“Sorry”, It was the word that Kim Jonghyun never wanted to hear. His heart was breaking but he cannot do anything about it. He just asked Ji Sun to marry him, it’s not that he was rushing; in fact he was willing to wait for her no matter how long. Unfortunately, his family doesn’t agree with him.

For an heir to a big medical corporation like him, it is absolutely necessary to establish a family that could help him nurtures the company. It’s either he finds a wife or they find a wife for him. But he only wants Ji Sun. So he took up all his courage and asked her finally and this is what he got.

“Oppa?”, she asked him making him wake up from his daze. “Are you okay?”, she was obviously worried.

“H-huh?, of course I’m okay, e-he-he”, he tried his best to laugh and smile even though he was dying inside. “I’ll just ask you again and again until you’re ready”

Ji Sun blushed. “I’m really sorry oppa”.

“Ya! Stop saying sorry, I told you I’m okay”, he tried to jokingly scold her to make her feel better but she just nod and avoided his gaze.

This is awkward. Jonghyun thought. “Anyway, you should sleep now, Ji Sun-ah”, he said as he ruffled her hair. “I’ll fetch you again tomorrow, neh?”

“I’ll prove to you that I’m okay and we’ll be smiling again tomorrow bestfriend”, and then he pouted. “But you have to promise me that you’d cook me breakfast”

And with that, Ji Sun nodded and Jonghyun left her place.

Ji Sun’s POV:

Ji Sun ran to her room as soon as Jonghyun left, she locked herself inside and hugged her pillow really tight. She was shaking, she was sad and happy at the same time.

Jonghyun oppa proposed to me. He proposed to me! She was secretly happy inside, she was indeed the happiest girl alive. That was what she really thought. But at the same time, she was sad; the chance was already there, she could be with her Jonghyun oppa forever. She knew Jonghyun love her and she love him as well. But more than the love she feel was the fear she has had since she was a kid; it was her fear of marriage.

I made oppa sad again. It breaks her heart every time she remembers how many times she disappointed Jonghyun.  She wanted to be with him but not when her insecurities are still devouring her. She just can’t, she was a coward after all.

Ji Sun was busy drowning herself with her insecurities when her phone suddenly vibrated. She checked her caller id and saw her other bestfriend’s name. It was Soojung, she immediately answered the phone knowing how much she wanted someone to talk to or else she’s going to have nightmares again. As soon as she answered the phone, “KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” , the long ear jerking scream of Soojung was heard on the phone. “Congratulations you’re getting married!”, she added.

“W-wait! You knew?! You knew he was going to propose to me?”, Ji Sun immediately accused her. “Dae!”, but she still answered lively. “My chinggu is getting married”, Soojung started to chant at the other side.

“How could you keep something like this from me Soojungie?”, Ji Sun asked her.

“Of course, I’m going to keep it, it was meant to be a surprise, tsk”, and then she started chanting again.

“How could you!? You should have told me about it! If you did, I could have been able to hide from him. I should have accepted that out of town work my boss offered me! Aish! I hurt oppa again!”

“W-WAIT! W-WHAT?! YOU WHAT?!”, she suddenly stopped.

Ji Sun made a huge sigh.

“YOU DECLINED HIM?!”, she was screaming now.

“Dae”, and then Ji Sun sighed again. “You know why I did it right?”

“I know! But this is just too much Ji Sun-ah! There’s a huge difference”, she stopped.

“There’s a big difference between your parents and Jonghyun and you”.

“You’re parents loathed each other, they can’t stand each other’s guts, but you guys”, she started to calm down and Ji Sun continued to listen.

“You guys love each other”, she said which made Ji Sun blush.

“You understand each more than anyone else does. You guys are inseparable”

“I know”, I answered her. “But it was too sudden”

Silence filled the room.

“Ya? Ji Sun-ah, did he even tell you why he was so eager to propose to you?”,  she asked.

“His parent’s has already given an ultimatum. Next week their going to announce that the Kim heir is getting married”

Time stopped for me.

“And then a month from now, the bride will be revealed.”

“Don’t you get Ji Sun-ah? He needs to be able to choose a bride before that time or else he would have to marry someon---“, Ji Sun cut the call before she could even finish what she was about to say.

“Andwae! Andwae!”, she was shaking when she was typing Jonghyun’s number when she suddenly received a call. It was from Jonghyun.

She immediately answered it, “Oppa! I’ll do it! I’LL MARRY YOU!”, the other line was silent for a while and then she heard someone clear his throat.

“Is this Miss Han Ji Sun?”, the other person answered.

“Dae, w-who are you?”, chincha I just confessed to a different guy.

“The guy who owns this phone just had a car accident”
