girl: oppa! annyeong~

boy: oh annyeong! come here, sit beside me

girl: okay, what do you want to talk about oppa?

boy: i'm going to leave Korea

girl: eh? why oppa?

boy: remember that school that i applied for scholarship? i got accepted and i have to go there and study

girl: oh... jinjjayo?[looks upset]

boy: mm, but don't worry i'll send you boxes of chocolates. you like chocolates right? abd i'm going to call you everyday

girl: really? [forcing a smile] okay. you promised that! pinky swear!

>>10years later>>

lady: ji kyo-yah~ hurry up and eat your breakfast. you'll be late for school

Ji Kyo: de~ [gets down to the stairs] good morning~

Mrs. Lee: yes~ come on, eat your breakfast. oh your father is in the states, he has some business to do there

Ji Kyo: really? so appa can visit Hae oppa?

Mrs. Lee: he already went to the place he stays and he can't find him there

Ji Kyo: oh... [eats her breakfast] eomma i'm finished! got to g--

Soo In: Ji Kyo palli! eomma we're going

Mrs. Lee: okay, bye take care

Ji Kyo and her brother, Soo In went to their school. When they reached there, they went on separate ways but before parting someone shouted

guy: Soo In hyung! hyung!

Soo In: yah Ji Kyo, didn't i told you?

Ji Kyo: told me about what?

Soo In: about your fanboys, calling me hyung as if we are close

Ji Kyo: oppa! i already told them that! oh i have to go oppa, bye~

Soo In: aigoo that girl is really stubborn. i have to be on my way now

guy: Soo In hyung! hyung![grabs Soo In's arm]

Soo In: aish! who are you ?! why do--[turns around] oh? what are you doing? let go--

guy: hyung let me talk. you're still that talkative guy, hyung can't you remember me?

Soo In: huh? give me a sec.

Soo In scannex his face and he even let the guy talk, incase it sounds familiar. the guy just obeyed what he is saying and after a while Soo In was satisfied in scanning him

guy: so hyung?

Soo In: [hits the guy's head] why didn't you told ne that you are coming home?!

guy: sorry hyung. oh don't you have classes to attend?

Soo In: Lee Donghae, do you think i'm still a student?

Donghae: oh yeah, you are currently working at your company

Soo In: yeah, and i got to go... i'll call eomma and--

Donghae: no hyung, i just have something to tell to Ji Kyo and i'll leave back to states

Soo In: so, you'll be here for a day or two?

Donghae: yeah, so don't tell anything about it to your mom or your sister

Soo In: okay, i'm gonna leave you now, wait where are you going?

Donghae: i don't know, why do you want me to come with you?

Soo In: well that's up to you. kaja!

the two of them went to the Lee Companies and spend time together. hours passed, it was the dismissal time for Ji Kyo and she decided to walk to her house. on the way to her house, a random person approached her

guy: Ji Kyo!

Ji Kyo: who are you?! [walks away]

guy: [grabs her arm] hey Ji Kyo wait

Ji Kyo: what?! don't hold my arm! i don't know you!!

guy: [let go of the hand] what do you mean you don't know? can't you remenber this face or this voice?

Ji Kyo: will o ask who are you if i know or recognize you? [walks away]

guy: [copes up] Ji Kyo, this is your oppa. your childhood friend

as the guy mentioned it, she stopped and froze. the guy on the other hand was just staring at her as though he really wabt Ji Kyo to remember him. it took her minutes to buffer, she didn't say anything but she jumped over him and hugged him

Ji Kyo: oppa! you're Donghae oppa right?

Donghae: yeah, it took you long before you realize

Ji Kyo: well yeah. it has already been 10 years since i last saw you

Donghae: well yeah, oh why don't we hang out for a while?

She nodded and both of them went to a cafe in the neighborhood. they sat on a 4 chaired tabke and ordered

Donghae: Ji Kyo-yah, you became a lady!

Ji Kyo: well yes ofcourse! oh oppa, are we waitibg for someone?

Donghae: yeah, a close friend of mine from States. 

