"I said don't go."

I know what he said. I just didn't expect the tone that came together with it. He sounds like he was pleading, almost a tinge of desperation in it. Before I could over-analyze it and possibly ending up deluding myself, like maybe he doesn't want me to go because he is burning with jealousy, I quickly supplied, "What do you mean 'don't go'?" I must have looked astonished myself, as if I couldn't believe what I was hearing because Seung Hyun started stuttering.

"I... I mean.. It's just not..."

Choi Seung Hyun was stuttering. If I had a recording device in my hand, I would have made it a lasting laughing stock and I could have hold it against him. He rarely stutters and the fact that he just did, tells me something- that the fact that my dear mother's efforts in making me to go on a blind date is getting to me and that must have bothered him in a way.

Instead of asking why was he stuttering, I asked, "Why are you looking at me that way?" That was simply because he had that look again on his face. The pleading, puppy-eyed look that gives the impression of as if he was trying to talk me out of going. Well, he didn't. He then started to get all defensive.

"What are you talking about? I'm not giving you any looks. You stuffed too many cakes inside your throat that it's clouding your system," he said nonchalantly and started to organize the magazines on the table. What a pretty mouth he has. Look at the way he talks. Why am I best friends with him?

I wouldn't let him off the hook. I know what I saw. "No, you definitely have that look on your face. What is it? Spill. Is it the blind date?"
