Chapter 1

Devil’s Deal was known as the best casino in Korea. It was run by the Jung family. Their casino has been standing for several generations already as it continues to stand strong. Despite it being a casino where children we not allowed to run around in, there was another section within the casino where children, who are underage, gets to play in without the parents worry for them. Outside the casino, they had their own mini bar, a pool, and a Jacuzzi where people would relax outside. Inside the building on basement level was where all certain of activities or shows being held each day. One day would be a “gentlemen’s club”, another day would be a concert, or a rave party. Every day would always be different in the basement. The next floor up the main floor is another gambling floor, mostly slot machines. Third floor was where the children play. Fourth floor was where the variety of restaurants was held. Fifth floor to seventeenth floor were the hotel rooms.

Although, the seventeenth floor is VIP only floor. Anyone with a key for the elevator was allowed to access that floor, and that key mostly belongs to the daughter of the Jung Family, Jessica Jung and Krystal Jung, and a few employees. The seventeenth floor consists of a private mini bar, few private rooms, game room, and a Jacuzzi. The eighteenth floor was where the head boss currently resides. Only the Jung daughter and the boss himself were only allowed access floor. Everyone else had to ask permission in order to enter casually. But even so, not many really dare enter the eighteenth floor was they fear the boss. Most employees that were accepted were that they either had connection with the Jung family. Or they had to get interviewed by the Jung sisters which was worse. With their appeals males and females can’t help but gawk at the Jung sisters’ figure as their mind goes blank. And knowing Krystal being the strict type many always get rejected if they can’t take their interview seriously. Jessica on the other hand was rather relaxed and tends to tease the people that apply. Oh, they great hell they had to go through in trying not to stutter or stare at the lovely Jung sister too much.

But little did they know, the Jung families were not human. Well actually, they were half human. And the other half they were demon. Their father was sent back on earth by Satan himself for he was to wreak havoc with the rest other of other demons and fight against the angel from stopping them. And on the way of Father Jung wreaking havoc, he feel in love for a mortal as the mother bore Jessica and Krystal, although they were born as half human and half demon. Their aging stop by the time they reach twenty one as their life span was infinite.

Demon could not be killed by a mortal and their weapons. However, if it was an angelic weapon they can be easily killed by them and vice versa. Although, that only applies to pure blooded demons, if it was halfblooded they are easily vulnerable to mortal weapons and angelic or demonic weapons. Half-blood may have immortality life and unnatural abilities, but they can be easily killed like a mortal. To tell if someone was a demon or an angel, they would have a crest somewhere on their body that resemble the family crest, although it can easily be mistaken as a tattoo. Demon and angel cannot distinguish each other from demon or angel because all walked about like any ordinary human as they have to go by their six senses since they both can hide their presences easily from anyone. But once they exposed a certain amount of power they can be easily found out within a certain distance.

In a world of mortal they always had to proceed with caution no matter where they go.

Devils’ Deal starts to get crowded at this time of evening. Jessica fixed her image in the mirror before she headed down the main floor. As she enters the main floor not many people would recognize who she was, except for the employees, as they would just easily mistaken her as a dealer due to the way she was dressed. But, a few would know and immediately recognize Jessica Jung. She plays as the deal for her father casino for fun. But she was rather almost unstoppable with her lucky hand when she plays certain card games. Everyone who knew about Jessica would automatically back away from her, fearing that they would lose all their money less than a second. Although, Jessica never played for the money as she played it for fun or another price in exchanged for money, possibly their servitude or something else that could intrigue her.

Jessica walked up to an empty poker table as the certain blond female dealer was shuffling her cards. “Why so empty here, Tae?” Jessica said in a teasing voice, with a sly smirk formed on her lips, to the blond dealer as she sat down on one of the chairs with her chip resting on the palm of her hand.

“I just got here.” Taeyeon retorted with her tongue stuck out at Jessica. “And you are scaring my customer away for your information.” Taeyeon is similar to Jessica’s familiar. She is in fact a demon as well that was summoned by Jessica’s father to watched over Jessica. Taeyeon fell heads over heals for Jessica after several years they had been together, but she was only seen as a close friend to Jessica and nothing more than that. Despite the fact they have done many things together like drinking, gambling, and having with each other. Jessica could only see Taeyeon more as a close friend to her.  Taeyeon was rather depressed that she couldn’t be more than just a close friend, but she respected Jessica’s decision. As long she could be close to Jessica that all that matters to her.

“Oh?” Jessica slowly raised her head up from her palm with a brow slowly quirked up. “Then should I leave?” She said in a pouting and disappointed tone of voice.

Taeyeon saw the looks in Jessica’s eyes as she could not help but fall for them. “N-no! Of course you can stay!” Her cheeks became slightly tinted pink when Jessica gave a sly smile.

