“Ren? You work here?” Minhyun asked, surprised to see him.

“Yes. I work here.” Ren raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m waiting for a friend…..looks like she’s not here yet.” Minhyun observed, scanning the area.

“It’s a ‘she’? Who is it?” Ren thought curiously. Putting aside the thought, he gestured Minhyun towards a table. “Do you want anything?”

“No thanks.”

Ren turned around to leave, only to be held back by Minhyun tugging on his sleeve.

“What? I thought you didn’t want anything.” Ren said indignantly.

“I’m bored. Since my partner isn’t here yet, you will stay with me and keep me company.”

Ren gnashed his teeth. “How much more troublesome can this guy get?” he thought to himself. Nevertheless, he sat down on Minhyun’s table.

“Who knew you worked at such a place?” Minhyun said, amused. Ren sat up in annoyance.

“If you don’t like it, then don’t come here,” Ren shot back.

“I didn’t say I dislike it, did I?” Minhyun smiled slyly. Then he stood up.

“Oh, she’s here.”

Ren quickly stood up and stepped away from the table. He looked up to see a girl approaching the table.

“What the heck?! Isn’t she Nana, the most popular girl in school? What is she doing with a guy like Minhyun?” Ren thought. Nana sat down on the table gracefully.

“Miss, would you like anything to drink?” Ren asked.

“One cup of expresso please. No sugar.” Nana replied, flashing him a smile. Ren swallowed quickly and left towards the kitchen.

“Aron, one cup of expresso! No sugar.” Ren shouted at Aron.

“Coming right away!” Aron looked up. “Oh…my….gods….isn’t that Nana? THAT Nana?!”

“Yup, that’s her.” Ren replied flatly. Aron however, couldn’t stop staring.

“Isn’t she just so beautiful? No wonder she’s the No.1 of our school,” Aron said dreamily with a dopey smile on his face. Ren rolled his eyes.

“Hey, who’s that guy with her?”

“He’s named Minhyun. The new student in my class.” Ren replied without looking up.

Aron whistled loudly. “Wow, he’s one good looking guy. No wonder Nana likes him. They seem close.”
