This fanfic was written a year ago as a tribute. 

This was the time where Taeyeon had this hair-style: 

“What’s with the hair?” 

Taeyeon just walked in their dorm from the salon. She flashed a smile at the person who asked it, “I look cute, don’t I?”

The blonde looked at her as her brows furrowed, and walked away. She didn’t bother answering Taeyeon’s question.

Taeyeon looked at her reflection from the back of her iPod touch. I look so cool, she thought. She then jogged after Jessica, who was now in her room. “You don’t like my hair?” asked the kid leader as she hugged Jessica from behind; her chin was on top of Jessica’s shoulders.

Jessica sighed, “Maybe I’ll like it someday.”

“So you don’t?” The sadness in Taeyeon’s voice was evident.

“Well...”

“Well?” Taeyeon anticipated.

“Well, if the company wants your hair to be short… then I guess it’s fine. We really can’t do anything about it.”

“I asked if you liked it.” Taeyeon released Jessica from the hug. Sighing, Taeyeon just walked out on Jessica. Shutting the door lightly behind her.

“What the hell is that midget’s problem?!” Jessica asked Tiffany in English. They were both in the living room, seated on the coach.

Tiffany was reading an English magazine, Elle. She shrugged and said, “You know your lover’s unpredictable.”

Jessica sighed. It had been days since they last talked to each other. Whenever she tried to approach Taeyeon, the midget would just automatically walk the other way. None of Jessica’s tactics worked. She tried pouting at Taeyeon since she knew Taeyeon couldn’t resist it, but she thought wrong. 

“Whatever. It’s not like I did anything wrong to her.”

Tiffany closed the magazine and looked at Jessica straight in the eye, “You guys don’t usually fight. I mean, the last time Taeyeon gave you a cold shoulder was years ago? It was before our debut. You barely started dating then.”

“Yeah, and that time, she was jealous of the rumor with Donghae-oppa. It was stupid.”

“Are you sure you didn’t say anything that could upset her?”

“Yes! The last time we talked was about her hair.”

Tiffany laughed, “Funny hair cut by the way. Why did our stylist allow her to get that hair cut? I don’t really like it.”

Jessica hugged Tiffany tightly, “Only you can understand me.” 

Just seconds later, they heard the door behind them shut loudly. It was Taeyeon’s and Sunny’s room. “I think your girl’s PMs-ing.”

Jessica glared at the door as if it was Taeyeon. “That byuntae’s stupid.” She then eyed Tiffany. “No way! She just finished two weeks ago. So there’s no way in hell she’s PMs-ing again.”

Tiffany grabbed her magazine, “Byuntae huh? Like you’re not one, Byunsica.”

Jessica sighed. “I just don’t know what I did to make her mad. ”

“You did talk about her hair. Did she mention anything before that? Or after?” Tiffany’s concentration was on the magazine, reading.

“I just remembered that she asked me if I like her hair. I said it’s fine since we can’t really choose. They decide on our concept and we follow it. I guess she just really lost her brains along with her long hair. She’s too moody!” 

Tiffany’s eyes shifted towards Jessica. “You didn’t know?”

“What?” Jessica wondered.

“About her hair.

Jessica furrowed, “No duh?! I can see that she stole Johnny Depp’s wig when he played Willy Wonka. I see that perfectly fine.”

Tiffany couldn’t help but giggle. “You sure have good humor.”

Jessica glared, “I didn’t mean for it to be a joke. She should get extensions. I dislike her hair.”

Tiffany placed her forefinger on her lips. “Sssh! Speak in English. She might hear you.” 

“Good! She should hear me so she’d know that her girlfriend still exists and that she’s ignoring her.” Jessica said, loud enough to be heard by Taeyeon, who was in her room.

