Poseidon

Two Coins

The man whom he was staring, was Poseidon. Poseidon smiled at the sight of an acquaintance.

Poseidon: “Hello Zachari my boy, it’s been a long time.”

Zac: “I don’t’ know who you are, but how’d you know my name?”

Poseidon: “Well it’s been quite some time since I last saw you, 8 human years if I’m correct.”

“My birthday.” Zac said in a whisper.

Poseidon: “Ah yes my boy you remembered! Thanks for the reminder; a gathering at the beach.”

Zac: “My seventh birthday.”

Poseidon: “Yes, yes, those were great years. Years I saw a boy, a young warrior but now I only see a coward, how shameful.”

Zac: “I’m no coward!”

Poseidon: “Oh yes you are boy, running away from the truth that dear Maria told you.”

Zac: “You know her?”

Poseidon: “Well of course. But for now young one you have to go. You can’t stay soaked in water, your body might give up and would cause you to be sick. But always remember this: face the horrific truth in life.”

Poseidon’s body began to turn into water and Zac was left along standing in the rain. Left with unanswered questions.

Maria: “Zac!”