 “You’re the best, Tae ~ !” Jessica leaned over the table and gave Taeyeon a light peck on the cheeks which only made Taeyeon’s face flushed red from the contact and froze on the spot with her eyes wide. Jessica couldn’t help but giggle at the sight as she just wanted to tease that byuntae more, but she held back. “So let the game begin.” With that said, she set about 4 grand worth of chips on the table.

Taeyeon quickly snapped out of her shocked state when she heard the sound of chips being set on the table. She gave an awkward cough and adjusted the tie on the neck before giving a smirk. “Very well then,” She followed suit and also set down 4 grand on the table, “Shall the game begin, between the two of us.” Taeyeon said with a sly smirk forming on her lips.

Several games had passed as Jessica was in the lead with already forty grand of chips, while Taeyeon had ten grand. Apparently today wasn’t just Taeyeon’s luck. Either that Jessica’s luck was still lucky as usual.

“Give up yet, Tae?” Jessica asked in amusement as she rest head back against the chair with her arms and legs crossed. She had a smirk of victory all over her face while Taeyeon was in pure frustration that she could just table flip already, literally.

Taeyeon gave a glare at Jessica, with her smudged expression it didn’t help Taeyeon calmed down. As much cool and collective Taeyeon is, but when it comes to Jessica and her winning smile, she can’t help but loose her cool and allow her emotions get the best of her. “Pssh, I’m not –“ Taeyeon suddenly lost her voice when she saw someone behind Jessica.

Jessica’s smile fades as she gave a quizzical expression with a brow quirked. “Not what?” She asked, hoping that Taeyeon answered. She was curious why Taeyeon suddenly stop in her midsentence. Until she realized why when a soft voice that was music to Jessica’s eared called out.

“Umm... Excuse me?”

Jessica immediately turned her head around to the voice as she could have sworn her lost her voice as well just like Taeyeon. The person that stood behind Jessica was rather dazzling even though the red dress didn’t show much of the female’s leg, for appeal, it definitely showed the female’s curves. She was a brunette just like Jessica. And dang, the unknown female’s facial feature was just as beautiful as her body figure. To other, Jessica and Taeyeon are as exaggerating, but within in their mind they weren’t. This unknown female was the most innocent and alluring person they have met so far, not that the other females were ugly or anything, no! They just didn’t catch much attention as this unknown person did.

The unknown female tilted her head with a quizzical expression when she saw Jessica’s and Taeyeon’s expression as they also didn’t gave a reply. “Eer... Excuse me? Can I join?” She asked in a softer voice worried what they might reject her.

The voice snapped both Jessica’s and Taeyeon’s state as Jessica cleared . “Of course, we do not mind at all. Sit down please.” Jessica motions her hand for the female to sit next to her. The female have a soft smile and nodded sat on the right side of Jessica. “What’s your name, hm?” Jessica questioned the female with sweet smile on her face, “I don’t recognize your face like most people I usually here.”

The female hesitated for a bit as her cheek became a light tint of pink. Both Jessica and Taeyeon found it rather adorable how the female acted. She acted almost like a child and Jessica thought Taeyeon was just like a child because of her silliness. There was five second quietness before the female replied, “Umm… My name is Tiffany Hwang.”

“It’s nice to meet you Tiffany-ssi. The name is Jessica Jung and this dealer here is Kim Taeyeon.” Jessica retorted with her thumb pointed at Taeyeon when she introduced her.

Taeyeon then quickly added, “That Jessica there is the daughter’s boss of Devils’ Dealer.” She emphasizes the word “that” which gave Taeyeon a death glare from Jessica, causing her to shiver when she saw that death galre. Jessica quickly turned back to face Tiffany with a soft expression compare the one she gave Taeyeon just earlier.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Jessica-ssi and Taeyeon-ssi.” The female named, Tiffany, greeted with a polite bow. The other two looked at her before bursting into laughter in Tiffany’s formality. Tiffany looked at them with a quizzical expression when they suddenly started laughing as she wonders why they started to laugh. “Ummm…?”

 “No need to be so polite there, relax. There’s no need for formality.” Jessica said between her laughs.

Tiffany face only grew redder by the second, “Oh no! I must since you’re the daughter’s boss. So formality is needed.”

“Relax I said.” Jessica said giving Tiffany a slight pat on the back. “There’s no need for such here. So allow me to call you just Tiffany then as you’ll just call me Jessica –“

“And call me Taeyeon!” Taeyeon quickly added in.

Jessica gave a look at Taeyeon as if she was telling her to back off before she turned back to Tiffany again, “Is that alright with you?” She asked with a hopeful smile on her face.

Tiffany hesitated for a moment, but once she saw Jessica’s expression she couldn’t help but nod in agreement. Which cause Jessica's smile more wide and cheerful, “Great! So let’s play shall we?”
