Maybe life wasn't always perfect for you, but it definitely wasn't the worse either. Sure your mom was a heavy drinker and maybe your dad did occasionally miss your music productions but that didn't mean you don't love your parents or think your life was one big tragedy. The only thing you regretted in your life though was your parents divorce. Mom wasn't a saint and Dad wasn't exactly prince charming but that didn't mean they had to go their separate ways. I mean hello? Whatever happened to love? The vow, 'till death do us part'? Guess that was all a load of .....
Either way your parents decided to go their separate ways. Your dad moved back to Seoul whilst your mom was to remain in an A A in America. The judge had decided to give custody to your dad so now you too were forced to move back to Seoul... Great.

Your name is Shin Minyoo.
You are a typical quiet girl whose parents are divorced. You rarely ever back-chat and if you do it's only in your head.
You enjoy composing music with your guitar and your favourite bands consist of Secondhand Serenade and Nickelback. You were brought up in America and do not know a lot about k-pop although you are fluent in both Korean and English. Despite moving to Seoul rather than going to school you take up a job in the local bakery. Your parents were never well off especially since your mother decided to spend every last coin earned by your father on the love of her life: Alcohol, working at the bakery whilst your dad takes up a job in a car company will help your father and you find foot in this large city known as Seoul. After all as long as you have your guitar with you then nothing can go wrong...
Him:
His name is Kim Jongin.
Better known as Kai of EXO-K, the dancing machine. The shy, cheeky '' of the group. Loved world-wide by fan girls everywhere this boy might hide behind his palms but deep down inside he LOVES the attention. Closest to Sehun in EXO-K. Kai always wanted to show his talent to the world and SM has provided him with the perfect opportunity. Kai knows no restrictions and if it's one thing he enjoys doing it's bending the rules especially if he's bored and there's nothing to do.

Your next door neighbor and the daughter of your father's boss. She is a massive fan of EXO and Shinee and for her, you, a neighbor from America, is something exotic. Despite being a year younger you manage to develop a strong friendship. Eunyong finds it extremely unbelievable that rather then attending school you work. Never afraid to say what she thinks, Kim Eunyong is one person you can rely on in his new town.

You ran to the door and yanked it open.
"Well?" You asked your dad as he walked into the house soaking wet.
"Your mother has been sent to the A A."
*What? What about me?*
"Custody over you has been given to me. So that means you better ran upstairs and pack your stuff."
"What!?" You blurted out.
"Yep. You're coming with me to Seoul. Our flight leaves in 5 hours so you better hurry."
*I can't just... What... I can't even think...*
"Come on Minyoo.It'll be OK I promise. As soon as your mom comes out from the A A you can return, but until then you have to come with me to Seoul."
You stood there dumbfounded.
*Mom?*
"Don't worry it'll be alright."
*Dad?*
"You'll see you love it there."
