“You must be stronger than you look” he said faintly, almost smiling.

“My older brother and his friends pass out drunk all the time” you said annoyance obvious in your voice.

L.Joe smiled then and it made you catch your breath. You blushed, realising how close he was and how good looking he was.

“Does that make us even now” you blurted, L.Joe stood up straight and looked at you confused.

“Technically you helped me get out of that cupboard” you said then shivered at the memory.

“I didn’t help you that time” he said as he turned to leave.

“What?” you said not understanding

“i got myself out, you were lucky” he replied no emotion in his voice what so ever.

“Oh” you said in understanding

He shook his head fighting another smile and walked away.

Before he was out of sight he turned

“When I help you again, then we’ll be even” he said then continued walking.

What does he mean by when?
