The Academy
Description
V.I., D-Lite, and T.O.P are the newest trainees at The Academy; an institution designed to train soldiers for the impending war. They train both body and mind while the scientists track their progress and wait for their ability to appear. This life is all the trainees know. They remember nothing before waking up in the lab; and no one until V.I. has ever questioned it.
V.I., D-Lite, and T.O.P have a connection; something that draws them together and sets them apart from their follow trainees. They search for answers, translate visions, and dodge bullies, but they end up only with more questions. Then they meet Sol who introduces them to G.D, a fellow trainee who knows more about them and about The Academy then he is willing to tell. But he holds the secret to their pasts and the key to escaping the prison they didn’t even know they were trapped in.
This story is very loosely based on BigBang’s MV for Fanastic Baby. It started out as just a simple story based off it, but I can’t seem to do simple. It slowly became much longer than I originally planned. So, here is what I’ve been able to write so far.
I hope you’re able to enjoy this story. Thank you for reading! Please leave me a comment! Constructive criticism is always welcome!

Foreword
“They are the perfect specimens.”
The words were whispered softly and left lips with a puff of warm breath into the frosty air. The person that spoke wore a heavy parka over her lab coat. She wore specially insulated goggles over her glasses to keep the lenses from freezing and cracking. The storage room was kept at a temperature below freezing. Although the storage pods before her each had their own individual freezing system, the room was kept at a similar degree to ensure the storage containers worked correctly.
Before her, in separate, sealed, frozen cylinders were the five young men she had desperately wanted to get her hands on. She walked before them and gazed at each face in turn. They were frozen, the glass itself had collected bit of frost and thus it made it difficult to clearly see what was inside. Unless you already knew what the container held.
She knew. She knew these boys. She had collected data and studied them for so long, she wouldn’t be surprised if she knew them better than they knew themselves. Even though the frost obscured her vision and the oxygen masks covered most of their faces, she could name each of them. They would have to be renamed of course. They’d be given code names to use here. All traces of their old life would need to be left behind and that included erasing their memories. Physically, they would change as well. The serum would cause some alterations, as would the intensive training they would be put through. Mentally, they wouldn’t be all that different. The majority of the specimens she currently observed showed no changes in their personality after their memories were erased.
As she imagined what these boys would become under her supervision, the scientist smirked, one corner of curling upward. The simple movement distorted her beauty and for a moment, the darkness she normally kept hidden was evident on her face.
“I can’t wait to see what fantastic creations you become.”