Ji Kyo: *nods* so oppa, how's your life in states?

Donghae: well, not that difficult but i really missed you. oh here she is, Hye Ra-yah!

Hye Ra: oh, Hae... oh is she Ji Kyo? annyeong *waves*

Ji Kyo: annyeonghaseyo *bows* I'm Lee Ji Kyo

Hye Ra: mm, so did you already told her? *sits down*

Ji Kyo: about what oppa? oppa?

He snapped out to his senses and stared at Ji Kyo. He couldn't stand it anymore so he looked away, Hye Ra was watching the two as they exchange galnces occassionally. She can't resist it anymore and hit Donghae on the head, he moaned in pain and looked at her with 'what-the-?!' look. Hye Ra whispered something to Donghae but was audible to Ji Kyo, so she heard it all and she was controlling all those tears after the two of them talked

Donghae: [sees Ji Kyo's head bowed down] Ji Kyo-yah~ oppa has something--

*Ring Ring*

Ji Kyo: *sniffs* o-oh sorry, [wipes her tears and answers the call] excuse me for a bit.

Hye Ra: [sees Ji Kyo walking away] yah! i already told you, if you can't then you'll pay for it

She drank the Lemon juice that she ordered and just sat in silence, after a whil; she came back with her eyes redish in color. Donghae was worried so he stood up and went to her but she refused it and looked away while grabbing her bag

Donghae: Ji Kyo-yah, where are you going? i still have to--

Ji Kyo: sorry oppa, eonni... mom called me and i have to go, see you. oh and thank you oppa! [hugs Donghae with a forced smile] i really missed you.. see you real soon oppa

she went out of the cafe and left the two there sitting in silence. after a while Hye Ra faced Donghae and gave him another hit on the head and again he moaned in pain, he was not able to control it and half-shouted 

Donghae: what's your problem? you kept on hitting me

Hye Ra: well, its all because your stupid and... stupid! why didn't you tell her the truth?

Donghae: i don't really know, what she will react and i don't want our friendship will be broken. she just sees me as an oppa and nothing more

Hye Ra: did she say that to you? [sees Donghae shake his head] aigoo~ you're really stupid!

Donghae: why?! look, that's what i feel and maybe that feeling is tru--

Hye Ra: its certainly false! did you saw her a while ago? maybe she heard everything, misunderstood everything and that's the reason she cried

Donghae: cried? she didn't cry and how do you know all this?

Hye Ra: girls know girls better than boys. she did cried, aish you're so stubborn. i'll leave you now! pay this okay? thanks!

Donghae: yah-- aish that girl! but what does she mean by all of those? i'll find it out soon

he talked to his self for a little while and then left the cafe. on Ji Kyo's side, she walked to her house while crying and accidentally bumped someone . she quickly said sorry then ran to her house, when she reached the house; she was welcomed by her mother so she quickly wiped her tears and act like she didn't cried.

Ji Kyo: oh eomma whar is that you want to tell?

Mrs Lee: well, your father called and he told me to tell you that you're going to states and study there

Ji Kyo: eh?! are you sure about that eomma?

Mrs. Lee: yeah and there will be a surprise for you wheb you reach there

Ji Kyo: [teary eyed] but mom .. i-i-- my school here and friends

Mrs. Lee: aigoo~ don't cry.. isn't it that you want to see Hae? then you can see him anytime you waht

Ji Kyo: o-oh de... i'm going upstairs

Mrs. Lee: okay, oh you'll be leaving tomorrow.. everything is arranged now

Ji Kyo: tomorrow ?

Mrs. Lee: yeah, i know its all so sudden but you can still hang out with your friends this evening

Ji Kyo: oh de..

she went to her room and called her friends. she let her meet at the usual place they were hanging out to bond with, Donghae was included to the friends and even her brother. after an hour she and her brother went to the meeting place. when they arrived there, they saw everyone gathered there including Donghae and his friend Hye Ra.

girl: Ji Kyo-yah, annyeong ~

Ji Kyo: yah Haneul annyeong ~ oppa, eonni annyeong ~
