A week has passed since that day.Nothing much happened during that week. The wind blew

normally but it was silent. It rained one day but it felt like it rained the whole week. The sky

looked sunny but it felt gloomy. Hence, the week passed quickly but sorrow pierced someone.

Added to that, midterms were right along the corner. Students were getting nervous,

especially for one girl. As usual, she maked her friends nervous for school like today.

She went to a classroom to look for her friend. She looked around and found her looking at

the window. The girl's eyes was in deep concentration but was filled with grief. She walked quietly

without her knowing and surprised her at her desk.

Seohyun: Fany! 

The girl turned and looked. She smiled slightly.

Tiffany: What's up?

Seohyun noticed Tiffany's odd mood.

Seohyun: Why so gloomy?

Tiffany: Am I? (Trying to avoid the question) So, what brings you here?

Seohyun: Oh right! Well, I was wondering if you can borrow you calculus book for the day. I forgot

mine at home and I can not go get it since if I go, I might miss part of the lecture and if I miss,

part of the lecture, I will fall behind and if I fall behind, my midterm grade will...(nervous state)

Tiffany: (Stops her) Seohyun, here. (Pass her book) Take it. 

Seohyun: OMG. Thank you. You are a life saver!

Seohyun was about to take the book but someone stopped her.

Yonghwa: It is okay Tiffany. I will lend mine to her. After all, this is what boyfriends do right to

their lovely and cute girlfriends.

He smiled charmingly at Seohyun. She blushed.

Seohyun: Stop it. (Hits him lightly)

Yonghwa: (Smiles) You are a pretty girl and you are mine.

Whil they both chatter and giggled together, Tiffany looked away and continues thinking. Thinking

what to do. Suddenly, a girl broke the couple apart with irritation.

Taeyeon: Ya! Go lovey dovey somewhere else. Or else!

Scared, they ran away quickly like the wind. Taeyeon turned her sight to Tiffany. She sat next to 

her and comfort her.

Taeyeon: So how are you?

Tiffany: (Looks at her) You know my answer. Why ask.

Taeyeon: Sorry. Just did not know what to say.

Tiffany: Its okay. I am sorrry too. Just stressed right now.

Taeyeon: I know. Seohyun with her school stuff. 

Tiffany: Something else too. 

Taeyeon: Talk to him yet?

Tiffany: I don't think I can anymore. 

Taeyeon: Why? Didn't you say you will definitely talk to him and fix this.

Tiffany: I was but it has been a week. A week of trying to talk to him. But he kept ignoring me.

Like, one day I was walking in the hallway and I saw him. So I went to talk to him but he saw me 

and left with his head down. I guess I am giving up.

Tiffany lowered her head on the table, a tear dropped. Taeyeon felt sad for her. As her bestfriend, 

she will follow her step but, as a good person, she has to help her do the right thing.

Taeyeon: You know I cannot stand having two friend that will not be able to talk to each other. I

know you will hate that too. Worse, you will be loosing that person. As an advice, be brave and 

take him back as what you want him to be. I know you miss him.

Tiffany: I guess...

She looked at the gloomy sky. A cloud that looked like her mom appeared.

Tiffany: (Whispers) I guess you will want me to do that too...

 

During break time, Tiffany had to go to the restroom. She quickly went before breaks end. On the way,

she saw him. He was leaving the restroom. Their eyes met. He lowered his head again. Hurt, she felt.

She immediatly thoought of what to do. She knew that she has to do it. She needs to talk to him, before

their bond breaks. 

Tiffany: Hey Wooyoung? 

Wooyoung: (Surprised) Yeah...

Tiffany: (His voice, he answered) I need to talk to you. 

Wooyoung: I don't think I want too...

Tiffany: (Hurt) Please just let me. I need to. Meet me in the library. Ususal place after lunch. I will be there

even if you decide not to come. But, please come. 

