Description
A short fic inspired by my Christmas playlist, particularly the song Last Christmas by Wham!
Though my absolute favourite cover of this song was by Jimmy Eat World [one of my top three favourite bands], I chose between the versions of The Maine and Roses are Red since JEW lacked lyrics.
In the end I chose the cover of The Maine.

Prologue
December 23, 2012| 8:00 PM [New York City]
Another year, another round of holidays...
[Sigh]
“Yo Amber! You guys are up.”, Key, a friend of mine called me in.
“Coming.”
I stood up and went back inside.
“Where in the world have you been? We’ve been looking everywhere for you!”, complains Luna.
“Chill dude. I just went outside for a smoke.”
“Augh. Don’t dude me!”
“Sorry MISS Luna.” The rest of the guys snicker at me as I almost got another sermon from our feisty vocalist.
[Sigh] If you weren’t so good in singing and we weren’t so desperate to find a lead vocalist back then I swear I never would’ve have offered you the spot.
“Just go get your guitar and get your on stage pronto.”, Victoria, my good friend who was also the owner of the cafe/underground-music bar I work in said, interrupting my thoughts.
After getting on stage I saw the rest of the guys fixing their sets.
“It’s freezing outside man, how could you even smoke with that weather outside?”, says Daniel our drummer.
“C’mon dude, you know how my cousin hates the holidays.”, our bassist/my own cousin Henry answered for me.
“Hey, I don’t okay, I just...”
“Last Christmas, I gave you my heart...”

Hey guys. This was supposed to be a Christmas present but I keep getting side-tracked. I started making this fic 2 days before Christmas hoping I can finish it by then but the parties got in the way. Lol. And to make things worse my best friends all came home for New Years’ so I ended up going on a road trip to my country’s coldest city. I wrote every time I wasn’t on driving duty and when I generally can, but one of my friends read it without my permission. :\ Not only did she find out about my “secret fanfic-writting”. Lol. She added that she found my story cute. [Sigh] I wasn’t going for cute though. Lol. It only made me think of something different so I tweaked it a bit and changed some parts which only caused further delays. ANYWAY, just think of it as a post-Christmas/New Year’s treat. :DD
