Ilhoon threw his hands up in the air and cried, "Whoa, I was just kidding, don't need to get so mad!"

I threw my shoes to the corner of the room and threw myself onto his bed. It was just like old times. Ilhoon gave me a weird look, "No, seriously, you rarely look for me and BAM! Here you are in my room.. Is something wrong? Is it that peniel guy? If it is, I am gonna shove my sweaty socks up his nose and slap him with a fish!!".

I couldn't help but burst into laughter. It's been a year and Ilhoon's still the same. I shook my head and said, "What are you? Some mafia gangster now?"

He grabbed a two sticks of lollipops from his drawer and threw one at me, "Cola! You're favorite!"

Immediately, I sat up and beamed in delight. I opened the wrapper and onto the lollipop like a little child. Ilhoon's gaze softened at the sight and dishevelled my hair. I looked up with wide eyes. "What's that all about?" I asked.

"You're just really adorable.." he sighed dreamily. I kicked his legs and grumbled, "I have a problem."

Ilhoon leaned closer with keen interest, "What is it?"

I fiddled with my fingers and whispered, "I think I'm in love.."

Ilhoon's face remained stiff but his heart was crumbling into a million pieces. She likes someone.. No, she's in love. With who? Sigh, there goes my first love....

I looked at Ilhoon and waved my hands in front of his face, "Yoohoo! Aren't you gonna ask me who it is?"

Ilhoon gulped, "I think I already know. It's Peniel isn't it?"

A slight blush crept up my face, "Is it that obvious?"

Ilhoon nodded and crossed his arms. "So, what's the problem with falling in love?"

I kicked back and relaxed against the comfy pillows. I couldn't quite put my tongue on it, but something told me that loving Peniel would be a risk. Maybe it was because he was rich? We had different social statuses. I'm an ex convict and he's.... a bloody rich kid. At that thought, I heaved a huge sigh of sadness. "It's... Impossible." I muttered.

Ilhoon seemed to have read me like an open book. He quickly snapped, "Ya! Where's the JaeIn who was full of belief for love? I remember when we were younger, you had a crush on this guy, what's his name again... Ah.. Lee Kiseop! He was the richest in our village, but he was a spoilt brat too. I told you to give up, but you didn't. Instead, you sent him a piece of chocolate with a letter everyday. You didn't give up on love, even though you knew it was hardly possible for Kiseop to like you. I mean, come on. We all knew that he liked Ara.."

I threw a pillow at Ilhoon and rolled my eyes, "Gee. Thanks for the prep talk."

Not long, I heard faint calls for my name from my house. I quickly got up and wore my shoes. "Shoot! I have to go now! See ya tomorrow buddy!"

Ilhoon waved at me as I made my way out from the window.

"Uncle, where are you taking me?" I whined as he pushed me out of the house. Peniel stood by the lamp post, with hands sunk into his pockets. I snorted, "What's he doing here too?"

"Bring her back by midnight! Don't have such a wild night!" Uncle Jin teased.

"Thanks uncle!" Peniel smiled as he grabbed my hand and walked off.

I looked at the two of them suspiciously. "Since when do you call my uncle 'uncle'? And, where the heck are we going?"

"That's for me to know and for you to find out later!"

I flashed him a baffled look and followed him anyway.
