“Hey Donghae, meet this cute girl I just met” My friend, Heechul dragged over a cold looking girl who was glaring at me. She seemed to be annoyed with his actions.

“I can walk on my own” She coldly told him, yanking her hand back from Heechul. She turned her head and her eyes met mine “H-hi” She shyly stuttered, bowing her head.

“Hey” I smiled at her, bowing back “I’m Lee Donghae” I introduced myself first. She was actually pretty cute like Heechul said before.

“I’m Jung S-Sooyeon…but call me Jessica” She told me with a shy smile which made her even cuter. I turned my head to where once my friend Heechul was standing to see now that he has disappeared now, leaving Jessica and I alone. There was an awkward silence between us. We were looking around our surrounding, not saying a word to each other. I saw her stealing glances at me though and I did the same.

I thought I should say something by now “Um—“I was interrupted by her stomach growling. Her face was flushed with embarrassment. I chuckled at her cuteness “Wanna grab lunch?” I smiled at her. A small smile curved upon her lips “Let’s go” I said, grabbing hold of her hand. It was cold yet warm.

I thought of you every day
I couldn’t do anything (almost going crazy)

“So, you and Sica are getting closer these days” Heechul winked at me. I couldn’t help but let out a small smile when he mentioned her name.

“We’re just friends” I chuckled.

“Friends for now” He gave me his infamous Heenim smirk before walking away. I wonder what goes around his head.

“Whatever” I put on my headphones and looked out the window. Suddenly a memory of Jessica smiling was appearing in the sky. Donghae oppa her voice was clear in my head. Lee Donghae, you’re really going crazy about this girl. I flipped open my phone, looking at the selca Sica and I took together just the other day. I wonder what she’s doing now…

Unable to turn my gaze away

“Ahh Tiffany!!” I heard Jessica’s voice close-by. I quickly turned my head to the direction I heard it. There. I saw her, walking with her best friend Tiffany Hwang. They were smiling together, but my focus was only on Jessica. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.

“Earth to Donghae” I heard my best friends calling out next to me, but I ignored them. No matter, my only attention was just on her. Then I saw her eyes look up towards my direction. She was looking directly in my eyes. She let out a soft smile waving at me.

“Hey Fishy” She called out. But I could only continue to stare “Fishy” She called out once again. Snap out of it Donghae!

I shook my head going back to reality “Oh, hey Sica!” I smiled and waved back at her. I saw Tiffany whisper something in her ear which made Jessica’s cheeks turn a rosy light pink before diverting her eyes away from me.

I was walking back to my dorm with the groceries in one hand since Heechul made me buy everything. I was holding an umbrella with my free hand since it was raining right now, worst time to go shopping. As I was walking back home, I could hear the thunder. I frowned. How is Jessica doing? She’s terrified of thunder. I picked up my phone to call her, but I got no answer. I couldn’t help but worry a bit more now. Suddenly someone bumped into me, making me drop my umbrella.

“I’m so sorry” The girl apologized with a shaky voice. I looked up immediately at that voice, I know it. It’s hers.

I looked at her “Sica?” I gently called out. She looked up at me, making eye contact. Her eyes were moist.

Her lips trembled a bit “F-fishy!” I gently cupped her cheek, wiping her tears away with my thumb.

“Don’t cry” I whispered at her softly “I’m here to protect you” I cooed, smiling at her. She hugged me straight away. I chuckled softly at her actions. I made her stand up first and after picking up my things. I asked her to hold the groceries and she did. I held the umbrella under the both of us and held her hand tightly to make her feel safe. I walked her all the way to her dorm.

“Thank you” She smiled at me when we reached the door.

“Sweet dreams” I leaned in to give her a soft kiss on her forehead.

I waited for Jessica inside the gym…I nervously waiting for her while holding a single rose in my hand. I turned my head to the door when I heard it open… “Donghae?” I heard her voice. I quickly put the rose behind my back. I walked down closer to her while she was walking towards me as well. As soon as she was in front of me, I gathered up all my courage placing the rose in front of me, holding it out to her.

“I think I’m in love with this girl” I confessed to her, looking directly into her eyes, letting her know she was the girl. She looked shocked. She stared at the rose.

“R-really?”

“Madly in love” I saw a smile appear on her face, she accepted the rose placing it under her nose to smell.

“I thought you didn’t” She lightly hit my chest.

“I always have” I leaned in, placing my lips against hers. A soft kiss “I love you” I whispered against her lips making her blush.

Jessica and I were shopping together “Wait” She stopped us in front of a jewellery store “Look” She pointed to the window with couple rings on display.

I pointed to the silver one “Should we get this one?” I grinned at her. She smiled back while nodding frantically “Alright then!” I said, walking inside the store. She followed behind me.

“Should I help pay?” She asked from behind me. I turned around to face her.

“No!”

“But…it looks pretty expensive” He pouted her lips.

“I’m rich” I winked “So don’t worry you pretty head, princess” I pecked both her cheeks before walking off to buy the couple rings. A few minutes later I returned back to Jessica.

