The Untitled

Description

The two meet, different, but so similar.

He needed her out of his way, yet refused to let himself lay a finger on her.

She needed to stop him, but refused to tell him she cared.

He never trusted her, but she never doubted a word he said.

She was crimeless, clean; innocent. He was tainted, sinned, misunderstood.

He has to decide between two women or to destroy himself; she has to decide between three men, or to save herself.

“I have no name.”

“No, every person has a name.”

“I do not. I neither am remembered, nor existent.”

“But I will remember you.”

“…”

“You have a name now; you are JaeJoong, and I…I am your friend Hana.”

~

“Remember my name; I am Jonghyun.”

“I don’t remember unimportant people.”

“Then I must be remembered.”

“No, then you must be forgotten.”

“A stubborn little girl, aren’t you? Do you not know who I am?”

“Oh, I wish I didn’t; then I wouldn’t have to judge you as I judge all the other spoiled, overconfident, rich kids.”

He grabbed her by the collar, staring coldly down into her eyes, and he felt himself freeze as he saw the threat shining in her red tinted pupils.

“Nobody invades my personal space, without my consent.” Hana growled deeply, her breath against his neck.

“Well, that makes this fun, doesn’t it?”A hard glint reached his eyes, and it reflected the little boy isolated from love since young.

He leaned in closer, trapping her between the brick wall and himself. In one swift and obviously well practiced motion, he took her first kiss.

~

Hana leaned back at the brick wall, sliding down to the floor to sit next to the dirty beggar.

“How fun would it be to escape from this all…to go somewhere where nobody hates each other, where war is not in the dictionary, and where you and I could be friends without people turning a cold eye in our direction…” Hana started, pushing an egg bun onto the beggar’s lap.

“You must be hungry…” Hana started, smiling at the beggar and wondering if he understood Korean at all.

The beggar smiled back at Hana, bright white teeth gleaming almost to the point in which it reflected the sun.

Hana furrowed her brow, as if there was something weird going on…why was the beggar’s teeth so…clean…when the rest of him was so…not?

But she had no time to think this out, as the beggar next to her suddenly let out a huge cough, and fell onto her lap coughing his lungs out.

“Oh my gosh! Are you okay?” She asked, desperately patting the beggar’s back, but she didn’t know first aid…

In a matter of milliseconds, many men dressed in professional black tailored suits ran out of a black BMW, separating ways in which half went to pick up the beggar and haul him into the car before speeding away, while the leftover ‘men in black’ handcuffed Hana and threw her into the back of the car.

“What’s-” But her words were cut off as they pasted tape onto .

~

“You’re beautiful,” He said shamelessly, wondering why he felt this sudden attraction.

“And you, handsome,” She replied back, her smile revealing sharpened white teeth,

“But you’re only going to hurt me,” He whispered to himself, remembering how she had slapped Hana.

“I would never hurt you; I would only help eliminate those that would harm you.”

“But Hana never hurt me.”

“She would, and you know she would, but you were too weak to eliminate her yourself.”

“That doesn’t mean you should do it for me.” Jaejoong traced the bite scar on his hand, and made a run for it.

Sorry for the rather vague introduction to the characters... but I was hoping details could be revealed throughout the story!

Oh... and other characters are to be introduced shortly!! And...well, I made up a fictional main character because I'm not too in favour of writing "and he kissed YOU" kinda thing, with the reader as the character, sorry if you were hoping for that :S But I'm hoping that you'll like this story...and I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for grammatical errors :O

Foreword

“To the beauty of the game,” Someone called out to the other, raising his glass and toasting.

HE looked closely up and down the long, rectangular table; these were his brothers; these were his friends; this was family.

It was almost funny how they acted, as if they were normal people, yet it was obvious they made a stark contrast in comparison with society’s norms.

Normal people could be happy, could laugh, could love, and most importantly, could forgive.

How do these people unite? Simple, they held the same purposes, the same goals, and all had the same future ahead of them.

They are brought together by their crave for revenge and set apart in how they are going to go about achieving this.

HE sat back down and suddenly grew silent as the surrounding noise engulfed him, and he blended in with the background, merely a lost soul amongst many mischievous poltergeists. HE slowly traced his hand over the carved design on the table. In his heart, images appeared, some beautiful, some fearful, some sorrowful, and many so horrible, he dared not to summon them into his wounded heart.

