Prologue:

It was raining.  Thunder rumbled in the background and flashes of lightning bolted across the darkened sky every few minutes.  Despite the downpour of rain and the evening chill, one man bravely walked leisurely down the empty streets.  His hair was plastered to his face and his clothes hung on his tall lean frame.  He neither faltered in his steps or shivered with cold.  He had a purpose for being out and nothing will stop him from what he was going to do.  Stopping in front of his destination, he looked up and saw light from a lone window.  His target was still up.  With swift and panther like movements, he scaled the wall and arrived at the window.  To his surprise the window was open and he glided in with ease.  His eyes went directly to the massive four poster bed where he can see the outline of a body lying across its center.

"I've been expecting you," the soft feminine voice of the body said.

He slowly walked up to the edge of the bed and held his hand out to her in which she eagerly claimed.  Pulling her towards him, he gathered her hair together and let it fall over one shoulder, leaving the other side of her neck bared.

"Kiss me," she whispered huskily.

Quick to oblige, he buried one hand in her luscious hair and slowly tugged on it.  "Please," she whispered, her eyes beginning to close as she let herself fall under his ministrations.  Smiling to himself, he bent and placed a soft gentle kiss on her neck.  Her moan of pleasure heightened his craving and without preamble he sank his fangs into her flesh.  He felt her body thrash at the sudden pain and he fastened his lips to that savory neck and harder, draining the sweet coppery taste of her blood.  He continued and soon her body was no longer fighting.  He felt her arms go around him, clinging onto him, and he released her.

She looked up at him and saw a trail of her own blood dripping from a corner of his mouth.  With a smoldering look she leaned in and touched her tongue to that corner, tasting her own blood.  The pungent scent of the blood filled her nostril and the taste was like nothing she ever tasted.  A thirst within her churned, and her body ached for more.

He watched her reaction silently, gauging her every move.  When she lifted her eyes to his, he saw the raw hunger on her face and pushed her to fall onto the bed.  "You now belong to me."
