2012.

 

A year most people assume as the last year on earth. Who knows....

 

 

Maybe it will never happen. Or maybe the moon with a weird face will come crashing down on us by some weird skull kid with a heart shaped mask.

 

 

We only know the answer if we live to see it. To go through December and wait for the shortest day of the year to arrive......

 

 

*I'm a lazy girl~ yeah yeah I'm a lazy girl~*

 

 

" Hhhooooooooeeewaaah!! (That was a groan). "

 

 

It was a quiet cold morning. The sky had enough clouds to see the sun. The breeze was so chilly that it pulled you back into the covers of warmth. And of course, a hibernating cub who had woken up from her 12 hour slumber by the noise of her alarm clock.

 

 

 

" You need to stop. Like now. I can't do this. Nope! I refuse to leave this bed. "

 

 

The cub also know as the girl with blonde bed hair, picked up the tiny cellular device and pressed the snooze button. She snuggled back into her warm covers and drifted slowly back into dream land.

 

 

*I'm a lazy gi—*

 

 

 

The irritated blonde took out the battery of the phone and muttered curses about it disturbing her yet again. She got up with her blanket wrapped tightly around her body and shuffled her feet against the floor to the bathroom.

 

 

It was always like this for Jessica Jung. Waking up from a wonderful slumber to a boring new day. Always the same daily routine. Nothing interesting ever happen. More like nothing that made Jessica feel worth living for. At one point, she didn't even care what was happening to the world. All she knew was that she lives in New York and it happened to be the month of cold.

 

 

 

" What day is it today.....? "

 

 

 

She looked at the calendar and saw that it was December 18. She shrugged it off and prepared herself for her morning class. It only took her a few minutes since she no longer cared about her appearance. She practically looked like was wearing random mixed matched cloths. Some how though, people always complimented on her fashion even though she didn't even try.

 

 

" Where are my keys?!? "

 

 

The fool didn't realize that they were in her pocket thus making her search for thirty minutes for nothing. After finding them, she turned her phone back on and plugged in her ear phones. Walking down the busy streets of New York City in the morning was quite a hassle. Everyone's rushing in one direction and then there's people who randomly pop out of nowhere.

 

 

" I swear I can never see the same faces walking on this streets. "

 

 

She mumbled to herself as she glances at the phone screen.

 

 

' 7:48 am '

 

 

" ! "

 

 

The time on the phone only made the blonde walk slower than usual. Why run to class if you're already late? She took the time to look around and explore like she usually does when she is late. The buildings never looked the same and she admired that. The height, the opening entrance. It all fascinated the blonde. The fact that she had to crack her neck in order to see the top of the building showed the significance of skyscrapers.

 

 

Going further into the streets, she can see dozens of cafes filled with college students like her, sipping their beverages and taking their time as if the world won't possibly end in four days. (if you count today that is)

 

 

 

" Oh yeah.... "

 

 

 

Jessica walked further and pushed away the thought. She didn't care if she was gonna die today or tomorrow. As long as she doesn't have to work she if fine. Lazy, is what her sister told Jessica when she found out that was what her older sister thought of it. Her friends thought the statement was one of Jessica's greatest jokes. And parents considered it as an insult. But in reality, what Jessica said was truly how she felt.

 

 

 

" I can't wait to die. "

" Why is it so cold?!? Ah! The wind! Why?!? "

 

 

A brunette with a pink spring dress and a blue jean jacket with boots was walking in the city of New York by herself. She looked like a typical Cali girl walking to the beach, was what Jessica thought when she saw the pig tailed girl. She smirked at the stupidity of the woman in such a short dress.

 

 

 

Who in the world wears a spring dress with only a jean jacket over in the beginning of winter?

 

 

 

Jessica couldn't help but continue observing the girl from the bench she sat on. It was weird how the brunette girl looked like a living angel walking through the cold wind. Something other than her outfit caught Jessica's eyes was the girl.

 

 

Just as Jessica was nearly taking her eyes off the angel like girl, a presences —more like a person, was already sitting beside her.

 

 

" To think I would get used to this cold weather after living 3 months here! "

 

 

The brunette seemed to not have noticed the blonde grumpy sloth next to her and continued to speak to herself. Little did she know that Jessica was hearing the entire conversation.

 

 

 

" It's so cold! Eee~~ I wished I could be home right now! This cold weather drives me nuts! And it makes my legs super ashy! No man is gonna want a girl who has ashy legs! "

 

 

Jessica couldn't help but laugh as she had glanced at the talkative girl's legs being slightly ashy. A little too loud was the volume of Jessica's laugh. The ashy legged girl turned her head rapidly to the sound and saw a blonde girl staring at her legs. Her cheeks began to turn a light shade of red filled with embarrassment, shock and shame.

 

 

" Next time you shouldn't speak your thoughts aloud when you're next to a stranger. More importantly, you should be aware of your surroundings, Ms. Ashy Legs! Ha ha ha ha! "

 

 

Jessica wheezed in and out from laughing to much. She stopped when she felt a pair of eyes in her.

 

 

" WHY WERE YOU STARING AT MY LEGS IN THE FIRST PLACE?!? "

 

 

 

Jessica stopped at the girl's sudden outburst. She began to panic inside. What was she supposed to tell the girl? That she has been admiring her legs? Checked to see if they are ashy but weren't but she continued to drool over them???

 

 

 

" I wanted to see if they were ashy.... "

 

 

" Well........ "

 

 

The girl was blushing madly and her eyes were looking everywhere but at Jessica. She scratched the back of her neck and grumbled some words. Jessica was normally a good hearer but this girl spoke so low that she had to ask her to repeat what she had said.

 

 

" I said!....... Are my legs ashy.....? "

 

 

Jessica's heart began to beat faster than usual from the view in front if her. The girl was biting the corner of her pulp lips and her squinting a bit as if she was nervous about being a laughing stock.

 

 

" Hey-ah..... So.... Uh.... Person.... Are.... Are they.... Are they that bad...? "

 

 

The brunette was now tapping the silent zoned out Jessica. Hearing nothing from the the other. Becoming more and more paranoid about her legs she began to tap the girl harder.

 

 

Jessica was startled at the trembling like voice and looked up to see the girl with her hand on her shoulders. Eyes worried and gaped open. Jessica smiled widely. So wide that it hurt.

 

 

" Have you heard about the news? "

 

 

" No, what is it? "
