s bed holding small, colour coded, boxes each.

“Wow, girls you look the almost exactly the same!” their mother said.

“Um mother, we are twins we always look the same” Tammy said looking at her mother and then her sister.

“Yeh, but something today makes you seem more alike. I have to agree with your mother.” Their father said inspecting them.

“Soooo, watcha got  there in your hands?” Tamara asked walking to her parents with Tammy close behind her.

“Just some going away presents” their mother said.

“Don’t you think the clothes and phones were enough” Tammy said.

“Yeh, but we wanted to give you something so whenever you look in the mirror you will think of us” their father said standing up and looking into his daughters eyes.

“You aren’t going to take us to get our faces tattooed are you” Tamara asked.

“Tamara sometimes I think you aren’t my sister. Babo” Tammy said shaking her head.

“Hey be nice, we aren’t going to be there to stop your fights while you’re in Korea so you have to go a year without fighting” their mother said giving them a stern look.

“So anyway, here you go” their father said handing Tammy a box and their mother handing Tamara a box.

They opened it to find matching necklaces with small butterflies on the end, colour coded of course.

“They’re beautiful!” the twins exclaimed together.

They handed them to their parents and turned so they could put it on for them. Their parents clipped them on and the twins turned to each other inspecting them.

“Thank you Mummy and Daddy” the twins said together hugging their parents.

“Now I’d hate to ruin the mood but because the girls took so long to get ready you are running late” Vanessa said from the door way with a sad face and a tear running down her cheek. “The car is waiting with the luggage already packed”

The girls ran to Vanessa and gave her a big hug squeezing her.

“Stay safe girls” Vanessa said.

“We will, but take care of yourself!” they said together.

“I will” Vanessa simply said before she let go of the girls and left their room sobbing.

Their parents walked up behind them and held their hands pulling them out of their room and down the hall, down the stairs, to the left , than the right, then down more stairs and finally through the foyer and out the door. They walked out of the house and down to the car where their parents sat in the front and the girls got in the back feeling sad to see Vanessa like that.

As they drove away from their home, they couldn’t help but wave good bye. They travelled thirty minutes to the Avalon Airport. When they arrived their father went to get trolleys for the ten bags. When he returned they all put them on and pushed the trolleys to the international departure gate. When they arrived the twins turned to their parents and their mother was already crying. The twins felt the need to cry but had already promised each other that they wouldn’t so they stayed strong and bit their lip to keep it in.

“Mother, you can’t cry!” Tammy said walking to her and wiping a tear from her cheek.

“I’m sorry, it just makes me sad to see that my girls have already grown up so fast” she said straightening up and wiping the tears.

“Let’s go check our luggage in before father starts” Tamara said grabbing her father’s hand and helping him push the trolley with the other.

They went to the desk and checked in their luggage. All they had left were small suitcases, colour coded as usual, for carry on. They walked back to the gate and then their mother started crying again.

“Mother you have to stop Tamara and I promised we wouldn’t cry!” Tammy said hugging her mother and squeezing her.

“I’m sorry, I just don’t know what I would do without my angels” she said trying to pull herself together for the second time.

“Mother, Father. Be safe, take care of each other. I will take good care of Tammy and I'm sure she will take care of me too. Now don’t cry or else we will too. If you miss us we have our phone always, just don’t call during classes. We also have the laptops Vanessa gave us so we will download Skype and we can Skype every day before bed if that makes you happy” Tamara said taking her sisters hand and squeezing it to try to prevent the tears from pouring.

Ding Dong ~ ‘Flight number 226 to Seoul is now boarding, Thank you’

“That's your flight girls, be safe and take good care of each other. Call us when you arrive” their father said before kissing them on the forehead.

Their mother did the same and they walked away hand in hand pulling along their suit cases. They stopped and turned before passing through the gate and saw their mother and father in a tight embrace both with tears in their eyes. The girls wave good bye and walked through the gate where they could no longer see their parents. Tammy turned to her sister and wiped the tear trickling down her cheek.

“Stay strong sissy, we still have each other” Tammy said to her sister squeezing her and jumping into the line boarding the plane.

