I was speechless.

I stared at my hands to avoid eye contact. "Are you sure you weren't dreaming? You were dreaming." 

"Jessi..."

"I didn't say anything."

"You didn't?" She looked at me with a hurt expression. 

"I....." 

She cut me off. "I found these." 

She opened her palm to show two silver rings, both identical. 

They were couple rings, Tiffany and I bought them when we were in highschool.

But why are they still here?

I stared at them blankly. "...You didn't throw them away?" 

"Jessi, do you remember what we said when we bought these rings?"

"I think that one is pretty." Tiffany pointed to two rings, they were just plain silver on the outside with love engraved on the inside of one of them and forever on the other.

I stared at them and then called the store clerk over. "Hi, can I see those rings?"

"What are you doing?" Tiffany hit me on my arm lightly and questioned.

"I'm seeing them." I answered her.

The store clerk lady took them out and place them infront of us.

I took Tiffany's hand and slid the ring onto her ring finger. 

She stared blankly at me.

"It's pretty." I smiled and turned to the lady. "How much does this cost?"

"You have to buy both of them, it's on sale so 35 dollars."

"Jessi, I don't need a ring." Tiffany raised a brow at me. "I don't even have a boyfriend." 

"It's for us." I told her.

"Us?" 

I put the ring that had forever engraved on it, on my finger. I raised my hand up. "I, Jessica Jung promise to keep Tiffany Hwang happy, forever."

Tiffany giggled at me.

I smiled. "Your turn."

She raised her hand up. "I, Tiffany Hwang promise to always love Jessica Jung with all my heart."

"That's so cheesy." I cracked up. 

She pouted. 

"Sorry." I stopped laughing and smiled at her. "Alright, you can't take that ring off ok? If you take it off, you'll break your promise."
