Final

"Sakura Girl" Yamaa Tomohisa

Yamapi brought Sakura back to her apartment and even offered to send her up.

"You dont have to," said a flustered Sakura, who was still processing the fact that Yamapi and her had just come back from their first date, day out.

Yamapi smiled. "I wouldn't mind. I'd like to in fact," he said, causing butterflies to erupt within her stomach. "Well...um, maybe you shouldn't. Its really late. You need to head home soon." Sakura mumbled looking out into the darkened Tokyo sky. The sky was pitch black, but with the lamp posts and neon lights shining everything was brighter.

Yamapi sighed and nodded. "All right, if that's what Sakura-chan wants." Yamapi leaned forward and planted a light kiss on her forehead. It was unexpected! Sakura's face coloured bright as a stop light. "Good night Sakura-chan." he winked and walked out of the lobby. "G-good night, uh, Tomo-no... Yamaa-san!" Sakura yelled after him. She sighed seeing his figure disappear. She pressed the elevator button, "Fail."

Reaching her floor she stepped out with a skip, feelings of doubt clouding her eyes. "We're not even a couple...are we? No...but there's a chance..." she mumbled quietly fishing out her keys from her purse.

Though her mixed feelings lingered she couldn't help but smile to herself.

"oh~ do you have to go?"
Sakura heard voices from around the corner of the hallway, where she was heading.

A male chuckled. "Ne. But I'll call you later."
"*giggle* hai, Jin san."

Not one to want to disturb, Sakura cautiously tiptoed to the corner and peeked-just enough to see a couple hugging at one's apartment door.

Sakura blushed feeling like she was an intruder in their intimate moment.

She looked again.

Then quickly pulled back, putting a hand over in shock. Dropping her keys too.

The girl was her neighbour. And not just anyone either, it was her best friend, Yamaa's girlfriend Hisako.

'Oh no! Dont tell me...Hisako-chan?'

Sakura, too deep in her mind's rambling, failed to notice the male in question round the corner.
He stop just short of bumping into her, his eyes examining her curiously, then landing on the forgotten keys by her feet.
He picked them up. "Excuse me, did you drop these?" he asked smoothly, snapping her to attention. Sakura was startled and stared at the man in front of her.
He had long hair that just barely reached his shoulders, wispy bangs that fell over his chestnut eyes and a dark fedora over his head.
"You dropped your keys?" he repeated. Numbly, Sakura nodded and the man, Jin was it, surrendered her keys. He gave her a nod. "Have a good night, miss."
"H-hai...arigato gozaimasu."

Sakura slowly stepped around the corner to her apartment. She pursed her lips, she had to pass Hisako's apartment to get to hers. And her door was ajar.
As much as Sakura just wanted to leave and go to bed, she knew better than to leave this unattended to. She crept up to the door and knocked. "H-Hisako chan?" "Hmm? Sakura kun?" Sakura gazed inside and found Hisako straight ahead, in her living room. Hisako paused and beamed at Sakura. "Sakura! Come in, in!" she ushered happily. Hesitantly, Sakura stepped inside.
It was really warm, and hints of alcohol drifted in the air. Hisako resumed clearing up the living room table. Bottles, plates and glasses littered the top. Hisako grinned at Sakura before heading to the ajointed kitchen. "What can I do for you?" she giggled. Sakura frowned looking at the empty bottles of sake. Hisako must've drank a lot. "Uh, I was just going to say that your door was left open."
Hisako came back with soapy hands. "Oh! Now that would have been bad~ thanks!" she sang. Sakura sighed, she was definitely drunk. "Hisako chan, you shouldn't drink so much." Hisako pouted and fell back onto the couch. "No, no. I didn't drink all of it, Jinnie and I shared<3" she insisted.
Sakura froze. Hisako kept going. "Jinnie is soo handsome! He has appeal for days. Oh, and he's real party animal, you can't tell though with that hat on his head. It makes him so mysterious." she giggled. "I think I love him already~"

"Hisako, where did you...meet him exactly?" "At a party BoA brought me to...2 days ago? What can I say, we hit it off right away!" she said with a silly smile. Sakura was at a loss for words. She barely listened as Hisako began talking nonesense to the ceiling.
"You know, Tomo chan is really sweet, but Jinnie is more my type~ I have to let him go...!"
Sakura perked up and went to Hisako's side but found her passed out. Sakura sighed at her best friend. Sakura took Hisako by the shoulders and laid her down. She took a blanket from the closet to cover her up. She went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, some painkiller from the cupboard and put it on the table beside the couch. Sakura knew Hisako well enough that she went through nights like this many times. Sakura opened a window just a tad to air out the apartment.
She looked back at Hisako and sighed, taking her house key. "This is too much, Hisako chan." Sakura locked the door from the outside and slipped the key underneath the door.

