Rendezvous

Description

Jonghyun/you about the lust and love for a single person, how absence makes the heart grow fonder and all.

Foreword

Jonghyun stared out of the airplane window, his fingers running through his soft, dark brown hair. His heart was flying high, as high as the clouds. After all those months he was alone in his room, either staying awake crying his heart out or trying his best to remain asleep to have a chance of dreaming of you, he was finally making his way back to your arms. A few more hours, just a few more hours. He closed his eyes and once more, his tears flowed. No one saw him, and that was the only time when he could just picture you. If only he had you in his arms then.

With a slight pat on his shoulders, Jonghyun forced his eyes open to see his hyung staring back at him.

“We’re here,” Onew said, grinning widely. “You’d better hurry. This flight was delayed for like 40 minutes.”

“What?” Jonghyun rubbed his eyes as he stood up. “Seriously?”

Onew nodded, making way for his friend. “Go on,” he said. He passed Jonghyun his jacket and bag and the young man quickly made his way to the airplane exit.

He ran, without stopping or staring. He knew the way very well for he visits this place at least once every month. Seoul Incheon was quiet at that time since it was in the early morning. As swiftly as he could, he made his way to the immigration counter to get his passport checked. Key volunteered to help him with his luggage. All so he could get to you as fast as he could.

Your were waiting patiently outside. There was no sign from anyone from the band or crew that the flight was delayed. You had to personally check the flight announcement screen for the information you needed. Delayed. 40 minutes. You waited without a complaint. You needed to see Jonghyun. It was the only reason you came.

Soon enough, those 40 minutes passed. Returning to the gate, you found a group of girls holding banners and posters, awaiting the arrival of a band you were only too familiar with. No one knew about you. No one knew who you were to that boy, that special someone. It was a heavy secret to keep, even from SM’s upper management. Yet, you still walked up to the gate when you saw that the flight’s passengers started to file out one by one. The girls were getting noisier, but all you could hear was the sound of your rapidly beating heart. This was it. This was the moment you’ve been waiting for since the start of the year.

Your grip in the railing was getting cold and sweaty. Your heart raced when you spotted someone running, and you knew at that instant it was him. He was still so far, and yet at one look, he saw you. He knew it was you. His eyes were bigger than ever and a large grin filled his face. The girls started to get excited at the sight of Jonghyun, and you realized when he had made his way nearer, he slowed down and maintained his posture. You knew it was the cue. He had to act normal.

You watched as he came out of the arrival hall and was greeted by hundreds of girls in the middle of the night. It was unbelievable, you thought for that moment, how Jonghyun would love you among so many other beautiful girls that loved him. And then you fell more in love when he appeared right before you in person, incidentally using another girl’s marker to sign on your hand that was glued to the railing. His touch was so soft and gentle, and you secretly begged for more. His bright eyes never failed to make you smile, and you wished that you could cut this play short and pull him in for a kiss. If only you knew it was exactly what he thought, and more.

Like expected, the fans realized nothing as he walked on. One of the bodyguards followed him away. Soon after, the rest of the boys came out, capturing the girls’ attention. You looked down at your hand. It was actually a message.

‘KA VIP’

It took you a while to figure it out, and you knew that it had to be none other than Korean Air VIP Lounge. You had only been there once. It was the last time when you sent him off months back. It had to be. You blushed at the thought of what happened that morning. Quickly, you brushed it aside and made your way as discretely as possible to where the lounge was. There must be a way you would be allowed in without being a VIP.

With quick and nimble steps, you made your way to your secret rendezvous. Your heart never stopped fluttering. Making sure you were alone, you approached the friendly personnel who seemed like she was awaiting your presence.

“May I help you?”

You showed her your hand.

“To the last door.”

He was behind the door. You made your way to it down the corridor. They were like little lounges, some were mini meeting rooms. Then you came to the one you were looking for. Your hand was on handle. Before you could push it down, it opened like magic. He knew.

“Jakiya,” he started, pushing the door open entirely. His face was so demure, as gorgeous as you remembered, yet you could tell he was fatigued from the jetlag, but you didn’t know that he was trying his best to hide his lethargy just so he would be as excited to hold you. You wanted to hold him, and so did he, but the both of you were just standing there in waiting. You both had to capture this moment in memory.

“Oppa,” you smiled. He smiled at the fact that you rarely called him that but since he called you what he called you, you figured being playful is the way to start.

Jonghyun took one step forward but you were spontaneous, and you took two steps towards him, wrapping your arms around his neck and pressing your lips against him like never before. He was only too happy to accept it. Both of your hearts were engulfed in flaming desire pent up over the past months. It was the moment you’ve both been waiting for.

Jonghyun’s lips were warm and soft, he had obviously taken care of them despite the cold weather. Your hands went through his hair as he did yours, the other of his holding the small of your back, pulling you closer. Your kisses both were getting frantic and passionate, and slowly, he led you into the room until he fell back onto the lounge sofa. And you inevitably fell on him. But the kiss never broke.

Jonghyun’s back straightened as your knees bent alongside his thighs, making sure you were properly and comfortably sitting on him. Then you gave a little gasp when his tongue touched yours. It sent shivers down his spine at the same time your nails lightly scratched his neck.

You could feel the passion burning, and because your heart was going too fast, you needed a fresh breath of air. Coincidentally, Jonghyun pulled apart as well. His nose was pressed against yours, lips still lingering near as he spoke, his eyes connected to yours, “I missed you. So much.”

“I know,” you whispered back, fingers tracing his lips.

His hand rested on your hips as he gave the smile you fell for at first sight, the cute smile that got him anything he wanted from you. “I love you.”

“Really?” You asked playfully, but you looked serious.

Jonghyun was worried. “I do,” he said. “I’ll love you forever.”

“But everyone says that,” you say, biting your lower lip. You love his serious look although what he said was actually cheesy. “You’re not the first who said it to me, you know.”

“Then I’ll be the last.”

Your heart skipped two beats. It was what you wanted to hear, something that could make you faint right before his very eyes, or melt into a puddle of mush. He was giving you that look again.

“I’ll say this again, and everyday for as long as we live no matter how far apart we are and where in the world I am. I love you, and I’ll love you always.”

“Jonghyun,” you said as you cupped his handsome face. “Kiss me.”

Your eyes closed. His lips were on yours again.
