Don’t fall. Don’t fall. Don’t even look below.

Not listening to myself, I peeked over and almost slipped on the rope I was standing on. Yes, I was standing on just a thin piece of rope with only a long pole to balance me just like those amazing acrobat people.

Please, I’m no acrobat and besides had anyone one of them ever had to walk over an acid and monster infested place? The smell wasn’t helping either.

I wasn't  the only one on the rope though; there was my opponent too, Daehyun. I think he was much more terrified than me as the pole he was holding was shaking vigorously. His face was a little off colour.

Well, that was easy, probably shouting ‘Boo!’ would totally set him off. But no cheap tricks for me, I was just gonna go through with it.

The shrill beep of the timer sounded. I got ready to take a step and looked directly at him. He was already taking a step, which swayed the rope a little. With the shoes I was wearing, it only helped a little, but one big slip and you were a goner.

The rules of the game were simple, get your opponent of the rope first and you win. You fall yourself because you slipped, well, you would have to suffer burns and scratches if you were lucky enough to survive the pit below.

No powers were allowed during this game. Stability was of course the most important thing.

Daehyun was getting closer and closer while I just stood in my place, waiting for the right moment to push him off balance.

Suddenly he stopped and a peculiar look was on his face. He cocked his head to the side and looked at me closely like examining a bug.

“What are you looking at?” I asked, feeling a little annoyed because he kept on staring.

“Hey, weren't you the one who killed my brother?” he blurted out.