Immediately then, Tiffany walked in the restroom. Wooyoung looked at the event. He thought. Fustration 

went throught his mind but greatly, misery hit him. He turned around and went to class thinking what to do.

In the restroom, Tiffany looked at the mirror. Her eyes filled with water again.

Tiffany: I cry to much. 

She wipped her tears.

Tiffany: But I will do this.

 

Lunchtime came quickly. At the usual spot, the girls were chatting and eating. But, for one girl, she just sat

there and ate thinking about what words to say later. When she finished eating, she left quietly without her

friends knowing. She didn't want them to know since she didn't want to bother them about this. She has to do

it by herself this time. As she left to go to the library, the gang finished eating. They were about to go outside

and play a round of volleyball but noticed a missing friend.

Yuri: Where is Pany?

Taeyeon: She went to fix something. 

Yoona: What? How can she miss her favorite game!

Taeyeon: YA! Just let her go. In the meantime, you should focus how to win against me instead.

Yuri and Yoona: YA YOU!!

Taeyeon: (Good luck)

 

In the library, she waited at the spot. The spot she and him usually hangs in the library and where he helped

her with her homework and studies. He helped her a lot. One reason why she cannot loose him. She looked at 

the clock. Fifthteen minutes went by. She sigh. She then noticed a book on a book shelf. She looked at it and

it took her attention.

Tiffany: This book.

This book was the book Wooyoung and Tiffany loved. Books were the thing that they had in common. She 

looked at the pages to remind her of the story. She loved the story but hated the ending. Tragic ending where

the main protagonist and his love ones betrayed him. Bonds broke at the end of the story and she hated that.

Tiffany: Another reason huh...

Then, a shadow was behind her. She noticed it and turned around. She knew who it was. She smiles.

Tiffany: You came.

Wooyoung noticed her smile. He looked down again trying to avoid this feeling again. Tiffany looked and 

felt sad again. 

Wooyoung: So, what do you want.

Tiffany: We need to talk.

Wooyoung: What for.

Tiffany: You know what. 

Wooyoung: I don't have anything to talk about.

Tiffany: (fustrated) Then listen. I hate what we are now. Not talking to each other or even not looking at

each other. I hate that we are not like before. Laughing, joking and smiling together. I miss that.That comfort.

That friend. The friend that I love playing around with and sharing things I like with him. Like this book.

(Shows him the book) You know this story. I hate the ending but I like the story tough. The bonds the 

characters had in the beginning are so heart touching, but the ending, so heart breaking. I do not want

to live like this. 

Tears dropped in her eyes again. Wooyoung noticed and felt guilt. He hated her crying and this was

because of him. He hated hurting her even if it hurts him. He walked closed to her and embraced her

in his arms. She cried more.

Tiffany: I am sorry of what I did. I never wanted to hurt you. Even if it hurts you and you may not want

this, I don't want to loose you as a friend. 

Wooyoung: (Tears drops too) I am sorry too. I never intend to do this. Hurt you was the last thing

I will do to you. Selfishly, I did this. 

Tiffany: No. This was not a selfish act. I understand what you did and I am sorry that the answer

wasn't the answer you wanted. 

Wooyoung: I understand..

Tiffany broke the hug and they both looked at each other. 

Tiffany: I love you and will always will. 

Wooyoung: Not like that tough.

Tiffany: I am sorry. Forgive me.

Wooyoung: (Sigh) I guess I rather not loose you than love you.

Tiffany: Thank you. 

She hugged him. 

Wooyoung: But keep in mind. I will always be by your side. Always.

Tiffany:(nobs) (Finally...)

 

The bell rang. They both went out the library to go to class. Closely toghether, they looked at each other

and smiled.

Wooyoung: I guess things will change between us.

Tiffany: I don't know but, for me, things will always remains the same between us.

Wooyoung: (Smiles)

Tiffany: By the way, can you help me for my calculus midterm. (Smiles) 

Wooyoung: (Sighs) Yup things haven't changed.
