Chapter 23: Carnival

Hae's POV:

Do you want to hang out today?-Curly~

Can't I'm grounded... :(-Hae

You can sneak out!-Curly~

I don't know...If I get caught I'm going to get grounded for even longer!-Hae

Pwease!? Do it for me? ^.^-Curly~

Fine...I'll try.-Hae

Okay:D I'll meet you at your house:)-Curly~

I close my phone and look out my doorway. Gotta be sneaky!

 Seeing that the coast is clear I run quickly down the hallway and look down the stairs to see my mom at her computer.

I quietly and quickly tip toe behind my mom and open the door.

Yes! I mentally shout to myself. I made it! But then as I close the door it kinda slams instead of closing quietly like I wanted.

Crap!

"Hae is that you?" My mom asks turning towards me.

"Uhh yes mom?" I ask trying to act like I wasn't just trying to sneak out.

"Where are you going?" my mom asks.

"Err...I have  a project due with a classmate, and I'm going over to their house to finish it." I say.

"Oh ok. Well be home earlier than last night. Your lucky L.Joe explained everything to me otherwise you would be grounded."

"Wait...What? L.Joe explained what to you?" I ask confused.

"L.Joe told me that he had you run some errands for him and that he's sorry he caused you to come home so late." my mom says. "I mean that's what he told me...Is that true?" she asks raising an eyebrow at me.

"W-what? Of course it is! Well gotta go! Bye love you mom!" I say as I hurriedly run out of the house.

L.Joe covered for me? Why would he do that?
