PART I:

Chu-Ok on the hospital bed slowly opened her eyes, she looked around, and sun rays that were bleeding through the curtains were hurting her eyes. After she got used to the sun's glow she slowly got up. Her silky hair falling onto her lap, she confusedly looked at her hair, was her hair this long? As she was looking at her hair, her eyes wondered to the bed she was on, then to her arms. She looked at the IV that was in her arm, she was in a hospital. She was lost; she couldn't remember why she was in a hospital. A sharp pain went to the temples of her head; she quickly gripped the sides of her head trying to get rid of the pain. When she stopped thinking, the pain eased down. Chu-Ok was scared and lost, panic took over her body, and she felt as if she wasn't supposed to be here. She pulled her blanket over and moved her feet to the cold hospital floor, she stumbled to the ground. She then saw little tubes everywhere on her body, she began to pull them out, and lastly she pulled out her IV in her arm. She stopped for a moment panting, her panic fading away slowly, she finally noticed a name tag on her wrist. She turned it over to the writing,

Chu-Ok,
25 years of age, Birth date: June 4th, Coma patient of 5 years, Patient code25306938859
.

It finally hit her that she didn't even know her own name, tears from her light brown eyes started to slowly flow down her cheeks. She didn't know why there were tears but when she read her name there was great pain in her chest. She felt like screaming but something inside her told her to get up and run, so she got up slowly holding onto anything supportive and walked to the door. When she was out the door, she gripped the wall handles for support; she took a couple of steps then stopped when she saw a mirror. She looked at herself; she remembered seeing this face in her sleep, eyes that were a shade of light brown, eye lashes thick and long, lips that were a light shade of pink, skin white and pale, nose that was bridged, and cheeks that were an also a light shade of pink. Chu-Ok looked away, because she started to feel pain, she walked away slowly gripping tighter on to the handles. She turned the corner and she stopped, she looked at a man that stood out more than anyone, he wore a white cloak and had a clipboard tucked under one arm and chatting to other people around him. She looked, without moving an inch. He had a face of an angel, laugh of a gentleman, and sparkle in his eyes every time he talked. Chu-Ok's heart pounded rapidly against her chest as if it wanted to rip her apart. But as that was happening pain in her temples started to come back, something was telling her something like a little whisper,

"Run pabo!, Don't let him see you, Don't let him see us!"
but a more powerful voice took over;
"Don't! Kunun tangshinui aein!(He's your lover!)".

"Aein?(Lover?) Mine?" Chu-Ok whispered to herself.

'Why does he look familiar? Why does this look familiar? Why does this hospital look familiar? Why does nothing makes sense to me?!' Chu-Ok screamed in her head.

When she stopped thinking about everything her feet slowly moved away from the wall, walking by her.

"Why do I want to smile with you but feel like I shouldn't? Why does my heart feel so sad? Why do I want to call out your name?" Chu-Ok said in a whisper.

She stopped and grabbed her chest, Chu-Ok felt a stronger pain in her head and chest now. Flashes of pictures played through her head over and over again. She squeezed her eyes shut and grabbed her head as the painful pictures played throughout her head. She gasped for air when it stopped, her breathing was heavy now, and she felt like she was running out of breath. But she kept walking slowly to the angelic man, wanting to know what this feeling she had for him was, what it meant to him and her. She was only a few feet away from him. She reached out but had a sudden flashback.

---Flashback---

"Oppa! Stop it!" Chu-Ok said giggling.
"Nope, not until you put the cooking spoon away and get back in the room with me." The angelic man said tickling her.
"Araso, Araso but only today, Araji?!" Chu-Ok said laughing. "Yes Ma'am!" he said and peck her in the cheek.

Chu-Ok smiled, turned the stove off and put the cooking spoon in the sink.
The angelic man didn't wait for Chu-Ok to turn and face him; he carried her bridal style to the room.
Chu-Ok laughed “I love you, Jaejoong-shii." Chu-Ok said and the angelic man smiled.
“I love you too even when 'death do us part'." Jaejoong the angelic man said and put her down when they reached their bedroom and closed their bedroom door. Chu-Ok leaned against Jaejoong and kissed him as she encircled him with her arms. Jaejoong wrapped his muscular arms around Chu-Ok's waist and kissed her back; they broke apart after a moment.

"You better hurry and let me go to work before I’m late." Chu-Ok said as she lowered her lashes then her bottom lip. “
I don't think so. I can't leave you after you teased me like that." Jaejoong said smiling and carried her to the bed.
Chu-Ok couldn’t help but laugh.

---End Flashback---

A noise of pain accidently came out of Chu-Ok's mouth, Chu-Ok breathing heavily, quickly dropped her hand to her side clutching on the side of her shirt to endure that pain. The angelic man looked at Chu-Ok, Chu-Ok also looked at him. His was in shock, yet there was a hint of sadness and relief when he saw Chu-Ok. Chu-Ok tightened her grip on her shirt to not show pain in her body when she saw Jaejoong's shocked face turn to an angelic smile, almost like greeting her. Her vision went blurry, she swayed a bit, to prevent from falling Chu-Ok took a step back, Jaejoong's smile slowly turned into worry, and frightened. Chu-Ok just shook it off and smiled sweetly at Jaejoong, a tear slowly falling from the corner of her eye.

