Life was unknowing, my life that is. Not being able to fit in, was common in the world. The pain it holds, only the people that have experienced it were able to understand it; let alone fail in explaining it. In the society I lived in, my brother was even able to fit in and get over it; since he pretty much looked like an ideal clone of them. You would have never guessed he was half Dutch; as for me, having the identical features of my mother. I stood about 5 feet tall, with tiny sized body parts. My hair was a pale blond colour, with pale skin that looked as if; my skin had never entered contact with the sun. My eyes are the only basic relation I had with them; they were very small and mono lidded. I had honey brown orbs, where as my brother had his normal dark brown orbs; which indentified my father.

When I would play with the ‘Koreans’ I’d be teased for being ‘white’; hanging out with the foreigners, I’d be teased for looking ‘Asian.’ Somebody tell me, where exactly did I belong? The irrational thing about this is that I felt ‘non-human.’ During the daylight I would be a fine little camper, avoiding my anti-social placed name; making new friends. Once the sun set, my body would shiver and I’d hear voices calling out my name…telling me to ‘join them’ it was as if some kind of ritual was out there to haunt me. Little did I know, those rituals were family. My family; out there to warn me for what I was about to become. After all, the first change would only happen as soon as I hit the age of 18.

You would be surprised at what things would lead to, in the end…It was impossible to live up to everyone’s expectations.