Sakura stood in front of Hisako's door, contemplating whether or not to knock. All night she had been thinking about her heart that ached when Hisako mention Yamapi.
'Did she really mean it? Is she willing to let him go?' Sighing, Sakura rapped the door with her knuckles. Slowly after, the door opened and a fresh Hisako opened the door. "Sakura kun, ohayo." she smiled and let her in.
"Are you okay?" Sakura asked as Hisako poured some tea. Hisako nodded. "I had bit of a hangover but thanks to you, I'm good." she smiled appreciatively. Sakura gave her a questioning look. Usually when she drank she never remembered the night before. "Like I told you, I didn't drink that much." Hisako smiled lightly and looked at her tea. "And I was serious about Tomo chan-"

*DING*

Hisako got up to answer her door. Sakura stood rooted to the chair. She was hanging off Hisako's words. Sakura tuned in as Hisako opened the door. "Tomo chan," Hisako said. Sakura gripped the cup tightly in her hand.
"Hisako chan." it was silent for a moment before Yamapi spoke. "Do you-" Hisako held up a hand. "I have something to say to you. We need to talk." "Okay..."

Sakura dared not to breath, it was surreal for her to listen in the conversation. And it seemed like the atmosphere became tense.
"Honestly," Hisako sighed. "I want to break up." silence ensued. "I think its for the best. I've...been seeing someone else recently." Sakura couldn't see, but she could hear the smile in Hisako's voice. "Jin, he really makes me happy. It was like we were made for each other." Hisako sighed. "Its not like I wasn't happy with you. But, this feeling I get when I'm with him...its amazing. I could die right now and be content."

Hisako breathed in. "You don't deserve a person like me." Sakura gasped. "Because I cheated on you. I am a bad person that doesn't appreciate you." she admitted. "Sakura chan, come here please."
Sakura's eyes almost bulged out from their sockets. "Come please," taking short, quick steps she made it to the door. She stood beside Hisako, but didn't look at either of them. "This girl, really loves you." Sakura gaped at Hisako. 'How did she know?!' Hisako glanced at Sakura and put and arm around her shoulder. "Please, take care of her." Hisako smiled a genuine smile at Sakura who only had a surprised looked on her face. Hisako's eyes were becoming glassy. "You guys will make each other happy." she pushed Sakura out the door and into Yamapi's arms and shut the door after her. "I'm sorry, Tomo chan." she mumbled from the other side. Yamapi stared at the door and Sakura couldn't help but feel bad. 'He still cares for her,'
"...You really are a bad person," Yamapi muttered. "You didn't let me speak and now you're making yourself cry in there. It makes me worry." Hisako let out a shaky laugh and sniffed. "I'm not!" she denied, sobbing silently and wiping the falling tears.

Sakura tried to move away from Yamapi, but he held her close by wrapping an arm around her. He looked down at her with a smile and warm eyes, a look he had never given her before. It made her heart flutter and butterflies erupt within her stomach. "Thank you, Hisako. I wish you the best with Jin."
Yamapi caressed Sakura's cheek gently. Sakura's cheeks flushed in embarrassment with being so close to him. "I will take care of Sakura with all my heart," he paused to move her bangs behind her ear. "If she wants me to, that is."

"You're so cheesy, you know." Sakura said while gazing at her feet. Yamapi chuckled. "I couldn't help it. It was the atmosphere!"
The two were outside the apartment complex, sitting on benches facing the gardens. An older neighbor caught them in an embrace and teased them for such an affectionate display in public. So they came down here.
Yamapi held Sakura's hand. "You know, I really will take care of you." he said seriously. Sakura nodded, squeezing his hand. "I know. But are you sure its okay? I mean...its so sudden." she breathed. "I don't want to rush into anything." Yamapi smiled and nodded. "We'll take it slow. But just so you know, you always had a special place in my heart." Yamapi put and arm around her shoulder to bring her closer to his chest.

Sakura blinked her eyes and gave him a big smile. "So cheesy!"
She lightly punched his arm, but returned the hug. "And I've always loved you."