"C-Chu-Ok ah" Jaejoong stuttered. Now tears falling from her smiling eyes.
"Saranghaeyo Jaejoong oppa~" Chu-Ok said.

Jaejoong smiled in relief. His smile was so big that he could have torn his own mouth but his smile disappeared as quickly as it came, when he saw Chu-Ok suddenly slowly falling to the ground gasping for air. Jaejoong ran to Chu-Ok "Someone hurry and go get me a bed! Hurry!" Jaejoong yelled and nurses quickly scattered. Jaejoong brought his attention back to Chu-Ok "Chu-Ok, y-you’re going to be fine, okay? J-Just don't close your eyes again, Araso!?" Jaejoong stuttered and looked around to see if there was any bed coming.

"Jaejoong, help me please, I'm so scared." Chu-Ok whimpered then flashbacks flushed their way into Chu-Ok's vision. Chu-Ok screamed in pain "Please stop!!!" and grabbed her head.

"Chu-Ok! Chu-Ok! It's okay, don't think, just don't think....Chu-Ok just don't think about it please." Jaejoong said with tears rolling down his beautiful face. Chu-Ok tried not to think about it anymore but they forced their way in. Chu-Ok then screamed one last time, as if someone had stabbed her head with a screw driver. Finally the flashbacks stopped, her hands slowly dropped from her head to the cold floor. Her eyes slowly became like empty shells staring straight up to the ceiling but still had fresh warm tears falling, pain written all over her face.

"Nadu, Saranghaeyo, Nadu, even if death do us part, I will always love you. You can sleep as long as you want but don't leave me. Saranghae, chu’ok." Jaejoong said his tears falling on Chu-Ok's face.

'Oppa, saranghae, saranghae, saranghae, saranghae, saranghaeyo....' Chu-Ok tried to look at Jaejoong but she couldn't move anything, & her words couldn't come out and so she just let her tears did her talking and slowly her eyes drifted to deep slumber, yet again. Jaejoong seeing tears still falling from her closed eyes, he knew, he always knew.

“Doctor?” A nurse eventually came and interrupted his peace.

He snapped his head at the sudden voice and noticed a bed. Jaejoong lifted Chu-Ok’s limp body onto the bed.

“I apologize, we weren’t fast enough…” The nurse said but was cut off by Jaejoong

“No, it’s okay. You don’t have to worry about anything. I knew it was going to be like this but thank you for trying your very best. I’ll walk her to her room. You can go back.”

Jaejoong then slowly walked away pushing the bed with him.

"What do you think is with the relationship with them two?” The nurse asked the front desk nurse.

The front desk nurse rolled her eyes at the new nurse and said “Those two are lovers, Lovers! About 5 years ago it is said that the woman was at a store at the wrong time. There was a robbery at the store she was in. She was held hostage and even had a gun pointed at her head, unfortunately she wasn’t lucky and she got shot somewhere on her neck. When she started to recover from the wound and impact but she then started to lose her memories of everyone important in her life, the most memories she lost was of her Husband, Doctor Kim Jaejoong. Not only that, the loss of memory triggered something in her body and began making her sick. They think that her heart and body wants to remember but her brain doesn’t. Thus it is making the heart, body and the brain fight against each other. Eventually she gained back memory, but she said only painful memories came to her. The harder she tried to get memories the more painful it got. One day she woke up and remembered everything, she was normal again. She lived her happy life with her husband again but that only lasted for about 2 weeks. The real pain started after that. She was constantly turning and tossing. Screaming and yelling in pain as if someone was torturing her. Her body couldn’t take anymore, she fell asleep and never woke up again. Until today that is and then though I haven’t set eyes on her for 5 years, she’s still very beautiful.”

“Yah, Yah, tissue, tissue.” The nurse sniffed.
“Bwoh?” The Front Desk Nurse said
“Tissue! The tears, omo, the tears.” The nurse exaggerated.

The other nurse just handed her the box of tissue and mumbled “That’s right, it’s sad. It’s sad to the point you just can’t believe it. He’s been in this drama for 5 years and he finally got rewarded by just her smile. It’s sublime how he deals with everything. It’s still so beautiful, so bittersweet.”

“Did you say something?” the nurse said wiping her tears with a tissue.
The Front Desk Nurse just glared at her then yelled “Go back to your job! Before I fire you, you idiot! Aish!”

The nurse jumped from the shock and apologized then ran off somewhere.

2 weeks later, Park Chu Ok never woke up again…

After the funeral and everything was done, Jaejoong went back to work like any other day and still had a face of an angel, laugh of a gentleman, and sparkle in his eye every time he talked.

The only thing that did change was his left ring finger that was empty.

Jaejoong looked down on his empty left finger & smiled sadly. He always felt a sudden rush of sadness in his heart, he tried to wave it off but it got harder and harder as the day went by but the memories that were with him & her, made him smile.

“Even when death do us part, remember that chu’ok, wait for me.” JaeJoong whispered to himself and kissed his left finger.
