The dawn of a new day.
There are many definitions to why the sun rises each day.
For Kim Taeyeon, it's no different.
But she is different.

Because along side a few other girls, she has been called back to the agency in fine day.
What awaits her? 
She is about to find out in a matter of hours.

----Taeyeon's POV----

I opened my drowsy eyes to the sounding of my alarm.
The sky is barely lit and I am suppose to wake up.
I struggled to sit up on my bed to check the time.

Scratching my head, I went ahead to do a final check on the items in my bag.

"Right, that's everything. Time to bathe!" I yawned in a loud and inappropriate way for the girl that I was about to become.

"Unnie!" My sister called out from her room.

"Yah, why aren't you asleep?" I scolded as she wasn't suppose to wake up at this time.

My sister ran towards me and gave me a hug.
I chuckled at the amount of cuteness she had.

"Unnie, all the best for today!" She cheered.

"Thank you." I squeezed her within my arms. "I'm going to bathe now."

Releasing her, I went ahead with my shower.
After a while, I found myself dressed up and ready to go.
As I stepped out of my room, I recalled something.

"Can't forget this!" I took the pink tag that was lying on my table.

I turned my head towards the mirror and cheered myself on. 
"Hustle up Kim Taeyeon! This is your day!"

Upon reaching the company, I stood at the lobby and waited for the lift.
Glancing at the logo, I shook my head and smiled as memorable thoughts ran through my head.

"SM entertainment...I've spent so much time here as a trainee." I sighed to myself. "Finally, it's time."

"Tae...yeon?" A girl spoke with a foreign accent.

"Ah, Tippani!" I greeted. "You don't remember me?"

"Well not really, I haven't seen you around much."

I nodded my head and adjusted my skirt.
She stood there quietly and stared up at the blinking numbers.

"Why are you here anyway?" I asked, breaking the awkward atmosphere.

"Well, this." She handed me a pink tag.

That tag, was exactly the same as mine.
My hand reached into my pocket and pulled out my tag.

"You have one too?" Tiffany exclaimed. "Taeyeon! Are you one of the chosen?"

"Why sure I am!" I grinned.

Tiffany just smiled and nodded.
She must be feeling so shy now as we weren't that close during training days.

The elevator took us up to the training rooms, where we awaited the rest.

"I'm going to read at the corner alright?" Tiffany asked.

"Sure, I will just clear some mess that are lying on the ground now."

As I swept the ground, footsteps echoed through the corridor outside.
They seemed rather brisk.
Is someone running in?

Two tall girls came in hurriedly.
I had no troubles reconising the duo.

"YoonA! Seohyun!"

"Taeyeon unnie!" The two girls jumped around in joy.

"Ah~ You two are chosen as well!!" I skipped towards the two of them happily.

"Yes unnie!" YoonA hugged me tightly. "Aish, you're sweating already."

"I was tidying the some mess!" I pouted at the taller girl.

Tiffany let out a soft chuckle at what she saw in front of her.
Hearing her, I couldn't help but utter a whiny voice.

"Come join us Tippani!" I called out to her.

"Later." Tiffany eye smiled and continued reading.

"Aish, this girl..." I mumbled.

From the same doorway, we heard footsteps.
Sooyoung and Sunny came walking in alongside Jessica.

"Yah! Sunny!" I called out. "Where's the plush you promised me?"

"Oh gosh, I forgot again!" Sunny gasped.

I shook my head and grinned at her.
Sunny bowed her head and apologised for forgetting.

"I'm going to check outside." I informed as I walked to the door.

Outside, I spotted Hyoyeon walking towards me.
While greeting me she headed inside and went to Jessica.
Next came Yuri.
Just as Yuri stepped inside, I heard a commotion.

"Yah, take off your sandals." Jessica spoke.

I turned away from looking for manager oppa to seeing what's happening inside.
There stood Hyoyeon and Jessica, folding their arms.
Yuri took off her sandals and walked inside barefooted.
Realising she got pranked...

"Huh? Ah~ Sica!" Yuri yelled and went over to slap Jessica's shoulder lightly.

I stood by the doorway and started laughing along to the three of them.
When a hand rested on my shoulder, I jumped in shock.
Manager oppa stood behind me laughing.

"Hi there Taeyeon." He smiled warmly.

"Hello oppa!" I greeted loudly, making sure all of them knew he was here.

"Alright, let's get started." He cleared his throat. "Girls, look around. The nine of you, are SNSD!"

We cheered loudly and gathered together in the middle of the training room.
Manager oppa took up a sheet of paper and sat by the table.

"Now I want you all to pair up in twos and threes according to this list."

"Taeyeon and Seohyun."

"Sunny, Sooyoung and Tiffany."

"Yuri and Hyoyeon."

"YoonA and Jessica."

I stood up and approached the maknae.
She looked so nervous all of the sudden.
I sat down quietly beside her and tapped her left shoulder although I was sitting on the right.
She turned her head to the left and saw no one there.
Frowning, she turned back and say my face right in front of her.

"Ahh!! Unnie!" Seohyun wailed and pushed me lightly.

"Why are you looking so nervous?" I asked. 

"You look scary sometimes unnie." She teased and stucked out her tongue playfully.

"Yah..."

Manager oppa interrupted our bonding with some role giving.
He tapped the table to get our attentions.

"Now, as we know, a group needs a leader." He spoke. "Anyone you have in mind?"

"Taeyeon unnie." The rest of the girls said in unison.

"Huh? Me?" 

"Sure, you are oldest after all." Tiffany teased and laughed along with the rest.

"Aish!" I pouted.

Manager oppa decided that I was the leader.
With that, he started our first activity, icebreaking.
