Sky-Filled Tears

Description

 

Year 2067: set twenty years after the Earth had befallen, twenty years after all survivors escaped to other outer dimensions.

 

It took time, but eventually they found a new home. Many of them liked it there, and the rest eventually adapted, following the newly-made rules and establishments. They built houses, hotels, and businesses; they manufactured cars and other vehicles; they chemically controlled the growth of other living species. With the use of machinery and technology, they could have created a home which Earth never could have possibly become.  But they all knew that was impossible, for the planet was lacking.
 
 
Reath, the "home" which could have been brought to perfection.
 
However,
 
what the planet lacked
 
 
was rain.
 

Foreword

 

 

This story is centered on the love of a young man in his early twenties, living on the new planet. I chose to use that as the description instead of a cheesy little paragraph talking about his painful love because I felt that giving a backdrop of the planet would help you understand the story better.

I am entering this story in It's the Holiday Season, a writing contest.

I know that I have so many ongoing stories already, but this is only to be a oneshot, so it shouldn't take too long.

Oh, and the holiday I am using? Well, you'll just have to read the story!

PS: This is set in an alternate universe because for some reason, we are all old ladies and gentlemen, while Myungsoo and IU are still young and goodlooking, even 2349384 years from now. Oh dear. 2067.
