Sohyun’s POV.
Day and night I can’t help thinking about you. I know your just a hand reach from me, but I can’t do anything about it, just stand by your side. Day and night out I want to touch you, hug you, kiss you, but I can’t.
Honestly when we were still trainee’s it was easier. No cameras, no stalking, no watching what your doing. And now, we debuted exactly a year and almost 4 months ago and every day is getting harder and harder. I don’t know how more longer my heart will bear it.
Whenever I see people bashing you for getting the spotlight, my whole blood boils up and I’m afraid what I might do. And I consider it a serious problem, very serious, because I, Kwon Sohyun am in love with my fellow group mate Kim HyunA. I don’t know when that happened, but it did. She makes me smile like an idiot when she does aegyo, she makes my cheeks burn when I see her acting y. It makes my blood boil when I see boys around her or people bashing her.
And now while we are practicing our new choreography I can’t keep my eyes away from her, she looks very distracted and keeps making mistakes.
“HYUNA! FOCUS!” Dance instructor unnie yelled.
“Mianhe unnie“ Hyuna answered bowing.
„HyunA go take some rest, you seem lost all day“
„ok“ HyunA said with her head low, going to sit on the ground next to windows.
„Ok, girls, again from the TOP!“ I kept looking back at HyunA to make sure she‘s ok.
„What‘s up with you guys today?! First HyunA now you Sohyun...Aish~ enough for today, go rest. And I dont want to see the same situation tomorrow!“
„Dae~“ We 4 bowed and HyunA quickly stood up and bowed too.
„HyunA are you okay?“ Jihyun unnie asked lowering herself to HyunA‘s level who was sitting again on the ground.
„Dae~ unnie, I‘m just a bit distracted“ HyunA smiled brushing unnie away.
„Okay, don‘t stay here too long and go to sleep, arraso?“ Unnie asked again.
„Arraso“ HyunA answered still smiling.
But her smile wasn‘t working on me, I can see it all through. She‘s faking it, she‘s been doing the same thing for a while now.
„You‘re going Sohyun..?“ Jiyoon unnie asked as she noticed I‘m not following them.
„Nah, I‘ll keep HyunA company“ I smiles waving them away.
„Sohyun you can go, i‘ll be ok“ HyunA said now standing up.
„Okay~“ I lowered my head feeling sad.
„I‘ll be back soon, don‘t worry“
„Come, let‘s go Sohyun“ Gayoon unnie said, putting my hand around my shoulders.
As we were climbing down the stairs, I knew i won‘t be able to sleep knowing HyunA is still here.
„Unnie‘s, I think I‘ll stay with HyunA“ I said stopping in my track.
„You sure?“ Jihyun unnie asked.
„I‘m sure, besides I know I won‘t be able to sleep knowing HyunA is still here“ I smiled.
„What a good maknae you are!“ Gayoon unnie said messing my hair.
„Unnie!“ I shouted trying to avoid her hand.
„What?“ Unnie giggled.
„Ok go Sohyun, just don‘t stay there too long guys, arraso?“
„Dae, see ya“ I said waving to leaving unnies.
„Bye“ Unnie‘s waved back.
I didn‘t really want to bother HyunA so I stayed in the lobby and waited for her, I knew she wanted to be alone for a bit.
HyunA‘s POV.
I know what is happening to me, but I don‘t know what to do to stop it. The thing is, i realised I like our group maknae more than I should. I wanna do stuff that one friend shouldn‘t do to it‘s friend. So I keep looking at her and thinking what to do about it. Also admiring her.I know I can‘t stop it, I tried, but it wasn‘t very successful. I can‘t talk about it with anyone from our group, because that will change everything. But I know I have to talk to someone. And only person I could think of is Sunye unnie. I quickly pulled out my phone and dealled unnie‘s number. I rang couple of times until it was picked up.
„Hello“ Sunye unnie said in english.
„Unnie, korean, korean“ I giggled.
„Oh mianhe HyunA, it‘s a habit already“ unnie giggled too.
„So what‘s up? I haven‘t talked to you in a while“
„Unnie I have to ask you something...“ I said lowering my voice.
„Is everything ok? I know that tone..“ Unnie swtiched into motherly tone.
„Unnie...if you feel something your not supposed to..what should you do?“
„And what is it that your feel- hey give me the phone back! Yeeun! Back now!“ I heard in the background.
I started giggling.
„HYUNA! HYUNA! HOW ARE YOU? I MISS YOU!“ Yeeun unnie screamed into the phone.
„Unnie don‘t scream“ I laughed
„Oh sorry, i‘m running around the table with Sunye chasing me“ Unnie continued laughing.
„I‘m ok unnie, i miss you too“
Then i heard a loud thumb as if someone falling on the ground.
