"Pretty right? Mom bought this for me."
"The color really suits you, Ssul."
"Where's Jongin?"
"No match! I think you should practice more."
"Whatever, man. I'm hungry."
"Hey where are you going!?"
"Did you call Kris?"
== kitchen ==
"Kyungsoo, can you help me with this?"
"Sure."
"Wow that looks delicious!"
"Get the heck away from here! We're not done yet!"
"Okay! Okay!"
On the other side of the penthouse, Jongin was in his own little world,
getting all cozy on the couch watching the breathtaking view of Seoul.
Somehow, he kept on coming back to this place, though his memories here were nothing but bittersweet.
He quickly shooed the thoughts away, puts an earpiece on his ears and played with his iPad.
Truth is, he was really tired and was feeling a bit feverish.
He and the boys made a last minute grocery shopping
while the girls and Kyungsoo were busy preparing for the year end party.
After that, he promised not to go to the grocery ever again.
"Hey.. mind if i sit?" the brunette asked Jongin.
Realizing that he couldn't hear her, she gently tapped his shoulder and pointed at the space beside him.
Jongin nodded his head.
"Feeling sick?" She asked, looking at him with worry.
Jongin nodded his head.
"Have you taken any medicine yet?" She placed the back of her palm on his neck, checking on his temperature.
Jongin just nodded his head once again
"Can't you talk? I feel like I'm talking to a mute here." She uttered in disbelief.
Jongin pretended like he didn't hear her and continued playing with his iPad.
She sighed in frustration, almost wanting to leave.. but she couldn't.
After all, they're best friends..
Little did they know, their friends are watching them from a distance,
getting all excited about what might happen next.
Sehun shook his head "Jongin can really be annoying at times."
"He is." Luhan nodded while taking a bite on Sehun's chocolate.
"Mood swings." Xiumin added, and the two nodded in unison.
"C'mon guys! He's just sick, that's all." Suho muttered in Jongin's defense.
Chanyeol grinned, "Wanna bet?"
Luna looked at him curiously, "Penny for your thoughts?"
"Soojung will leave him in a minute or two." He answered.
Sehun took a bite on his chocolate, "Yeah, I think so too. They're both hot tempered, anyway."
"She won't." Sulli snapped back, not taking her eyes away from the twosome.
"Then give me one good reason why not, Ms. Choi?" retorted Chanyeol.
"Easy, she loves him." she answered.
"I love you too, though? Because we're friends.." he answered, obviously not getting the point.
Sulli just glared at Chanyeol, "More than that!"
"Yaaah! Just shut up, okay? You're not making any sense!" Baekhyun flicked him.
"Then why did she dumped him?" asked the always confuse Lay.
Luna bit her lip, finally understanding what Sulli's trying to say, "Because she's scared.."
The door suddenly opened, revealing Amber together with Kris and Chen, "Hey guys! How's the show?",
and the rest just glared at her, "Oops, sorry."
Kris puts his arm on Baekhyun's shoulder, "Any progress?", the latter just shook his head.
"Soojung is spacing out." said Amber as she finally got a glimpse of the scene.
Soojung glared at Jongin, trying hard not to smack him in the face.
Thank goodness he's sick or else he might get what he's asking for.
She grabbed a pillow on the other side of the couch and placed it on her lap.
Jongin automatically rested his head on the pillow.
They need not to speak to understand each other.
After all, they're best friends..
Carefully studying his face, her face suddenly softened.
"Remember this place?", tears suddenly fell down on Jongin's eyes but he quickly
brushed it away with the back of his hand.
She froze in a moment, obviously not expecting this.
"I might.. end up confessing again.. that's why I'm trying my best not to talk." he mumbled, still clutching on his iPad.
Soojung's heart crashed into bits as her hand made its way to his face.
Jongin turned off his iPad and chuckled, "You're such an evil witch, you know that?"
Then he grabbed her hand from his face, cuddled it up to his chest like a little kid
and kissed it, "Just kidding. I still love you.. and I always will.. even though I know you can never be mine."
Then it finally hit her.
Maybe... just maybe.. they could give it a try?
She never once doubted her feelings for Jongin.
She was just... scared.
After all, they're best friends..
Soojung was watching Jongin in his sleep.
He was still cuddling on her hand, never wanting to let go.
His face looked so peaceful, she thought.
She wished they could stay like this forever.
Victoria clapped her hands excitedly, "Dinner is ready!"
Jongin woke up from a loud noise coming from the dining area.
He opened his eyes and was surprised to see Soojung face to face with him.
She was only centimeters away from his face, smiling at him cutely.
"You're awake." She muttered while pinching his nose.
"Am I dreaming?" he mumbled, blinking his eyes for a few times.
Soojung leaned forward and brushed her lips on his, "You're not."
