Chapter 11
Whom to Fall“Do you want a cup of coffee?”
“Sure.”
Baekhyun held the door open for her. Like what he had predicted, they didn’t go to the bar after. He was right. Her mood changed when she saw Kai with another woman. So they’re in her house. In fairness to Baekhyun, he had been a very nice date.
“You have a nice place here,” he commented when he sat down in one of the chairs.
“Thank you. My mom was into interior designing so she was the one who decorated my unit.” She said. “And Baekhyun, I’m really sorry about earlier.”
“It’s okay.”
Byun Baekhyun. Handsome, rich and gentleman. Not to mention, she can’t see any bad qualities that Kai keeps on insisting. But, does she feel anything for him? Yes? No?
Her thoughts were cut short when someone has entered her house. But at that moment, an intruder that isn’t welcome came in.
“Sir Kai!” greeted by one of her maids. “How are you sir? Miss Jieun’s inside.”
“Give me coffee. The strongest, okay?”
“Yes sir. How about some cake sir?”
“Sure. Give me a slice.”
“You sure look hungry sir.”
“Yes. Especially when I’m this hot-headed,” he said then faced them. “Hey, make those two slices.”
“Pay for that Jong-in! I’m the one who brought that!” Jieun shouted.
“What do you think of me? Poor?” he got his card from his wallet. “Buy all the cakes in the nearest bakeshop.”
“Do you think that there’s still an open bakeshop at this hour?” again she shouted.
“I don’t care!” Then he turned his attention at Baekhyun, “You are still having a date at this time? Isn’t it too late?”
She is the one who answered. The way she sees Kai, he’s already not in the mood. And she doesn’t want others to be involved at his current temper.
“That’s really none of your business, Kai. Just eat the cake.”
“I will!” He got the coffee and cakes and went to the dining area. “You two, don’t look at me. I’m fine here alone.”
“We’re not looking at you.” She then faced Baekhyun. “I’m apologizing in behalf of Kai’s rude attitude. He’s always like that when he’s having a bad day.”
