Reflection

Description

You always enjoyed nature walks in the early morning. But there was something very different this time around. As you walk through the forest you notice a flickering light beyond the trees. It was almost as if someone was reflecting something to gain your attention. What could it possibly be?

Foreword

Ugh first one and I think it turned out .. okay? XD Holy crap. I write way too much. Sorry. Er.

Based on Gongchan's Teaser video of B1A4's new "In The Wind" Album. So please do check it out before hand~

The teaser seems a lot darker but I kind of "brightened" it up a bit? I dunno.

Enjoy!

----------------------------------

The morning sun’s rays began to envelope the forest grounds with a friendly warmth. The treetops above began to give off a golden hue as the foliage danced brightly with the slight breeze. You found yourself in awe as you walked slowly through the forest grounds. The slight crackling of leaves underneath your shoes made you smile. Taking nature walks were always fun for you. The beautiful scenery in the morning was one of the things you looked forward to the most every morning.

As you walked past a group of trees you noticed that a glittering light flicker in the distance beyond the trees. You cocked your head in confusion. What could that be? You slowly worked your way around the groups of trees and found yourself in a small open field with tall grass. But that wasn’t all. There was a large greenhouse in the middle of all the grass. As you walked around the perimeter of the greenhouse, you found a few pebbles in the grass and threw them  into the open doors to see if anything would come out. After hearing a few thumps of the rocks hitting the wooden floors, you heard nothing. Looking at the greenhouse you realized it had been here for a while. Nature had already embraced it with plant life that had grown throughout the years. The light green vines and leaves climbed through the window cracks and covered the dusty glass on the sides. As you continued to stare at the house you felt a breeze pick up and push on your back. You looked back at the open doors and shivered as if it was the aura of the greenhouse was the one pulling you inside. You carefully maneuvered your way around the tall grass of the field and slowly went up the few steps to the door. Even if it was incredibly old it was still very beautiful inside as it was outside. The tables inside the greenhouse were covered with leaves and vines. You walked through the rows of tables and looked up.

You noticed there were small mirrors in the shapes of diamonds that hung from the ceiling as well as vines that dangled on the tables and all the way to the floors. from the cracks of the rooftop above. Few streams of light shone down and caused some reflections to bounce off the mirrors.

So, this is what was flickering the light. You thought to yourself. You reached up to one of the mirrors when you suddenly heard footsteps behind you.

You turned around quickly to see a young man with a black knit turtleneck embellished with small jewels that ran down the neck of his turtleneck to his shoulders and chest. He wore white pants and fingerless gloves and had black hair.
You both stood in silence until he slowly walked towards you.

“What brings you here to my greenhouse?” He asked, with a small smile.

You looked at him wide eyed, unsure of what to do. Surprisingly, you mustered up the courage and talked as quickly as you could,“Oh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t know this greenhouse was still being used! I thought it was abandoned and I just wanted to take a look around because it looked so pretty and I just thought it was okay to stop by because I am on a walk and I couldn’t help but notice and I guess I should go now because this is your place and I feel very rude for intruding! Good Bye!” You quickly ran out of the greenhouse and didn’t look back.

The boy blinked quickly, still trying to comprehend what had just happened. He chuckled lightly as he pictured your face when you explained the situation and remembered the light pink tinge that covered your cheeks. He looked back at the entrance of the greenhouse and let out a small sigh. If only he had stopped you before you ran out. He hoped he would get to see you again.

--------------------------

It was another bright morning and you began to walk to the entrance of the forest gates like you had always done. On a spur of the moment, you started running as fast as you could through the forest into the pathway where you had first discovered the greenhouse.
The reason why you wanted to go back to the greenhouse was that boy. You instantly regretted running away from him that one time and you just thinking about it made you want to actually facepalm.

But there was something about him that was, as corny as it sounds, enchanting. The way he dressed was definitely strange but his face held such a kind expression that it made you want to know more about him. In the last few days, you had visited the greenhouse every morning but he was nowhere to be found. You left dejected before but today seemed different and as you ran through the trees that held that same familiar flickering light of the mirrors, you couldn’t help but feel like today was the day you would get to see him again.

