Tea Princess

Park Bo Young. Yes, she's your typical teenager living a normal life in America. She graduates from High School and her life seemed to be going so smoothly until her life turned from ordinary, into a gradual downward spiral. Her life changed the day she gets a job. A full time job in Seoul, South Korea in a tiny cafe. What happens when things don't turn out the way she thought it would?

Park Bo Young (19)

Park Bo Young lived a semi normal life. She was born and raised in Korea until she was 14. Then her family moved to America that summer. She enrolled into her middle school when she was in 7th grade. Her middle school years were rough because she never fit in. She was classified as the wierd foreign kid. Because of her determined personality, she learned english within her 2 years in middle school and she was an ordinary student in high school. Her mom and dad owns a nail and hair salon in America and she has a cute but annoying younger brother. 

Park Bo Young seems so ordinary but she's a special young lady. However, hardly anyone's noticed how special she truly is. She has a cute and quirky charm yet she's extremely independent, stubborn, determined to get anything done. She may look approachable but she's actually pretty awkward when you first meet her. It's as if she locks herself away in this protective shell. But once ya get to know her she will show her playful and loving side. 

Kim Soo Hyun (21)

Kim Soo Hyun had a rough childhood. His parents fought constantly when he was a kid until one day they finally split up. He was told his dad fled and his mom was forced to take care of Kim Soo Hyun by herself. It was a rough two years without his dad to take care of them but then his mom remarried another man. He was nice and he took care of the family. He had an older step brother Uhm Ki Joon who was rarely around because he was in college. Tragically, his parents passed away in a car accident two years later and his step brother took him in when he was 8 years old. Now, Kim Soo Hyun is working in his older brother's cafe.

Kim Soo Hyun has passion for what he does. He sees coffee as art, not food. In other words, he really loves coffee. He's a natural leader. He's in charge of the shop when his brother is away. Kim Soo Hyun has a very split personality. He can tend to get really bossy and arrogant frequently. He's very serious about his job so don't piss him off! He has little patience and he acts cocky and boastful. He has another side to him though. He has a sweet and kind side. He is truly caring about everyone. He has the most gorgeous smile. However, he shows his arrogant side more than his good side. 

Choi Siwon (21)

Choi Siwon is Soo Hyun's best friend. He lives with Soo Hyun and he works at the cafe. Him and Soo Hyun has been best friends since their freshman year in high school. At the time Siwon was going through rough times and Soo Hyun was always there for him. Siwon had an abusive dad so he ran away from home and he moved in with Soo Hyun. They're really close friends because they're going through the same thing.

Siwon has a fun personality. He's easily approachable and he's classified as the "nice guy". He's protective of the people he's close with and he is easily connectable. He's social and easy to get along with. He's gives a 110% in everything he does. He's determined to work hard and do his best!

Kim Yoo Jin (24)

Kim Yoo Jin works at MinT Cafe. She is one of the oldest workers at the cafe. She is a coffee barista and specializes in tea. She has a boyfriend she's been dating for 3 years. She is sophisticated and beautiful. She has a hard working personality. Everyone respects her for her age and experience in being a coffee barista.  

Lee Hyun Woo (18)

Lee Hyun Woo is the youngest worker at Cafe MinT. He is currently in his last year of high school so he only works part time at the cafe. During weekdays he works at the cafe in the evening and during weekends he works full time. During winter and summer break he works full time. He has a happy and bubbly personality. He has so much energy and he can easily make anyone laugh or smile. He thinks he's really cool but yeah... he's just too cute and adorable.

Lee Ji Eun (18)

Lee Ji Eun is in her last year of high school. She is smart and pretty. Almost everyday she comes to Cafe MinT. On weekdays, she comes to the cafe in mid afternoon, studies and then she goes home at night. On weekends she walks her dog to the cafe in the morning, buys a drink, and walks her dog home. Then in the afternoon she comes in the cafe and she reads for a few hours, and then she walks home. She comes to the cafe so frequently that she knows the workers well. She has a love for reading and journaling. She loves tea and coffee. She is cute, funny, and has a sweet charm.

Park Jiyeon (19)

Park Jiyeon is Kim Soo Hyun's ex girlfriend. She still doesn't understand why they broke up so she wants to get back together with him. She still visits him all the time at the cafe. Most of the time Soo Hyun isn't so happy to see her so he usually ignores her. She is consistantly trying to be with him again. She gets jealous really easily when he sees her talking with other girls. When she gets jealous, it's scary. 

Song Joong Ki (20)

Song Joong Ki is Bo Young's ex. They both lived in the same town in California and they dated for over a year and a half. Everything was going smoothly until one day, he was forced to move to Korea. They knew this long distance relationship wasn't going to work out so they broke up. He was devastated when they broke up. He still misses her and he wished it never happened. One day he hopes that he can return to America and be with her again.

Uhm Ki Joon (39)

Uhm Ki Joon's mother left when Uhm Ki Joon was very young so he had no memory of his mom. When he was 25, his dad remarried but Uhm Ki Joon was still studying in college during that time so he was never home. Two years later his parents both passed away in a fatal car accident. He took his younger step brother under his care. He basically raised him. Kim Soo Hyun and Uhm Ki Joon have a close fatherlike son relationship because they are nearly 20 years apart. He treated Soo Hyun as if he were his own son. He is caring and wise. He owns a small successful Cafe in Seoul, South Korea.
