It’s been 3 months …

You gaze outside your window, the sight of orange autumn leaves withering one by one, blown away by the wind gives you a slight chill.

Here you are in your new apartment in the middle of metropolitan area, New York, you’ve decided to pursue a better education in the states. You transferred here from Seoul around the end of summer on August.

Autumn….

Usually it’s the season where you see couples holding hand in the streets, taking a walk under the orange canopy from the orange colored tree leaves. Ride on bicycles, go for a little trip to Nami island? You scoffed at the thought.

Yet it’s also the perfect season for one to feel sentimental

Each day it grows more and more, you try not to be engulfed too much in the feeling but it’s starting to grow on you.

You miss him

At times when you walk alone outside in the streets, let’s say to do grocery shopping. When the cold chilly wind blows, you might see two people walking together so closely to prevent each other from feeling cold. Or even a woman waits for her man to buy some hot chocolate for her.

You miss him.

Due to the time difference, he’s obviously asleep at this hour. Or not if he’s still at work.

At the first few weeks, the time difference drives you crazy. It’s literally like a song by Simple Plan called Jetlag…

“you say good morning when it’s midnight”

You two still texted non-stop but sometimes he’s awfully busy with his schedules, but when he’s not, it’s the time difference that keeps you away from each other.

Don’t even bother about skype-ing, you did video call him once a week, once every now and then. Now that SHINee’s made a comeback…contacting him becomes less frequent and harder.

He seemed a bit distant from you now but you believe not at heart

You miss his text, just a simple ‘Good morning’

You miss him nagging at you

You miss him reminding you to wear warmer clothes and not to catch a cold

You miss him telling you about his day at work

You miss him nagging at you to take your vitamins and eat properly 3 times a day

You miss waking up to his voice

You miss his nonstop babbles at night even though it’s late

You miss his crappy annoying aegyo that makes you cover your ears

You miss his shrieks when you tickle him

You miss him teasing you or vise-versa

You miss when he blush at times after saying corny things to you

You miss his random surprises by cooking you something

You miss the sight when he pouts

You miss his husky voice

You miss his sweet serenade to you

You miss his bright smile

You miss his lingering scent

You miss his embrace

You miss the comfort of his shoulder

You miss the warmth from his hands when your hands entwined

You miss his enchanting stare

You even miss his glares at you

You miss when his soft lips touched yours…that intoxicating feeling

You simply miss his presence

You miss him

***Key’s POV***

“Kibum, wake up! Yah! Wake up!” That keroro woke me up, urgh.

“It’s almost 7, we’re leaving to the airport at 8, now get up!” he pulled my cover, I huddle from the lost warmth contact. I grunted, and sat up. I fumble my bed to look for my phone and iPad.

“Sleeping with your iPad again? You’ve been sleeping with your iPad a lot now, not healthy Kibum. Is that thing your girlfriend or something?” I turned my head towards him as he mentioned that sensitive topic.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to. You’d better get ready soon.” Minho looked kinda apologizing and he left me in my sanctuary.

The first thing I check on my phone was not how much time do I have left to get ready before manager hyung arrives but to see if __________ left any messages while I was asleep.

She’s been away for nearly 3 months now. Time flies so fast huh?

I hope time flies so fast that I wouldn’t have to wait long until she comes back to me.

I still feel pained at the thought of her not beside me.

I still remember the moment when she told me that she got accepted for a student transfer. I was extremely happy and sad for her. I know I shouldn’t be selfish, I know this is my turn to wait for her like she always waits for me to return from overseas. But this is waaaaay longer than that. Does she have any idea how much alcohol I consumed on the day she left? Oh, she’s going to kill me if she finds out.

I miss her a lot

I miss texting her ‘Good Morning’ every day

I miss waking up next to her at times

I miss nagging at her

I miss her snapping back or retorting back at me

I miss reminding her to eat properly

I miss how she reply the same thing back at me

I miss telling her how my day goes on and how she would always be there to listen

 I miss her cute response when I do aegyo to her

I miss how she rolled her eyes at my retarded comments

I miss her tickling me to death

I miss making her blush now and then

I miss her waiting for me to finish my schedules

I miss cooking for her

I miss teasing her and vise-versa

I miss her laughs

I miss her sweet smile

I miss her eyes that always look at me attentively yet honest

I miss how she avert my stares (she finds it too much to handle keke)

I miss her scent

I miss cuddling with her

I miss holding her boney hands

I miss how she snuggles onto my embrace

I miss how she would just be there, hold me tight without saying a word and it would made me feel better when I’m down

I miss kissing her beautiful red lips, how soft they feel against mine.

I simply miss her presence