„Got cha!“ Sunye‘s unnie voice was heard in the background.
„NOT FAIR! YOU JUMPED OVER THE TABLE!“ Yeeun unnie shouted again.
I started laughing, seems like Sunye flew over the table on Yeeun unnie.
„Ok so where were we HyunA?“ Sunye unnie sounded a bit breathless.
„About my love life“ I answered on the instinct.
„Your what?“ Sunye unnie sounded surprised. Oh no, I didn‘t just say that.“Oh, I knew it‘s about that“ I can actually see unnie grinning now.
„Erm..yeah..okay..hmm..so“ I was lost at words.“Hey wait! You knew?! But how?! I didn‘t say anything!“
„Your tone and talking was enough for me“ Unnie stated as a mather of fact.
„Unnie, I need help..“ I said with my eyes getting watery.
„HyunA it‘s ok! Love is never wrong, just follow your heart!“ Unnie answered going into her leader tone with me.
„Unnie...it is wrong...it‘s my bandmate..“
„Sohyun will understand, don‘t worry“
„How do you know it‘s her?!“ I asked surprised.
„I see through you well, I knew what you feel long before you realised you do and was just waiting until you do“ Unnie laughed.
„Unnie, what should i do?“
„Well I think you should tell her and then according to her reaction deal with it“
„Unnie I love you and all, but I don‘t know...“ I said doubting unnie‘s given advice.
„HyunA just trust me“
„Arraso unnie, I hope you knew where your pushing me. Saranghae“ I said actually debating unnie‘s offer.
„I do and I knew it will work out, you might be surprised“ Unnie giggled.
„Unnie..what do you know that I don‘t?“ I feel she knows more than she should.
„Just trust me and do what I said!“ Unnie laughed.
„Ok ok“ I laughed „Bye unnie! Saranghae“
„Nadu! Bye HyunA“
After the phone call I decided not to stay here anymore and go home. As stepped in the lobby i noticed Sohyun sitting there and reading a magazine. I was surprised to see her there so I just stod glued to one place and continued looking at her.
„Oh HyunA. Ready to go home already?“ Sohyun said putting the magazine down and standing up.
„Yeah“ I simply answered.
„Better now?“ Sohyun asked putting her one arm on my shoulder.
„Actually no..I have to tell you something. Sunye unnie said it will be best and that I might be surprised and I trust unnie, but sometimes her advices can be a bit confusing and I hate that...“ I continued rambling.
„HyunA, calm down“ Sohyun laughed. „Just go to the point“
„Okay“
Sohyun came even closer to me, our bodies almost touching. I started to feel even more nervous. I can do it! I can!
„I‘ m distracted because of you! You did all of this to me! All the time you look so pretty, so cute and sometimes even y and it makes me mad and confused and feel bunch of other stuff which i really shouldn‘t supposed to feel to other girl...“ I said in one go, getting breathless and my heart thumbing.
„And i blame my stupid little heart for falling for our group maknae so hard!“ I said now almost crying.
All the way through my rant I didn‘t look up at Sohyun. I think if I did my heart might have stopped. So I stayed like this for who knows how long, long silence fell between us. After a few hours, which i‘m sure were only few minutes I looked up, because I hated this silence. And when I looked up..I saw Sohyun smiling brightly at me with her cheeks bright red.
„Sohyun, are yo“ I got cut off by her soft lips against mines. My mind and mind went completely numb. I couldn‘t control my body anymore, it seemed like it‘s acting on it‘s own. I shut my eyes as hard as i could. And quickly placing my handds on her waist. Wrapping them around her and pushing our bodies closer. When I felt Sohyun moving away, my body instantly felt cold and lips completely numb.
„You know...Your Sunye unnie is really good at this stuff, she can help in love stuff really well“ Sohyun said with a dorky smile.
„Er..wait what?!“
„Oh I talked to Sunye unnie a while ago and she said she will work something out“ She giggled. „And just now I got a text messege from her saying „Mission accomplished““
As she said that she practically jumped on me and hugged me tightly, I stumbled a bit and hit a sofa behind me, landing right on it and Sohyun on top of me. My cheeks started burning even more than it did before after I realised in what possition we were, if someone walked in now...
„Saranghae“ Sohyun unnie whispered into my ear as her head was burried into my shoulder.
I smiled, feeling very happy and finally not confused or distracted anymore. I can‘t believe it was so easy. I should have talked to Sunye unnie sooner. Have to remember to thank her.
„Sohyun, you know i love the possition we are now in, but we have to go home or Jihyun unnie is gonna kill us..“ I said without moving. Sohyun quickly jumped off me.
„Oh right!“ She said, reaching for my hand and helping me up. „Lets go home“ Sohyun smiled and didn‘t let go of my hand. We walked all the way home holding hands.
