I waited on the bench. I glanced at my watch. 5.30 pm. It's been half
an hour since i got here. It was autumn and the evening weather was
cold. I forgot to bring my jacket. I shivered. Then someone draped a
jacket over my shoulders. I recognized the jacket. He sat next to me
and hugged me. "It's not cold when I'm around right?" It was Baro.
"What took you so long?" I pretended to pout. He laughed. "You look so
cute when you pout. This is why I was late." Then he pulled out a red
box with a white ribbon tied on top. "Saengil chukhamnida chagi." He
smiled, then kissed me on the forehead.***
"Annyeong! My name is Lee Min Ji. I just moved to Seoul a week ago
with my appa. I hope we get along well." That was 2 months ago, when I
first introduced myself to the class. After my introduction I sat down
again in my chair. The girl next to me passed a piece of paper to me.
*Annyeong, I'm Sang Hee. Wanna sit with me at lunch? I wrote back it
was nice to meet her and yes I would like to sit with her at lunch.
The school hours passed by quickly. Then the bell rangi signaling that
it was lunch time. Sang Hee and I walked together to a bench in the
park. We talked about each others lives. It turned out that Sang Hee
was a nice girl. I was glad to have a friend like her. ******* Days
went by, then weeks. On the weekends Sang Hee and I would go to the
mall together or hangout at each others house. Sang Hee would
introduce me to our classmates. Then, one day after sports class, I
felt dizzy. My appa always reminded me to drink my vitamins before
sports class. Oops. I ignored the pain and packed my stuff, getting
ready to go home. I saw Sang Hee waving at me and I ran towards her.
Then my sight became fuzzy and I out.***** "Ugh,, where am I?"
I mumbled. "Minji!! You're awake! How are you feeling? Baro oppa was
passing by and saw you fainting then brought us here." Sang Hee
explained. Just as she finished explaining a tall boy walked in the
room holding a tray with 3 mugs. "Ah, you're awake. It's cold outside
so I brought you
some hot chocolate." I guess he was Baro oppa. I sat up and took the
mug. He sat on a chair and watched me drink. He wasn't bad looking. He
was tall, his eyes shined with kidness, I had to admit he was actually
prettty cute. "Oppa, gomawo for everything but I'm fine now. We better
go now." I said standing up. "Want me to drive you home?" Baro h
offered. I was startled by this and glanced at Sang Hee who was
standing behind Baro oppa. She nodded furiosly. That was the first
time I met my love.

"Minji,,Lee Minji~, wake up!!!" Yu Kyung screamed into my ears. I was
so startled that I fell off my chair. "Yu kyung! Don't bother her, she
is dreaming about her oppa." Sang Hee teased. "Hah? Oppa? She has a
brother?" Yu kyung asked."No silly, oppa as in boy that she likes."
Sang Hee rolled her eyes. "Eh? Oppa..HAAH?! Why didnt you tell me?
There is a boy?" Yu Kyung started shaking. "What? No,no! Really,
I'm...ok I guess,," I said. "Aah!! Tell me, tell me!" They forced.
Just then Baro was standing at the door. "Lee Minji?"Uh He called out
my name. Uh oh. "Ah, bye?" I said to them and walked calmly out the
door. "Minji, can I talk to you?" Baro asked. "Sure, why not?" I
smiled happily. "Great. Listen I got these 3 tickets to a concert so
if you and your friends wanna go.." "Oh, tonight?" "Yup, I'll pick you
up tonight. See ya." And he left me with 3 tickets and both of my
bestfriends screaming.*****
I waited with my friends at my house. "Minji!! You look so yeppo! He
will totally fall for you." Sang Hee smiled. Then Yu kyung tapped my
shoulder. "Umm, Minji, do you know who he is?" "Yap, Baro from the
11th grade. Wae?" Yu Kyung's eyes widened. "Just Baro from the 11th
grade!!?? He is cha sun woo, baro, from B1A4!!"
"So?" I was still confused. "Celeb?" YuKyung said giving me the
"hellloooo?" look. I gasped. No way. I was still in a state of shock
when he pulled up in front of my house. "Hop in girls."

