Description
I came back to Korea to look for the one I truly loved- That's what daddy said before he died. I've been mute for 3 years already and no matter what I try to do, my voice won't just come out. And to make it worse, I couldn't remember a thing at all. Who am I? And who is this boy who I used to love? That's it! I'm going to find him and look for the truth about myself!
Jin Hyeju – A mute girl, she lost her voice a few years ago due to an accident she couldn’t remember. In fact, she couldn’t even remember a thing. Her parents sent her to the States, to undergo a new life. She moved back to Korea to look for her last love—A bit of information she found out from her recently passed away father when he was in his last days of life.
Lu Han – The lead vocalist and dancer of EXO-M. He had just debuted earlier this year along with 11 other boys. Somehow, Hyeju reminded him of his past, his own Hyeju who disappeared some years ago. After they met each other, Luhan was extremely sure that she is the one—but why is she ignoring him as he’s a stranger and why isn’t she talking at all?
EXO – Consists of 12 young boys who captured girls’ hearts upon their debut earlier this year. They are total professionals on stage but completely a bunch of trolls behind the curtain.
Foreword
I rubbed my shoulders. My whole body is aching, all sore up. In the night sky, I slowly made my way home, where the members were probably in deep sleep. I looked at my phone. 12.30 am?! Time sure flies fast. It felt just a few minutes ago where our trainer dragged me for an extra round of workouts. And it’s all because I laughed at his new haircut. He deserves it though; he looked completely like a monkey. I let out a small laugh, suddenly recalling on his “upgraded” look.
“Stay still!”
I stopped my tracks and looked around. There was no one behind me. I felt cold sweat running behind my neck. I shrugged the scary thoughts away and continued my steps when—
“Stop the act girl! You don’t want to attract people!”
My eyes widened. Again, I looked around. My eyes glued at a long, dark alleys in between of the tall buildings. There was only a little logic possible. Someone is in trouble. And that someone must be a fool to actually listen to the man’s words. I tried to calm myself. Should I barge in and help that girl? But what if I get into troubles? That would cause me months away from the stage. I battled with myself when I suddenly heard struggling noises. Gradually the sobs turned louder. I dragged my feet closer to the dark alley. Gosh, these stupid legs. Now, I wouldn’t be able to back off anymore.
I always hated dark alleys. They’re stinks and dirty and scary. The eerie situation is just not to my likings. Anyway—here goes nothing;
“What do you think you’re doing, mister?!”
The man looked at me. He was shocked and looked at the pitiful girl in a disgusting manner. His hands roamed inside her shirt, her hair was in mess and she looked—scared. Her tears had casually puffed her eye bags. The girl pushed him aside and tried running away. The man caught her legs and stumbled on her.
“Young man, you better not get involved.” He warned. The smirk on his face was hideous. I could see the girl struggling under his wrath. And yet, she has not made any noise. Does she not want someone to rescue her? I couldn’t stand it any longer and landed a fist on the man’s face. The man jerked up. He fell into the heap of boxes. I could feel my fist reddened and it hurt so much.
The girl hurried off and ran away. I looked at her and felt something hard on my head. My head spun and my vision started to fade away. I rubbed the back of my head and saw blood. Did they come from my head? I checked my head again and the blood increased. Then, I out.
‘Oh my, Kim Jongin... what have you got yourself into?’
