Gone for good
It's been 3 weeks since Kim Soomin entered Seoul National University, taking a language course as her major. She's adjusting to the new environment, and no doubt that she is very happy to be in that university. Meeting new people and making new friends. She thought that being a college student would be a hell. Well, not really for a freshman.
The bell rings signifying that it's lunch time.
"Okay, that's for today class. Please don't forget to submit two page of essay regarding to our new topic today. To be passed next meeting, okay you all may go," the professor dismissed.
Soomin stood up and arranged her things and stuffed it inside her bag. She turned to Ririn her best friend who is in a same course as her.
"Are you ready Rin?" Soomin asked.
"Wait, I can't find amber!" she dug through her things.
Soomin found Amber on the floor and picked it up.
"Rin, here's Amber. You dropped her on the floor," Soomin handed the pencil case to her.
"There you are!" Rin took it from her and thanked her.
Rin has a habit on naming things. Soomin find it really cute because it's rare knowing people naming their things. Some people might find it weird but to Soomin it's cute and respects Rin for that.
"Come on Rin, I bet Hyunki is dying while waiting for us downstairs," the two headed outside as Rin slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Why does she have a weird schedule? 3 hours break? You've got to be kidding me," Rin shook her head.
Soomin shrugged, "That's what their director gave to them." Rin nodded.
The two finally reached the cafeteria, Soomin opened the door and looked around if there's any sign of Hyunki.
Rin suddenly waved and Soomin followed her gaze. Soomin waved also. The two girls came to Hyunki’s table and put their bags on the seats.
"My schedule is.... ugh!" Hyunki bumped her head on the table, but not that hard. Ririn sat beside her and patted her back.
"That's life, you will love it soon," Soomin gave her a sweet smile. Hyunki smiled back.
"Oh!" Hyunki shot up.
"Why? What's wrong?" Soomin asked.
"Luhan sunbae was here earlier, he sat on that table," Hyunki pointed to the next table near to them.
Soomin shook it off.
"I don't have a crush on him anymore," Soomin took out her wallet from her bag.
"Oh... yeah. I forgot," Hyunki nodded.
Soomin stood up and took off her coat.
"Have you eaten lunch?" Soomin asked to Hyunki.
"Yes, you two go ahead and buy your food I'll look over to your bags."
Soomin and Ririn went to the counter. They both look through the board to choose what to eat for lunch.
"Soomin, what do you like to eat?" Rin asked as she skimmed the board and looked through the foods that were prepared in front of them.
"I don't know yet. I'll go on the other side to find something to eat, okay?" Rin nodded.
Soomin walked through the foods as she passed by. As she walked, she didn't notice that someone was coming on her way as the person looked through the foods also.
Soomin bumped into someone that make her came back to her senses.
"Sorry!" they both apologized.
Soomin lift her head and saw the boy's face.
"I'm sorry," the boy said again.
"No no, it's okay. I was the one who wasn't looking," the boy smiled at her. That smile of his makes Soomin’s heart stopped. She didn’t know why.
"Yah! Bacon, have you choose what you want to eat? Or we could just go at the cafe?" a tall, tanned guy called.
"Yeah, let's go there. Can't find anything here," the boy replied.
Before the boy go he apologized once again, bowed to her and then he ran off. Soomin watched him running to his friends and got out of the cafeteria.
*He's the cute boy that I saw during the orientation. I didn't expect to bumped into him.*Soomin thought.
Soomin put her hand on her chest and feel her heart beats.
*But why my heart suddenly stopped when he smiled at me?*
"Soomin," Rin called.
Soomin turned around.
"I saw your favorite food! You should get that instead," Soomin nodded and went to Rin.
Since the day that Soomin saw that guy, every other day or like two times a day she always seeing that boy around the campus or in the building.
Because of that, Soomin was expecting to see him every day. It's been 3 weeks since Kim Soomin entered Seoul National University, taking a language course as her major.
