Chapter 7 - SooJin's Day
The countrygirl's regretI sat with Eli at the park as I his hair, comforting him. He looked at me mournfully and I could see him in pain. Poor Eli. I reached out and hug him lightly, feeling him tense and relaz in my embrace.
"Soojin, Thankyou." he croaked. I smiled at him as he continued to sit there motionlessly. Drip drop. It started to rain. Eli seemed too lost in his thoughts to care. I felt so sorry for him. My heart cringed at the look of him so helpless. After what seemed like ages, Eli looked up fromhis hands and said," Let's go. The others will be waiting." I stood up and followed uqietly behind him. MaeRi rushed forward the moment we reached the beach. "I'm sorr-",she began. Eli gave her a hard look and stormed off. I looked around.
Everyone was eating and finding shelter now. I made my way slowly to a corner and sat there, looking at the waves, shivering from the cold. As I saw pretty starsbeginning todot the sky again, I heard Eli call me. "SooJin let's go, it's late."
On the way back, Eli didn't say anything. I sat quietly in my seat, feeling a few of my finger turn numb from the cold. I shivered slightly but Eli seemed not to notice. He dropped me off at my door and left without a word.
Inside, I gratefully took a warm bath and slipp under the covers. There was school tomorrow and I didn't want to be late. I slept peacefully but something bothered mr. It wasn't Soohyun oppa who starred in my dreams but it was Eli.
