"You'll come back, right? You'll not... leave me here alone, right?" He whispered the last part of his sentence, unable to imagine the reality of their situation.
"I would never do that. But I don't know how this works. Will you wait for me?”

Her heart ached for him as she looked into his eyes, filled with fear of the unknown. He looked so much like a lost little boy. He stared back at her, the woman who gave him so much hope and love. The woman whom he needed to protect. His woman.
