CHAPTER 36
Lost Love
It’s been a week since Kyunghun’s visit and Byunnie has been absent all this while. When I asked the guys they said that he is busy with some family stuff and so he took leave for two weeks. All his works were being taken to him by the guys. Since Byunnie’s disappearance, the guys have been tense and keeps talking among themselves. I just hope nothing bad happened to him. I wished I didn’t return the diary. Did he start to remember stuff?
The girls made a decision to hang out together for the weekend, away from the boys. The guys were cribbing about it and said they’ll come crash our party which I know none of us will actually mind. I spent the week thinking about Byunghyun the whole time, wondering if he is really busy or avoiding any confrontation. Taec-oppa has also been worrying about me since I’ve been so absent-minded but I just can’t help fretting about him.
The weekend came sooner than I expected. Even though I made plans with the girls, I promised to hang out with Myungsoo. So I woke up early as usual and made my way down to have breakfast. My parents were already eating with no sign of my brother.
“Good morning.” I wished them.
“Morning’ where are you off to so early?” mom asked.
“Oh, I’m visiting Myungsoo. I promised to hang with him.” I replied.
“Oh then take some freshly baked cookies along too.” Mom said going into the kitchen to pack some.
“Have you spoken to that fellow?” dad asked suddenly.
“Huh… oh no. he has been away, seems like he is busy. Even Oppa said that his brother has been missing.” I stated to him.
“That fellow is not causing any trouble right?” dad asked concerned.
“No Appa, he seems to not remember anything. I want it to remain that way.” I yearned.
“Poor fellow but I just hope that his father leaves us alone.” He said getting up from his chair. “You better not stay out too long.”
“I won’t, Appa,” I promised, waving at him.
“Where’d your dad go?” mom asked entering with a container.
“Oh he went to his study; I think he has some work,” I replied eating my food.
“Anyways are you coming home for dinner?” mom asked.
“No, today the girls planned a sleepover,” I replied.
“Ooh, that’s so exciting. I wished I was young again then I could do all the things that I missed.” Mom said, smiling softly.
“Omma you don’t need to be young again, I think you’ve tried everything that we all don’t even think of doing it.” I snorted, rushing out the door along with the cookies.
“Now you say that but when you become older even you’ll miss it.” Mom shouted after me.
I took off immediately to Myungsoo’s house. I was just here las week helping Uncle with Heechul-oppa, I hope it’s all solved now. I rang the doorbell and Myungsoo opened the door.
“Yah! You came so early.” Myungsoo said excitedly.
“Yeah I have plans with the girls later so I came early to spend more time with you and catch up,” I replied. “Oh, mom sent some cookies too.”
“Oh give it here.” He said and snatched it off my hand.
“Yah! What’s with you? I was just going to give it to you. Seriously.” I scowled.
“I know. Come on let’s go.” He said munching on the cookies and leading me to the game room.
“you seem to off these days.” He commented.
“Yeah, I haven’t been myself lately. It’s nothing serious just thinking about the internship.” I said innocently.
“You don’t have to worry about it yet.” He replied, throwing himself on the sofa.
I took a seat next to him and started to compete with each other. We spent a lot of time playing games and watching movies. Aunty gave us an incessant flow of snacks which kept our stomachs happy. We talked all the things that we missed on each other’s life and talked about Oppa and Puff wedding preparations. I found out that they have agreed to marry within next three months. The whole family was happy with their decisions. It seems aunt and uncle can’t hide their joy; it can be seen in their faces.
“Where are you girls planning to go?” Myungie asked.
“Oh, we’re just having a sleepover. They want to gossip about guys.” I replied smiling.
“Oh sleepover, I thought you guys are having a night out.” He said with a happy expression.
“no way, we all just want to hang and catch up. It’s been hectic these days.” I said.
“You don’t say. Everybody seems to be in a dilemma over something. I’ve seen all your friends loo