Tiffany frowned, “Jessica… you’re being immature now. ”

“What? You’re saying I’m the immature one when she’s the one not talking to me?” Jessica was frustrated. “Seriously, I don’t know why she’s not talking to me. ”

“Well, you did say you like cute guys. ” 

“So? Who doesn’t like cute guys?” Asked Jessica.

“English!” Tiffany warned once more. “You said you liked Onew and some guys during intervie---”

Taeyeon’s door opened, “Tiffany, tell the girls I’m heading out. I have a schedule.” She looked at Jessica but the blonde was now ignoring her.

“Okay.” Tiffany said; her face was sullen. “Take care.” Taeyeon nodded and headed straight to the front door.

“She didn’t even bother talking to me.” 

Tiffany rolled her eyes, “You’re totally being immature.”

“How am I being immature? She’s the one not talking to me. Just so you know. Is it hard to understand Korean and English?”

“Whatever.”

Tiffany continued on reading. Jessica just sat there beside her, doing nothing. “What about me saying I like Onew and other guys? It’s not like she didn’t tell the world that she’s in love with those stupid actors.”

Tiffany giggled. Her best friend sure was something. “I heard from Sooyoung that Taeyeon was the one who decided to cut her hair like that. A--- “

“What?! ” Jessica exclaimed, cutting Tiffany’s words. “She was the one who wanted to have short hair?! I like her long hair though. She looks so hot! ”

Tiffany then rolled her eyes at the now excited Jessica. Well, Jessica couldn’t help it. She really did adore Taeyeon’s hair in Genie where they usually showed her forehead. Only Taeyeon could make Jessica like a forehead. Of all things… a forehead. Jessica was even the one who told their stylist to pull Taeyeon’s bangs up for Run Devil Run, which made Taeyeon’s fan club grow its numbers. Jessica wasn’t the kind to be jealous. Actually, she loved the fact that people are falling for Taeyeon. She was proud to know that her girlfriend was so beautiful that people couldn’t help adore her. She was proud that the person everyone wanted was hers, and only hers.

“I can’t really deny that she’s hot.” Tiffany said.

Jessica smiled proudly, “Of course she is. Now I want her to get extensions and get those pretty long locks back.”

“But Taeyeon changed her hair for you.”

“What!?”

“All the guys you say you have a crush on have one thing in common. They have hair like Onew. A bit longer than usual for guys. So she cut hers.”

“Why would she do that?!” Jessica was astounded. 

“Well, maybe she wanted you to see her as a guy? So you won’t have to be insecure being with a girl or you wouldn’t adore other guys.” Tiffany shrugged, “That’s just my opinion. I might be wrong.”

“Jessica. Jessica.”

“Uhmmm?” The blonde sleepily answered.

“You shouldn’t sleep here.” 

Jessica slowly opened one eye, she couldn’t help but smile as the first thing she saw was Taeyeon’s face. But it was soon replaced with a frown as she was finally awake enough to open both of her eyes and digest her surroundings. “Your hair.” 

Taeyeon cupped Jessica’s face, rubbing the latter’s cheek with her thumb. She kneeled down, to level herself with Jessica who was on her bed. “Why are you frowning?” Taeyeon’s voice was gentle.

“Your hair.” Jessica pouted. “You heard us?”

Taeyeon smiled without revealing her teeth. “Don’t you like it?” she asked as she grabbed her hair, long locks of hair.

Jessica smiled but the sadness was evident. It showed on her face. “I’m sorry.”

Taeyeon just looked at Jessica, “It’s okay. I’m sorry for ignoring you, too.”

Jessica shook her head, “It was my fault. I should seriously consider your feelings.” 

Taeyeon kissed Jessica’s forehead, “I love you.” She didn’t want Jessica to feel down because of her.

“I love you, too.” Jessica held the hand that was on her cheek and rubbed it with her thumb. “I love you very much.”

Taeyeon nodded and flashed a huge smile, “Me, too. I love you. Very much.”

Jessica pulled Taeyeon by the neck with one hand. “If you really like your short hair, it’s fine with me. Really.”

