Thousands of years ago, a young earth was invaded by hoardes and hoardes of flesh-thirsty demons. They thrived on all the sin that existed and the life that permeated the air. The world, and all of humankind was in danger; they were in danger of becoming into the demons wrath and dissappearing from existance due to their weakness in the hands of the monsters.

However, a young nameless man who could no longer bear to watch his fellow man perish in the clutches of evil managed to get a warlock to summon a powerful archangel. The angel saw the destruction and bloodshed and took pity on the humans. He mixed his own blood inside a cup and gave it to the brave man to drink. He became a whole new creature, half angel, half human and his descendants were the same.

Their sole duty was to protect mankind.

Thus was the birth of the nephilim; Also known as shadowhunters.

now It is thousands of years later and demons still exist in their own world and only occassionally wreak havoc on earth. But their mischief is checked by the nephilim who continue to do their duty. They live in relative coexistance with the downworldes: Fey, vampires, werewolves, warlocks.

The story I am about to tell takes place in Korea.

Lee Mina(You) are a shadowhunter- in -training at the Seoul Institute, currently headed by Suho and his fiance Sunny (both honorable shadowhunters).

Till now things have been relatively peaceful. However, mysterious, unexplainable deaths have been occurring among the downworlders and the peace treaty could easily be broken and unbridled war could break out between downworlders and the shadowhunters.

Is this the work of wayward nephilim or are their darker forces behind the murders?