As they progressed up the line they saw their plane and their hearts started beating fast. Neither of them ever liked planes but they had been on them many times. As they got to the hostess and handed her their ticket, still holding hands, they couldn’t help but get really excited.

As they walked down the tunnel to the plane they could feel each other’s pulse and the excitement flying through them through their twin bond. When they got onto the plane they found their seats in first class and put their carry on away, not before getting out their iPad, iPod, Tammy got her glasses and Tamara got them both a small neck pillow and white blanket with panda’s on it.

They sat down and pulled their tables down and snuggled together. Tammy got her iPod and handed her sister a headphone. She then put it soft and on shuffle. The girls both got out their phones and went on Facebook before leaving.

~Just got on the plane to Korea. CAN’T WAIT! Gonna miss you all~ Tamara’s Post.

~Omo, only an 11 hour flight and I’ll be in Korea! So excited... but I'm going to miss every one so much!!~ Tammy’s Post.

They put all their electronics on flight mode and got comfortable for their long flight. Tamara opened a book on her iPad and Tammy did the same on hers. A flight attendant approached them.

“Would you ladies like Champaign?” the attendant asked.

“No, underage” Tammy said.

“Oh, well is there anything else I could get you?” she asked.

“Lemonade please” the twins said simultaneously.

The slight attendant let out a small giggle. “Right away”

The girls returned to their books and before they knew it the flight attendant returned with their drinks on a silver tray.

“Anything else ladies?” She asked.

“No thank you” they said together again.

The flight attendant smiled and walked away leaving the girls to relax and enjoy their books.

They waited another three minutes and then the fasten seatbelts sign was flashing. The girls put down their iPad’s and did as the sign told them. They looked up from their belts to see the attendant who served them giving the safety instructions.

“You don’t think we will need those do you?” Tammy asked her older twin.

“No. If we do at least it is together” Tamara said.

“Oh yeh, cause that doesn’t make me fear for my life” Tammy said.

“Don't worry, we will be fine. It’s never happened the other seventeen times we have been on a plane” Tamara said smiling at her sister.

“True” Tammy said relaxing.

Ding ~ the flight will be now taking off. Be sure to have fastened your seat belt, thank you~

The girls just picked up their iPad’s as they were used to this part.

The flight took off and both girls had started chewing gum to stop the popping. Tammy took a sip of her lemonade and the plane started to level out. The girls were silent listening to their music and enjoying their books. Tammy reading breaking dawn for the seventh time and Tamara reading Harry Potter a fifth time. Both girls love these books and were thrilled when the last movie for each of them came out.

“Hey Tamara?” Tammy said bringing her twins head out of her book.

“Yeh” Tamara answered looking at her sister.

“Did father give you the address for our apartment?” Tammy asked concerned.

“Yep, and it’s only like seven blocks from school” Tamara said.

“Is it a nice apartment?” she asked whispering for no reason.

“Yeh, I googled it and it has an awesome view of the city and it has two bedrooms and dad even hired men to go there and decorate our rooms for us. I think they even stocked us up with food and drinks. He also got them to decorate the rest of the apartment and they set up a huge T.v with surround sound and a nice big couch” Tamara said.

“Why didn’t I know this?” Tammy asked.

“Dad wanted it to be a surprise for both of us but I got it out of him, and then he made me promise not to tell you but I couldn’t help it, I'm just too excited” Tamara said super happy.

“Ohhh, did he show you or just tell you?” Tammy asked.

“Told me, but there’s probably more” Tamara said. “You  know father, the under stater”

“Now I can’t wait to be there! Wait! Hold up! Did you say two bedrooms?” Tammy asked flapping around her arms.

“Yeh, we got one each” Tamara said.

“This will be the first time ever we have slept in separate rooms” Tammy said.

“O.M.G. You are so true!” Tamara said. At least we will have enough closet space for ourselves” Tamara said wiggling her eyebrows.

“What do you mean?” Tammy asked while grabbing her twin’s eyebrows to stop them from wiggling.

“We both have walk in closets and our own bathroom” Tamara said.

“We had that at home” Tammy said.

“Yeh well, now we can bring people over without interruptions” Tamara said wiggling the eyebrows again.

“Wait! What do you mean by that!?” Tammy said stopping the eyebrows yet again.