“Give me your hand” I said quickly, quite excitedly. She blinked a few times before shyly giving me her right hand. I pecked to top of her hand before sliding the ring on her finger. She smiled while admiring the ring on her finger.

“Now, give me your hand” She giggled, copying my words.

“No” I playfully poked my tongue out.

“Pleaase” She was using her aegyo pout on me, one of my big weaknesses.

“You’re too cute” I said, giving her my hand. She smiled in victory and slid the ring onto my finger as well.

“You only belong to me” I grinned, hugging her closer to me.

“Possessive much?” She chuckled.

“Very” I puffed up my cheeks "No one is allowed to have you" I was being immature, but I'm very selfish when it comes to Jessica.

I arrived at the park where I’m supposed to meet Jessica. I was kind of surprised to see her here before me. I quietly walked up behind her, wanting to surprise her “Happy one year anniversary” I hugged her from behind. She yelped in surprise, she turned around to hit my chest.

“You scared me!” She pouted.

“Sorry” I pecked her pout. She giggled and jumped on my back and I hoisted her up properly. She wrapped her arms around my neck and rested her chin on my shoulder.

“Can you believe it’s been a year?” She softly said as I was walking straight casually.

“And it’ll last forever”

“Really?” She smiled shyly.

“Of course! And we’re gonna get married” I grinned playfully. Though…I really hope it’ll be true.

Occasionally, when there is a quarrel

I watched her cry and it was breaking my heart “Sica…” I reached out my hand to her but she quickly backed away “Please don’t believe her” I told her with pleading eyes.

“Why would she lie to me?” She yelled at me.

“You believe her more than me?!” I yelled back due to frustration “You know…I’d NEVER do anything to hurt you” I stepped closer towards her. I was hurt as well, that she even doubted me.

“I’m sorry” She lowly whispered, looking down at the ground “It’s just sh---“

“Shhh” I cooed and shut her up with a kiss.

Today’s the day “Good luck man” The guys patted my shoulder and kept wishing me luck.

“Thanks” I finally said before going out to meet Jessica at our usual spot. I saw her resting on the bench…aw. She must be so tired. I silently sat next to her, taking out my phone to snap a picture of her while resting. Her eyes half opened when she heard my phone made when it snapped a picture.

“I’m sorry” I whispered to her when she looked over at me blankly. She shook her head and gave me her usual soft, sweet smile.

“So, what’s the special occasion?” She asked me.

“Huh?”

“You’re wearing a suit” She pointed out “You only wear them on special occasions” She knew me so well.

“Well yeah, you’re right” I chuckled “Sica, I love you so much” I told her seriously. She smiled at me.

“And I love you so much as well”

“Soo…” I slowly kneeled down on one knee “I thought it was the right time for this” I looked up at her shocked expression as I brought out a small ring from my pocket “Will you…Jessica Jung Sooyeon, marry me?” I asked while holding her hand. Tears were streaming down her face, but she was smiling and nodded frantically.

“Yes!!” was all she managed to say, but that was all I needed to hear. I slid the ring on her finger and within a second she hugged me tightly “I love you Fishy”

“You’re officially gonna be Mrs. Lee next week!!!” Her best friend Tiffany was spazzing at Jessica out loud. She seemed even more excited than Jessica herself.

“Do you want to be a Lee as well baby?” Her boyfriend and my best friend, Eunhyuk wrapped his arms around her waist. She just madly blushed at his words. Jessica and I chuckled at the other couple in front of us.

“Lee Sooyeon. Jessica Lee” I commented to myself but made sure Jessica could hear me as well. She looked up at me, biting her lower lip gently while blushing.

“It…sounds nice” She smiled.

“I like it a lot” I put my arm around her shoulder pulling her closer to my side.

“I can’t wait”

“Do you, Lee Donghae, accept Jessica to be your partner, in sickness and in health, 'til deaths do you part?” the priest looked over at me. I sent a smile towards Jessica. She was so beautiful in that wedding dress. She was a goddess. No. She was my goddess.

“I do”

“And do you, Jessica Jung, accept Donghae to be your partner, in sickness and in health, ‘til deaths do you part?” He now looked over at Jessica. She looked like she was trying to contain her tears.

“I do” She softly spoke. We both put the rings onto each other.

“I know pronounce you, husband and wife” He said out loudly “You may now kiss the bride!” He said his final lines.

I grinned cheekily, leaning my head closer to hers “I was waiting for this all day” I whispered and kissed her passionately. Our entire guests now were all cheering crazily. Tiffany’s voice stuck out the most though.

I pulled back from the kiss. I stared into her eyes while she stared back into mine “I love you” We both said to each other sincerely.

We both walked outside together to get some fresh air “So…Mrs. Lee” I smirked. Her cheeks turned a rosy pink which was extremely cute.  

“It’s all so magically” She smiled up at the sky, resting her head one my shoulder. I held her hand, locking our fingers together tightly.

“I’ll never let you go” I told her.

“I know”

I smiled looking over at my wife “You’re like a queen and beautiful” I sang to her softly of a song I wrote for her “I just can’t be without you, girl"