Taeyeon kissed Jessica’s shoulder, “I like it, but it’s fine. You like my hair longer, right?”

“But it’s your hair. If you told me you did it for me, I’d really like it.” Jessica said as she still embraced Taeyeon.

“Okay.” Taeyeon said as she pushed Jessica to have a better view of the blonde. “I think you forgot something.”

Jessica smiled, “I did?” she asked, and Tayeon nodded in response. “I don’t think so.”

Taeyeon pouted. “No?”

Jessica grabbed something from under the blanket behind her. “Happy birthday, Taengoo.” She handed the box wrapped in purple tissue wrap. 

Taeyeon smiled; happy that her girlfriend didn’t forget her birthday. She kissed Jessica on the lips. “Thank you!” she spoke as if she was a child early Christmas morning. Taeyeon unwrapped the present as quickly as possible, revealing white huge headphones. 

“I thought it would look really good on you and your hair.” Jessica sheepishly said.

“You want to go with me to the salon tomorrow?” She asked. “So you’ll see my boyish charm. I can look handsome, too, you know?”

Jessica giggled, “I know. My manly byuntaengoo.”

“I’m yours?” Taeyeon jokingly asked.

“Of course! You’re mine. You’re Jessica Jung’s property.” Jessica proclaimed firmly and shyly added, “And I’m yours.”

Incheon Airport

“Don’t you think you made Taeyeon look like a kid? ” Tiffany whispered as she eyed Taeyeon from a far.

Jessica giggled, “She looks like a boy. I like it.”

Tiffany looked at Jessica, confused by what the blonde said. “I thought you liked her hair longer because she looks hot.”

“She wanted to be manly and to cut her hair. I didn’t like her first hair cut though. She looks weird.” She whispered back.

Tiffany giggled, “When will Taeyeon ever realize that you don’t like manly people?” Jessica giggled along, and Tiffany continued, “I hope she figures it out soon. You made her look like a ten year old instead of someone manly. Maybe I should go tell her that.” Tiffany started walking towards Taeyeon.

“You do that and I’ll do something to your dear Yuri. I’ll tell her you like girls with short hair.”

“No!” Tiffany stopped, “Don’t you dare make her look like Willy Wonka!”

Jessica raised a brow, “Don’t you like Johnny Depp anyway?” She walked past Tiffany, leaving the girl alone. “Taengoo!” She called her lover.

Taeyeon looked back; she was wearing Jessica’s gift to her around her neck. “You ready to go?” 

Jessica nodded, “Just stick with me. You’re too manly that other girls might steal you away.” Jessica acted shy and depressed.

“Awwe.” Taeyeon hold Jessica’s hand, “My baby. Don’t worry. I’m yours, remember?”

Jessica nodded. “Let’s go manly Taengoo.”

“You keep on calling me that now.”

They handed their passport to the stewardess. Jessica leaned closer to Taeyeon, “Because you like it.” She then got her passport from the stewardess.

“Taeyeon-sshi.” The stewardess called.

“Yep.”

Taeyeon looked down, manly Taengoo, huh?  She smiled.

“Taeyeon-sshi” The photographer called.

“Kek!” Taeyeon couldn’t suppress her giggle. I’m manly Taengoo. She looked at the camera and smiled, and grabbed her passport.

She then jogged after Jessica inside the tube, heading towards the plane. Jessica was leaning on the wall, waiting for Taeyeon. When Taeyeon was close enough she said, “Manly people don’t let others wait. Hurry up!”

“Ne!” She ran towards the blonde.

“Manly people don’t let their girlfriends carry their things.”

“Ne!” Taeyeon then grabbed Jessica’s huge hand bag.

I like tricking her. Jessica mentally laughed to herself. My manly Taengoo.

Taeyeon took a picture of herself during her bday, thanking her fans and she had long hair. The next day as she flew to thailand, she had short hair.
