Burnt to Nothing
Description
People who are heartbroken are lucky; it means they have a heart, a heart that can be fixed. Some hearts burn in the fire of pain, burn to nothing, never to be seen again. All feelings: love, happiness, sadness, pain, become nothing, nothing but a mere memory. A memory so distant it was as if it was only imagination. Nothing matters anymore.
There are two types of people in this world, separated by one simple question:
What is the meaning to life?
A very simple question, and simple questions come with simple answers:
Their is no meaning to life.
The lucky ones brush this off; even pretend that there is a meaning. They continue to live life, normally, without a problem. These are the people who have hearts, who were left with a burn.
However, there are also the unlucky ones. The ones whose hearts’ were broken to the extreme extent. A simple burn they can’t withstand. To them it is an everlasting fire. They are the ones whose hearts’ no longer exist. Who ponder the ‘meaning to life’. They think, if there is no meaning why live? However they are not suicidal. For suicidal people feel pain, rejection, we feel nothing.
The idea of 'Nothing' is complex; there is no real explanation for it. In order to know what it is it, it must be felt. But once it is, there is no turning back…
Hopefully you're one of the lucky ones.

Prompt:
"My broken heart has burned away. I became a complete bum – I don’t remember the last time I properly ate or smiled. There’s no meaning to life now." - Phantom's Burning
You know what the best feeling is?
Take a guess.
Come on, tell me, what do you think?
I’ll guess you said love, or at least something positive.
Well, you’re wrong.
The best feeling in the world, is pain.
Grieving over a death.
Suffering from a divorce.
Feeling your heart break.
Maybe you think I’m crazy, who knows, maybe I am.
Why, why is pain the best feeling?
Because it proves you can feel.
