Police sirens echoed in the still night’s air. The crowd was trying to see what was going on inside the house that was surrounded by the yellow tape with the black, bold words: DO NOT CROSS. The police maneuvered their way around carefully, in total silence. They were all waiting.
“What was the emergency that you had to call me home on my free day?” A man dressed in a black suit got off from a white BMW.
“Detective Park! There was another murder,” an officer approached the man.
“And you called me out just for that?! I was dreaming about an exotic island when you-”
“This one is different.”
The detective turned around to face the old and fat officer who had approached him and glared at him with clear annoyance.
“There’s no such thing as ‘different’ when it comes to murders,” the younger one replied while slipping his hands into his white, rubber gloves. “Lets get through with this!” Without any hesitation , he crossed the yellow tape.
