Melancholy swimming in her eyes, a single tear fell into the pure white snow that blanketed the brown earth. It remained a small droplet of water in the snow before giving in to the cold and freezing to become snow. Not a dent in sight, it seemed as though the snow hade never been touched. Her heart did not have the same luxury.

There was a stab in her heart, caused by the sleeping young man in front of her eyes. Blowing a final kiss, she leapt off into the navy night sky, never to set her eyes on her lover agin. Seconds after her departure, the heavens let loose and snow whirled down relentlessly, covering her tracks.
