The One Who Breaks Her Facade Part 2/2

The One Who Breaks Her Facade

~~~~Jin Ae's POV~~~~
       Yesung led me into the backroom of the café while his mother and his brother took care of the fangirls. He faced me and grabbed my hand hesitantly, releasing the empty cup of latte from my grasp and threw it into the trashcan. He took the heavy bags off my arms, revealing the angry red marks caused by them. He placed them on a table and guided me to a chair in the corner, gesturing me to sit on it. I complied but didn’t speak a word the entire time.
      “Stay here, okay? I’ll be right back.” His melodious voice made my heart beat faster than usual yet all Yesung received as a reply was silence.  Yesung stared at me for a second, wondering if it was okay to leave me here or if I will run away, before entering another room on the right which I assumed would be the bathroom.
      He came back out minutes later, clad in a new white t-shirt with a little turtle animation printed on it which I couldn’t help but find cute, and found me in the same position that I was in before he had left. He didn’t know if he was supposed to be glad that I didn’t leave or saddened by the fact that I hadn’t moved.
      I had heard him came out from the bathroom but decided to look away as I felt nervous and did not know what to do when I was in a room alone with someone who was an idol. Suddenly, a black hoodie appeared in front of my eyes and I finally lifted my head to look at Yesung. He smiled brightly, happy that I responded.
      “Here’s a hoodie. You can change into it in the bathroom over there.”
      “Um…”
      “It’s okay. You can borrow it. Besides, I don’t think that you would want to go out there with that big stain on your shirt.”
       “Thanks…”
       Yesung let a sweet smile spread across his face again as I took the article of clothing before guiding me towards the room that he had went into. In there, I got rid of my stained shirt and put on Yesung’s hoodie. I was then engulfed by the scent on the shirt. The aroma was like cinnamon mixed with a bit of coffee. I puffed out my cheeks, a habit I often did when I was nervous, and tried to calm myself down before opening the door with my ruined shirt in my hands.
       Yesung’s eyes shone with happiness when he saw me in his hoodie and walked towards me. I filched, my heartbeat accelerating, when he reached around me and fixed my hair which had been covered by the hoodie when I had put it on. I blushed lightly and turned my head away. He seemed to notice my discomfort and removed his hands.
       “Sorry…Uh….I just wanted to….Um…This is awkward…” His cheeks flushed and he lowered his head to hide his red face as he scratched the back of his neck nervously. He had just done it without thinking and now he wanted to slap himself in the face.
      “It’s okay...” I gave him a small smile to assure him that I didn’t mind.
      “It’s nice to meet you! I’m Kim Jongwoon or you could call me Yesung if you want!” Yesung introduced himself cheerfully as he tried to lift up the atmosphere, even though I already knew who he was, and extended his hand forward.
       I just stared at his hand awkwardly, wondering if I should shake his hand. Yesung gave me a beaming smile and nodded towards his hand, encouraging me to shake it. I finally reached my hand out and grabbed the hand that was offered to me, shaking it.
      “And what is your name?”
      “My----“I was interrupted by the beeping of my watch.
      I glanced at the watch on my wrist and panicked. It was 1 o’clock! I was supposed to be home an hour ago and my mother must be so worried right now. I quickly darted towards the table where Yesung had placed my bags and hurriedly gathered my things.
      “Sorry! But, I have to go right now! Thank you again for the hoodie and I’m sorry for spilling my latte on you. I’ll return the hoodie after I wash it!” I said hastily as I waved goodbye before exiting the backroom and strangely made it out of the café.
       “W-wait!”  Yesung was startled and immediately ran after me, only to see my retreating back as I fled out of the café, before being surrounded by an army of his fans.  “I didn’t even get the chance to know what her name was….”
~~~~Third Person's POV~~~~

       It was currently school and work time so there weren’t many customers, just a couple of old citizens, in Handel and Gretel. Yesung drifted off as he thought about the girl that he had encountered yesterday. Somehow, he couldn’t get his mind off of her. He thought back to her blushing face and smile unconsciously. Her features were engraved in his mind. She was looking at her feet when he had walked near her, shifting her weight back and forth, with her chubby cheeks flushed. Her face had glowed like an angel when she had smiled, even though it was just a little smile. The girl’s voice had been soft and sweet; it was like a melody to his ears. He was so into his thoughts that he didn’t even noticed when the door bell rang, signaling the arrival of a customer.