“Hey!” Someone called out to him, holding up their glass for toasting.

He bared his teeth, and refused a drink. He has to remain sober, or he’ll forget the pain, and numbing his wounds had not been what he survived on.

He grimaced at the absence of a name, or even a referral. That was it; they were the unknown, the forgotten, the untitled.

To them, life and identity were too far away, whilst hatred was forever a close friend.

~

Hana looked closely at the teddy bear in the shop window and found herself sighing when she glanced once more at the price tag; it was far too expensive.

She tried to tell herself that it was just a little toy used by kidnappers to lure children away from their parents, as her father had used toys to lure her away from her mother, which in turn, made her life even more unbearable. She already hated their arguments, but for him to deceive her like that to gain custody was a whole different matter completely!

“Nice teddy bear, eh?” A little boy, probably around the age of 7, asked, grinning up at her.

“Yeah…” Hana smiled, using her thumb to wipe off the little drool of ice cream trailing onto the chin of the little boy from his melting ice cream.

The little boy laughed as his mom came around the corner with a bunch of napkins, smiling widely to Hana. But somewhere hidden in the little boy’s eyes, a secret was hidden, as his smile didn’t touch his eyes. Hana chose to ignore for a second; she was becoming far too sensitive.

Hana nodded back, grinning, as she wondered why the entire family seemed so…smiley? Perhaps this was a happy family, all smiles and cheerful attitudes?

But horror struck Hana when she saw the bruised arms and legs of the little boy as they walked away, and into the light, out of the alleyway and away from the darkened corner. She remembered her own.

“Boo…” someone whispered into Hana’s ear, startling her and causing her to drop her textbook into the puddle.

“LEE TAEMIN! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?” Hana screamed as her hand drifting to her heart, gasping as her heart fluttered weakly.

“Hana!” Taemin gasped, quickly turning from joking to serious.

“You know I have a weak heart,” Hana pouted bitterly as he led her to a nearby bench.

“Well, excitement is needed in life for someone to live joyfully.” Taemin grinned, resorting to his cheerful personality once he is sure that Hana is fine. “You see, I’m waiting for that one ‘guy’ to come into your life and make your life a little more…interesting…and how I wish I could just get rid of you!” Taemin smiled, looping his arm around Hana’s arm and laughing.

Hana tried to look angry, but couldn’t hold the laughter in, only resorting to joining him laugh.

They were laughing, like kids, like they did when they were younger, like they had for so long, but all was to change.

Little did Hana know, Taemin’s laugh was a façade of all that he knew, for he knew too much, too much.

It is fortunate she noted this laugh, because in coming years, she would never see him laugh this laugh again.

Chapter 4: Awkward, but not quite. It's fun to read their awkward interactions, as I am sort of like "Jaejoong" in real life—weird, expressive but unspoken and rather clueless, but not in pain.
This is all very good. I'm sooo curious about Jaejoong and why he would do all that JUST for a button. Does he have PTSD, according to recent times, or does he genuinely worry of who will be affected upon knowing him? *gasps* Was he an ASSASSIN? That would be SO cool!
Here's my take on it (but there's no certainty I'll be right because this seems rather unusual and hard to predict): Jaejoong's family was killed by other townspeople. I'm guessing it's because they were different? Like, maybe vampires, foreigners, that sort of thing? Or did he do something, like offend a 'boss' or break a law, enough to make people want to kill him and destroy him inside? And maybe he lived through it all, but his family didn't? Is that the reason he doesn't want to trust a single soul? Was he in some kind of hibernation? Woah...
I have so many questions to ask but unfortunately, I cannot get them answered. Oh well, for now, I'll be content with my imagination.

Oh and don't worry about grammatical mistakes. They're a pain to worry about. Just focus on writing first because what's important is getting everything out first before editing everything. If you think something is grammatically wrong, it's okay because some readers will point it out for you or you'll be able to edit it when you've distanced yourself from it. You can worry about that later. If you're the perfectionist type, like myself, then, well... I don't know.
Woo! So much for that. Thank you for sharing this with us! It's really interesting to read... I wish you'll continue it but I don't want to pressure you into anything, especially if you have a lot on your plate right now. So, thanks! Good luck with writing the next few chapters and most importantly, have fun! Thanks again! ^o^
