Description
A collection of one-shots/short stories based on childhood fairytales and nursery rhymes, as well as non-fairytale psychological thrillers. The stories won't be posted directly on here as chapters, but for every story I will post a short summary & the link to it, so subscribe if you want to be notified of new stories.
Be prepared though, dear reader... These aren't your usual bedtime stories.
Foreword
They were tucked into bed,
a little boy and girl,
pajamas with trains for him,
pajamas with kittens for her.
Their babysitter sat down
on a stool, a book in hand.
She turned over to the first page
and read by the flickering candlelight:
My dear little children,
Goodnight in advance to you.
I recommend reading just one
each time, before your eyelids droop,
and you drift into nightmares.
Read more than two together,
and I just might have to say to you
a permanent goodbye.
