Kris sat in the back corner next to the window with Tao to the left him. A girl sitting in front of Kris passed him a note. He threw it to Tao, and he accepted it with pride. He wrote on the note and handed it to the girl. She got up and threw it away.

His next two classes went by quickly, and it was finally time for lunch. Tao and Kris did not have the same lunch times. Kris sat outside under shady tree by himself. People whispered and pointed at him wondering why he sits there everyday alone. The whole school knew who he was, but Kris did not seem to care much. He was known for being the mysterious, handsome guy with good looks. Kris didn't like being known as that. In fact, he didn't like how everyone knew him.

It was the last class of the day. Period 8. Math. It was not Kris's best subject.
