Approximately 20 years after legendary K-Pop group, Girls' Generation has disbanded. The girls have already moved on with their idol lives, but have still maintained their strong friendship.Their ex-company, SM Entertainment, has been crumbling. Their long reign of power has long disappeared, and new K-Pop superpowers had taken over. SM's artists have either been forgotten, ignored, or have become "things of the past" to the current hardcore K-Pop fans. Their fans—the decreasing number of SONEs—are the only ones who care to preserve their legacies; their past fame. In attempt to regain their power, SM Entertainment has decided to bring back Girls' Generation. Hopefuls will train, but only a certain nine would learn and experience what the original of Girls' Generation had to go through. Once they debut, they will take the names of the Girls' Generation members, live the same spirit of the old members, and perform their songs.