~~~~Jin Ae's POV~~~~
      I pushed open the door ajar slightly and poked my head in. I chuckled quietly as I noticed that Yesung was not even paying attention to his surroundings. I suddenly couldn’t resist the urge to surprise him which was shocking to me. I felt warm and safe around him like I could show him the other side of me that I had locked inside myself and I had just met him yesterday. I sneakily tiptoed towards the counter, making sure that Yesung didn’t see me.  I got to the back of the counter where Yesung was and stood behind him, Yesung still oblivious to my presence. I lifted up my hands and clasped my hands over his eyes, covering them.
      “What---?” He quickly grabbed my hands, lifting them off his eyes, and spun around to face me.
      I laughed heartily which was something I haven’t done in a long time as he blinked his eyes slowly, wondering why I was here. He then noticed that he was holding onto my hands and let them go as his cheeks got red. Somehow, I managed to trip on my own two feet when I tried to back up from him and stumbled into Yesung’s open arms, his arms enclosing around me automatically.
      My heart fluttered as I removed my face from his chest and stared up at him. Yesung found himself staring into a pair of chestnut brown eyes which were also gazing into his dark chocolate orbs. The warmth radiating from his body took my breath away and we stared at each other for what seemed like forever until I accidentally knocked my hand against the counter when I tried to lift it up, breaking our eye connection. I didn’t know when I started being a klutz.
      “Yah…are you okay? Did you get hurt?”
      “Neh. I’m fine. Even though, my hand is kind of throbbing a bit.” I smiled sheepishly as I rubbed my hand.
      He gently grasped my hand and intertwined our hands. “Does it still hurt now?”
      I blushed and bit my lips as I tried to conceal the smile that was threatening to break out. Then, I remembered what I was here for. “Oh! Here!”
      I untangled our hands to open the messenger bag that I had brought along with me. Yesung frowned at the sudden loss of warmth in his hands but regained his smile when I retrieve his hoodie from my bag.
      “Your hoodie is here! Fresh and clean! I washed it myself personally too! ”
       Yesung took the neatly folded hoodie from my hands and laced his fingers with mines again. A gentle smile appeared on his face and you couldn’t help but smile along with him.
     “So, what the fans say is true.”
      “Eh?”
      “Your hands really are small. They’re almost smaller than mines.”
      “What? My hands are average-sized!” Yesung said, pretending to be hurt by putting his other hand on his chest, while I just laughed at him.
      Yesung soon joined me as he began to laugh too. However, he stopped all of a sudden and stared into my eyes. I felt nervous all of the sudden. Yesung’s free hand reached up to my face to brush the strands of hair away from my face and placed it behind my ear. I felt Yesung’s warm hand on my cheek and he tugged me closer to me. I could feel his breath tickling my lips and I gulped as I stared into his mesmerizing eyes. One of his hands was intertwined with mine, his thumb rubbing circles on the back of my hand soothingly, as his other caressed my face. I wasn’t sure what I should do so I followed my instincts which told me to just stay still. My heart pounded against my ribcage as Yesung leaned towards me. My eyes fluttered close and I lifted my head up. Our lips brushed against each other for about two seconds, electricity travelling through our body and stopping at our lips, before---
       “Ahem!”
      We separated from each other in a flash as we saw Jongjin, a deep shade of red developing across our cheeks.
      “So…Did you guys have fun?” Jongin teased, “Don’t worry. I’m leaving right now. I just came to get something.”
      I bit my lips nervously and stole a glance at Yesung as Jongjin left. We both let out an awkward and shy smile to each other before Yesung reached his hand over and held my hand in his prison again, our fingers interlaced. He placed an arm around me and pulled me close to him again, embracing me tightly in a hug.
      “So…I never did get the chance to know what your name is…”
      “It’s Jin Ae.”
      “Have anyone ever told you that you have a beautiful name and it’s almost as beautiful as you.”
      My heart started to beat uncontrollably again as he pressed his soft lips on the top of my head. I shut my eyes and just enjoyed his presence, his cinnamon/coffee scent swallowing me. Maybe, Yesung would the one to break down my façade. Although, I think that he already did.
