Crazy, Insane, and Twisted     Myungsoo was a mess.   Without prior notice, he had missed out a couple of days of work. Isolated, alone, and secluded at home, he drowned himself in alcohol, deep in thought.   He had reflected back on his relationship with Jieun for the last couple of years or so; Myungsoo realized that the saying ‘you don’t know what it is that you have until it’s gone’ was true.   I’ve been too soft on her, he concluded, setting the clear cup of whiskey down on his table, I should’ve known better. I need to teach her, once and for all, that Kim Myungsoo is the only man that will partake in her life.   He emotionlessly gazed at the half-empty glass in front of him. It had a thin layer of water vapor resting on its surface, due to the temperature difference between the icy drink and the room. You’re like that glass of whiskey right now, Myungsoo thought. Your sight is shrouded by a fog named Nam Woohyun. Then, he held the cup in his hand wiped it with his sleeve. Once I claim you back and…and clean you up, you’ll be fine. We’ll be back to normal, just like before – when we loved each other, and when we couldn’t live without one another.   Myungsoo delicately ran his fingers through his hair and let out a deep breath. “Now… What should I do to get my Jieun back?” he whispered.     Jieun awoke on a particularly sunny Saturday, rubbing her eyes and grabbing a mirror as soon as she got out from her bed.   Her eyes were swollen – again. Jieun had cried herself to sleep the previous night. Though it was her own self that had claimed of a break-up, she felt that she was the one with the heartbreak. I bet he doesn’t even care, she thought. I’m not worth anything to him, anyway. She tried her best to get rid of any thoughts about Kim Myungsoo – the best method was school.   It had been a very long time since she had come to class. When she walked in the lecture hall a bit before the lecture began, some of her classmates began whispering to each other in amazement; it appeared to Jieun that the professor, too, was impressed.   Lee Jieun was one of the brightest students any teacher could have. She graduated from high school with the best grades, with the best titles, and with the acceptance letter to the best universities throughout South Korea. Seoul University accepted Jieun with open arms and a full ride – in fact, they were probably grateful that she had chosen the very university.   The first couple of years were smooth and easy-going. Nothing was too difficult with Jieun, and having befriended several friends, she had adjusted well into the “college-life”.   Her relationship with her first boyfriend, Kim Myungsoo, had also been a very pleasant one – though Myungsoo attended Yonsei University, the couple was famous throughout both campuses. There was not a day in which Jieun would stop dreaming of her all-too-perfect boyfriend; but of course, it suddenly came to a stop.   Ever since the incident with Kim Sunggyu, Jieun’s life had become hell. Myungsoo’s obsession symptoms worsened by the day – it first began with sudden fits of anger and eventually ended with the present-day Kim Myungsoo.   Jieun missed class often; everyone first assumed that she was out sick, but as she continued her absences, even the professors couldn’t hide their surprise. Her grades, as well as her reputation as a good student, dropped to the bottom as fast as the speed of light; to Jieun’s surprise, she discovered that unless she were to make up a year-and-a-half’s worth of work somehow, she would be expelled.   “What’s with Lee Jieun?”   “She’s actually attending class?”   “I wonder how crappy her grades are by now…”   Jieun tried her best to ignore the audible whispers throughout the hall, and after a very long walk, she arrived to her ‘usual’ spot with her friends Suji, Yoseob, and Woohyun.   Nam Woohyun was actually surprised that Jieun came to class – in a whole piece at that, too. “Hey,” he whispered softly as she sat besides him, “Are you…okay?”   She gave him a small smile and a nod. “Yeah.”   The professor walked over to his lecture podium and said in a loud voice, “Alright, class. Today’s topic is thermo-chemistry – the transfer of heat and energy. And before