It turned out Baro told the security that I was with them so I got to
go back stage. The concert was awesome. Baro rapped so well my heart
beated so fast. After the show, Baro introduced me to his friends.
"Hyung, she's the girl you keep talking about? The one with pretty
eyes?" a guy named gongchan said. He punched gongchan's arm. "Don't
listen to him Min Ji, he's like that." I smiled. "She has a nice smile
too. Oooh...Baro,,you bad boy." CNU oppa teased. "Hyung, stop teasing
me." My friends came backstage and were so happy to meet the other
members. They went with the other members. I was about to join in but
Baro pulled me away. He covered my eyes and dragged me somewhere. When
i opened my eyes we were alone. "Uhh..can ask you number?" He asked.
"You dragged me here just to ask my number?" I said. "Well,,yeah. I
don't wanna ask in front of the others. They will laugh at me."
I laughef. "Okay." We swapped numbers. Then Baro said it was late and
offered me a ride home. I agreed. That was probably the best night
ever.....******
Okay, Baro and i got close. We texted alot, hung out alot. A month
went by and i got a message from him. "Meet me in the park. Usual
spot." I was so excited. I put on my best clothes and walked to the
park.******

"Saengil chukhamnida" and he kissed me on the forehead. He smiled.huh?
Oh, it was my birthday! How could i forget? "Gomawo oppa." I said.
"Cheonmanayo yeppo. I hope you like it. Open it." He smiled. I blushed
and did as he said. I gasped. It was a ring and necklace. "Oppa, I
don't know what to say. It's beautiful."  "I'm glad you like it." Then
he put the necklace around my neck, and the ring on my finger. "Min
Ji, there are three reasond why I told you to come here. The first is
your birthday. The second, how should i say this? uh, minji,
saranghae. Would you be my girlfriend?" Oh gosh, i felt like i wss
gonna faint.
"Oppa? Are you ok?" I asked cautiosly. "Min Ji i'm fine. So what's you
answer?" "Explain first why do you like me?" "How can't i? You are
smart, beautiful, kind, easygoing and an understanding person. So now
what's your answer?" He really wasn't patient. "Ne, oppa. I love you
too." And we hugged. "Oppa, so what wad the 3rd reason?" he started
tearing up. Wow, he is sensitive. Cute ><. "Tomorrow I'll be leaving
for London because my parents are moving there." I started to cry.
"Chagi, please don't cry, i'll try to text or call you as much as i
can. I promise." He hugged me. But the feeling was too painful. He
asks me out then tells me he's leaving. :( "Look before i leave, i
want to spend one night together, just the two of us." So that night i
walked near the pond watching fireworks with Baro. It was a cold
autumn night, but with him beside me, i felt like the world belonged
just for the two of us.*********
3 years passed since my last night with Baro. He texted me sometimes,
but not often. I never forgot him. I always wore the gifts from him.
I've already started collage  I've made new friends. But sometimes I
still hang out with my highschool friends. Some guys asked me out but
I always say no because I remember Baro. Then one day while I was
sitting at the place where Baro and I spent our last hours together, I
thought I saw his face smiling at me from the lake. "Oppa, I miss you.
Do you still remember me? Don't look at me like that. My life is too
painful without you." The image rippled and disappeared. I wept. This
love was to painful. Then a jacket was draped over my shoulders.
"Chagi~." Someone called softly. I'm hallucinating again, I thought.
"Chagi~" The voice called again. I looked back slowly. Oppa was right
behind me. I ran to him. "Oppa I missed you so much! I thought you
forgot about me." "I missed you too. I would never forget you. You are
the only one." It was a summer evening and we watched the fireworks
together. Just the two of us.