As you began to catch your breath while wrestling out from the trees, you slowly walked up the stairs to the greenhouse and looked in. And just as you had predicted, there he was.
He was sitting on top of one of the many tables with his right arm resting on his knee.. You looked to his hand and noticed he was fiddling with a few long vines that had descended from the ceiling.
As if finally realizing your existence, he turned to you and his eyes widened. He jumped down from the table and walked towards you with a bright expression.
“So, we meet again.” He smiled cheerfully.
You stared at him. It was the first time you had seen him with such a childlike smile that it made your heart pang. It seemed like he was waiting for you to come for such a long time. You couldn’t help but grin widely at finally getting to see him again.
“Yes! I’m so sorry about barging in here before but I just had to see this place again.”
You noticed that his expression fell slightly, almost as if he was disappointed. Did I say something wrong? You thought to yourself.

He leaned forward and cocked his to one side.  “You only came back to see the greenhouse?” He asked, curiously. His expression turned into a sly smile and he chuckled when he saw your face turn pink like the day he had first met you.

“No... I came back to see you too.” You said quietly while looking down at your shoes.
He smiled at your honesty and realized you were all the more cuter.
He stepped closer to you and you suddenly felt something being removed from your hair.
You jolted slightly but felt his hand rest on your shoulder.

“Don’t worry. I’m just removing some leaves that are caught in your hair.”

You sighed. When you were running through the trees you must have dragged most of the leaves with you. His fingers lifted your chin slightly and you realized how close he was to you. He reached to a small leaf behind your ear and gently took it out with ease.

“There you go!” He said, happily.

“Thanks...” You murmured. You barely knew him and he already sent your heart pounding.
He walked back to the table before and sat on top, his feet dangling off the edge. He gestured for you to sit on the table in front of him.

“What’s your name?” You asked as you jumped up onto the table.

“Gong Chan Shik. And yours?”

You replied with your name.

“Well, it’s very nice to meet you again.” Gongchan said as he held out his hand.

You leaned forward and shook his hand. It was quick but you felt a small spark of electricity jolt you. You wondered if he had felt the same thing.
As he pulled back his hand he saw you look around the greenhouse again and he began to look down at his gloveless hand. Even with gloves and just the fingertips being bare, he felt a small jolt of electricity hit him. It made his heart race as he glanced in your direction.

You jumped from your table and wandered around. You moved around the long vines and looked through the dusty windows.

“This must be your secret base, right?” You asked with a big grin.

“My secret base?” Gongchan repeated with a laugh.

“Yeah! It seems like a great place to relax and think."

Gongchan looked around to the dirty tables, the molding corners of the room and the vines that fell through the roof top and covered the old pipelines.

“I guess you could say that. It’s my favorite place to go. The quiet and eerie serenity is what draws me into it. But I think my favorite thing about this place is when the light show starts." He smiled.

"The light show?"

Gongchan grinned as he showed you a tree branch and poked some of the mirrors to dance with the light. Reflections began to bounce all around the room. You smiled as you looked back out to the entrance and saw the bright light hit the trees that you first came out of.

You sat up on the table next to Gongchan. “It’s almost like the lights brought me here to see you.”
Gongchan looked back at you and noticed that the stream of light coming from above was shining against your hair. Your hair was a dark brown but with the light it gave off a bright orange shine. His heart skipped a beat.

“What do you mean?” He asked with a warm smile.

“I found this place from the reflection of the mirrors.” You said happily.

“The idea of the mirrors was to reflect light around the room and make it seem even more brighter. Maybe it was one of the mirror’s idea to stop right in front of those trees to invite you here.” He chuckled lightly.

“I’m glad you set up these mirrors.” You admitted.

“Maybe it was fate.” Gongchan whispered near your ear.

“Yah. That’s just too corny!” You said, poking him in the arm.

“Ehhh! You’re blushing again! How cute!” Gongchan laughed as he started to tease you.

As you two both continued to tease each other, the lights carried on dancing around the greenhouse with as much excitement as usual.