“I mean we can have people over to help us study without the other interrupting while playing the piano in the same room!” Tamera said yelling the last part causing some people to hush her.

“Ohhh, I wonder if father got me a piano in our new apartment.” Tammy said.

“That's what you got from that, no sorry for interrupting or I won’t do it again” Tamara said frowning.

“Sis, we were eleven get over it!” Tammy said.

“Fine, and yes I'm pretty sure he had a room for all our instruments” Tamara said picking her book back up and reading it again.

“Yes” Tammy said doing a little happy dance.

~

Both girls were greatly musically skilled. Both with killer voices. Tammy played the piano, drums, trumpet and flute. Tamara played the guitar, bass, violin and saxophone. They would often have jam sessions in their room making either acoustic versions of their favourite k-pop songs or writing their own songs. Tammy would play the piano most of the time and Tamara would play the guitar and they would play chords and work out a nice set then add lyrics to make it sound better. They had a lot of late nights or all nighters doing what they loved, which was playing and making music.

~

The girls read for what felt like a long time and soon enough they were asleep, Tammy’s head on Tamara’s shoulder and Tamara’s head on Tammy’s head. They had dreams of their future adventures in Korea again like every night for the last two weeks.

When they woke the flight had only two hours left which meant they had slept for about seven hours.

“Who knew you could sleep for so long on a plane? I mean that is probably the longest we have ever slept on a plane” Tammy said stretching and yawning.

“I know, and we even slept for eight hours last night” Tamara said stretching her legs out.

“What should we do?” Tammy asked.

“Selca time?” Tamara asked waving her iPad.

“Yes!” Tammy said.

The girls took continuous selcas for almost half an hour. When they were done they versed each other on heaps of games, flicking each other’s forehead when they won. When they both had big red spots on their heads, they decided to stop. The flight only had forty five minutes left and all they wanted to do was get out of the plane and stretch their legs, which were now going numb.

The girls couldn’t find anything else to do so they got their iPad’s and read their books again. When the flight was almost over, they got their stuff all packed up and put it back in their suitcases and then put the suitcases back away before the landing. The landing was smooth and they couldn’t wait to take their first steps on Korean soil. The flight attendants opened the doors and the twins both took a deep breath, breathing in Korean air. They got up from their seats, grabbed their suitcases and walked off the plane.

“Omo, Korean ground feels so nice!” Tamara said skipping around Tammy.

“Would you stop! You’re embarrassing me!” Tammy said covering her face with a pair of sun glasses and her hand.

As they walked into the airport they read all the signs to find the luggage pick up.

“That way!” Tammy said pointing down the way the rest of the people were going.

As they followed the people they found the luggage pick up. They both went and got trolley’s and loaded them with their suitcases.

“Hey Tamara?” Tammy said as they walked away from the people crowding the luggage collection.

“Yeh?”

“Did dad arrange transport to the apartment?” Tammy asked.

“Yep”

“Why don’t I get told anything” Tammy said stomping her foot.

“Because I asked him too” Tamara said giving her sister a stupid look.

“Oh”

As they walked through the gate to the main part of the airport they looked around for a driver.

“There he is!” Tamara said pointing.

The girls approached him.

“Good afternoon ladies, I am your driver for today. My name is Tae Ik, nice to meet you” He said in perfect English.

“Thank you Tae Ik.” the girls said together.

“I'm Tammy”

“And I’m Tamara”

“It’s nice to meet you” they finished saying together.

“Right this way ladies. The van is right outside the airport and it will take about 30 minutes to get to your apartment” Tae Ik said while pushing through crowds, trying to get to the exit.

When they found the car, they knew their dad would go overboard. It was a black van, one like idols drive around in and it had enough seats for nine people.

“Man you could fit GG in here” Tammy said as she  sat down.

The driver stuck his head in the door. “You two ladies get comfortable and I’ll load the luggage”

“Do you need help?” they asked.

“No, I’ll be fine” he said popping his head out and closing the doors to the van.

The driver loaded the ten suitcases which took up all of the back of the car plus the back seats of the van and then he got into the driver’s seat and drove away from the airport.

“Any music requests?” he asked.

“Anything K-pop” they said together.

He the radio and they listened to GG’s new song I got a boy.
